I'm not sure which ship you mean. I don't have any cruisers. Come to that, I only have 3 warships on my workshop - the EMGC ones. Warships aren't something I tend to build. Are you sure it's one of mine?

Yes, by all means please do publish your version when it's ready and send me a link to it. Apart from anything I'm curious to see which ship you've modified!

You're also free to rename your version whatever you like. All I ask is that if it's obvious that it's based on one of my designs, you post a quick credit & link to the original in your workshop description.

i think its your mk II cruiser thing, and was like needs more firepower, i changed the color to UNSC green, made a USC base, used the azimuth mod to get goo guns on it, and i replaced all except the big 1 in the back, and ones on the bottom with ION, since it will be a mainly space based ship, it actually works, i used the armored airlocks too, on the front to i used the MG's that came with the azimuth mod, ill link all mods i used and considered using when i post it when im done, i decided i would tell you first, then i was gonna ask if i could pot the variant i made of it, i may change the name to MK II HEAVY CRUISER

Yeah, balancing things is the hardest part of any build. Trying to make it look ok and have enough power / thrust / whatever to do what it's supposed to do is always a challenge.
I have dozens of blueprints for hulls that look amazing but are completely useless because there's just not enough places on them to put thrusters without ruining the style.
Started experimenting with "multi-grids" more recently - so I can use small-grid blocks in smaller large-grid ships to save room. Certain small-grid blocks just aren't powerful enough for large-grid ships but it can be handy for things like air vents & conveyors, timers, etc since you can fit 3x3x3 (or sometimes even 5x5x5) small blocks into a 1x1 large block space.

ill need to rduce the amount of guns, also i put a shield gen. so ill need to put it somewhere discreet, ill beed to smooth out the heavy armor i put on it and replace it with light armor, and try to troubleshoot what else might make it unbalanced

it cut my words, its useless in the empty world, the atmos thrusters i mean, i made the fromt 1 a room, the back two are being converted into a refinery and assembly arc furnace area

ill remember that, i took one of you ships put it in an empty world made a UNSC base, and then made the ship green and put a "few" modded in 205 mm guns among other things, and refineries arc furnaces and the such, gotta go in and rebalance it, make it survival ready, i took the atmos thrusters our bc they took up space i needed, and they are useless in that are anyways

You'll get there though. I've been building in SE for nearly 6 years now & have over 2,500 hours logged. When I first started out, my builds were horrible things... everyones were!
It's like anything in life - the only way to get really good at something is to do it a lot.
For me, I picked it up quickly because I design & build things for a living in the real world. Everyone's different though & we all learn at different speeds. There's no hurry to become an amazing builder - it's all just about enjoying yourself!

A good tip to start out with... get to know the Cut, Copy & Paste functions (CTRL+X, CTRL+C and CTRL+V) and the Symmetry function, then use them to cut pieces you like from ships and paste them onto other bits from other ships. It'll give you a feel for what blocks look good next to one another.

also imma say i here so i dont add a page, i forget to condense my stuff into paragraphs, which makes all my thots go into 20 posts sorry

i love all of your builds, they are interesting and all have a function, if i could build like you for an hour i'd be off to a good start in survival

The concept for those kind of changed when I adapted my P.I.S.S.A.R.S.E to fit on the same platofrm as S.L.U.T.S but yes, F.A.T will still unfurl at some point - it just wont be quite the same as I'd originally intended.
I haven't gotten around to S.L.A.G.S yet but I will. Then you shall have S.L.U.T.T.Y.F.A.T.S.L.A.G.S to play with!

@KagedDeamon... Sorry to hear you're not able to run the game at the moment. That sucks! Don't worry though - unlike normal S.L.U.T.S, mine wont run off & hook up with the next player they see if you don't use them straight away. They'll wait for you!
