Hey Leo! I'll try to work it in there at some point but the difficulty is finding a name and a build that both like each other. I have notebooks full of unused names and gigabytes of nameless builds but none that fit together. In my mind, I don't actually name my builds or even write the descriptions - they find their own names & write their own descriptions as I'm building them. I'm just the one who types it up. It's an art thing!
I could force the magic to happen but then it'd feel manufactured and I wouldn't enjoy doing it.
Have to just sit back & wait for it to come naturally... like doing a really good shit!

You still haven't used "Wonderful and Efficient Traveler's" for anything yet. (Refer to this comment section )

It's about time I earned that fandom & published some of the new stuff I keep mentioning isn't it! Got loads ready to go. Just have to get past this brain-lock on names & descriptions. Everyone in the world is so damn serious about stuff lately - I think all the seriousness has overloaded my cheesy gag chip!

As for what makes a great fleet... for me it's all about the vehicles working together in one world, with each vehicle having a clearly defined role and none of them being made redundant or obsolete by another. I think it's important that those roles be pragmatic in Survival mode too. Nearly all my workshop builds were born out of an actual requirement that I found while playing; then tested in trial-by-fire and tweaked until they perform exactly right.

I've made the Fleet Rankings v2 , where your fleet has been ranked on 47th place. Currently it simply ranks fleets based on average blueprint subscriber amount, but it could do so much more. I appreciate your work as fleet creator, and welcome you to join the discussion in comments here on what criteria would identify a great fleet.

The alternative of course is OpenOffice, which is not only 10,000 times better than MSO ever was and can open any file type you download the plugin for - it's also completely free!

@Leo... Yeah, I'm pretty sure you hear right. I recently had to download a copy of my friends CV for him using his Galaxy X6. The file came in .DocX format. When I emailed it from his phone to my desktop, my copy of MSOffice 2003 could not open it because the .DocX format is brand new and MSO 2003 doesn't recognise it.
I had to use an online converter just to open the damned thing because DocX can't simply be renamed to .Doc without becoming corrupted, as .DocX is encrypted.
When I tried to get a current version of MSWord I couldn't because there isn't one for DL. Only subscription.
It's all a huge scam. Money for old rope. Everyone's at it these days.
The new MSOffice does nothing that my 2003 version can't do. I'll be damned if I'll pay a subscription to this new cr@p!

I heard Microsoft Office went to subscription only. If that is true then I believe that was a foolish decision. Windows and Microsoft are the same thing and my computer automatically downloads ALL OTHER Microsoft apps except Office, which pretty much all Windows users use ALL THE TIME. A richtext document is, for all intents and purposes, a Word document, so why can't my computer identify Word files?
Besides, didn't previous versions of Windows come with Office pre-installed?

@Erik... I know the feeling. My current machine is still stable at least but it can't keep up with the best graphics any more, so isn't much good for making videos on.
The software I'd really like to get my hands on is Adobe Premiere Pro 16 or earlier (before it went to subscriptions only). I have nothing that'll comfortably run it though. I've got a copy of PPII lying around somewhere but that only runs on XP.

@eev... I have indeed thought about it but so far that's as far as I've got!
My biggest problems right now are that I don't have the software or hardware to create videos of a quality I'd be happy with.
If I can acquire the editing suite I want and get all new hardware then I'll be able to create some really pro stuff. Until then I just wouldn't be happy enough with the results to post them.
Also it'll be a huge time sink; and as much as I do enjoy video editing a lot, I enjoy building things even more!

I'll be moving house at the end of this month anyway & wont have internet in the new place for some time, so wont be able to put out anything new for a while. I'll continue creating tons of new stuff for when I return though - and who knows, maybe I'll be able to upgrade my hardware during that time & get some videos made too. We shall see.

@cptsavarus Have you thought about a youtube channel to demonstrate your wonderful machines? As well as how to put them together to your liking? Visually watching, I know, can help a lot more people use your machines properly and in turn learn more about the game and its deeper mechanics.
Plus, if you are bored from trying to think of new machines, it does give you a different project to work on. A bit of freshness in a way.

@Draxinius... You may indeed ask! Yes, I actually already have most of a modular space station. So far I've got about 30 pieces completed (minus finishing touches such as lights, control panel workups, etc) with maybe 10 in WIP and plans for about 40 more (better make that more like 50-60 more since the Survival update rolled out!)
It's a HUGE set!
If you look on my screenshot pages you'll find (somewhere in there) some screenies of parts of it. There's one that shows about a dozen modules connected together. It looks like a big yellow thing - you can't miss it!
Not yet sure when I'll be publishing it. There's too many to publish all separately so I'm going to divide it up into "playsets". Just have to figure out what to put in each set so it's useful on its own.

a small lil' question if i may ask, but do you intend to sometime release some modular space station builds once you get your planetary station modules all up and completed?

That's ok, with time you'll get better at building stuff. Took me hundreds of hours to get anything like good. Some pick it up faster but there's a lot to learn.
What do you want to do with connectors exactly? They can be used to temporarily connect 2 ships & transfer cargo / Oxygen / Hydrogen / control or they can be used to eject stuff. In both cases they need power and to be connected to a conveyor system by the port on the flat side. They're magnetic like landing gears & will pull other nearby connectors toward them when in range. You can adjust how strongly they pull & from what distance using the "Strength" setting in the control panel.

Sure thing! Sorry it's not there. It will be again one day! And no worries about the collector ship. I'll still work on one when I get chance, as it'd be a pretty useful thing to have and there aren't many on the workshop.

The thing in the banner isn't published. It used to be but my workshop.... met with an "accident" and it was wiped. I've been rebuilding it from memory & will publish it when it's done but it's not ready yet. I just added the image as I thought it was fitting.

To add the whole collection to your subs... there's 2 buttons just above the top item on the list. One for "Subscribe to all" and another for "Unsubscribe from all".
