I can't get the internal ID spawn to work, so in case this helps future people, this is the exact text that successfully wished for the tonic: "spawn homonostrum tonic"

As others have stated, equity tonics are not spawning right now. However, this mod is still functional, because equity tonic blueprints are spawning at a fairly high frequency at tinkers and schematics. It requires tinker II to craft, which means only intelligence builds or very lucky random skills from villages will be able to have implants.

Not terrible, but not ideal considering what most people want this mod for, which is the ability to somewhat fairly, gated by RNG, implant mutated characters.

Swung by to say thi is working for me.

I enable the mod, wish for the injector, use injector, use cyber terminal, press "ctrl +." to wait 100 turns, and keep waiting untill the effect of the tonic ends. AFTER it ends i save and exit. Then reload to feel safe. I now have a mutant with two cyber parts and it feels RIGHT

The ID is "Folz_HomonostrumTonic" - Thanks PixelSsh(ado) two comments down ;) Is anyone having issues with this? I haven't played CoQ in a while but if there are problems from recent updates I can look at it this weekend.

Wishing for this freezes my game. No error message just can't move only hit escape and when I go back in it is still frozen.

While I can wish for the tonic and it works as intended. It doesn't seem to spawn, ever. I adjusted the mod spawn chance to 100 (instead of 1-6) and still nothing.

Shoot yeah, thanks. I changed the name of the mod and uploaded again, so hopefully it changes the filename for when people download it again. If that doesn't work, maybe try deleting the file, then resubscribing? I'm not really sure how it's set up with steam.

I tweeted @FreeHold to let them know that they need to sterilise the string for the filename. Hopefully they'll fix it and this will no longer be a problem.

I'm guessing that the workshop.json file is created automatically based on the information on this page?
So changing the title on the workshop should fix the mod if you re-upload the file..?

Slight misunderstanding.. It doesn't matter what the name is on the workshop page, it's the assigned title inside the workshop.json file that is the problem.

This line is the problem. The game tries to create a file using the title, but the filename is invalid because it can't contain the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > |

Thanks! Someone pointed that out earlier but it looks like hyphens are also invalid. I changed the name to just "Equity Tonic". Let me know if that works.

I found out why this mod won't approve properly. The workshop.json file "Title" has characters that cannot be used in a file name, so the game cannot generate the modcheck-[ModName].json file.

By simply changing the title to EquityTonic, it approves correctly.
My suggestion would be to add the "Balanced Bridge Between the True Kin and Mutant Worlds" part into the description, at least in the mod itself.

The cause is the name of the mod; it has colons and asterisks in it, causing the mod file name to generate as "modcheck-Equity Tonic: Balanced Bridge Between the True Kin and Mutant Worlds: *Fixed*.json" ... @Urumi please rename the mod on the workshop to exclude these symbols.

Go to the workshop's download location for CoQ mods:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\333640\
Copy the directory named "1453122709" (this mod's ID) into your CoQ mods directory:
%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Freehold Games\CavesOfQud\Mods\
(or %LocalAppData%\..\LocalLow\Freehold Games\CavesOfQud\Mods\)

Then approve the mod the normal way.
You'll see the mod listed twice, it should be the top one.

@folzfodefelz Your explanation for manually approving the mod is kinda confusing, there's a bunch of folders and numbers and you're just telling us to.. Throw one of the random number folders into the Mod folder?

I attempted to add the mod manually but I don't think my game liked that at all xD So temperamental! Hope you find out what the issue is at some point ^^

I also experienced the unable to approve issue, and approving a mod folder version instead appears to have fixed it.

Hi Flyons, you are the second person to report this, thank you for mentioning it. I'm currently truying to figure out the cause of this issue, I'm pretty that it's a bug with the base game since it only effects the workshop uploader. Since this works for me, could you try copying the mod folder from the steam workshop directory (all of the folders are numbers, I know but if you organize them by date modified this will be near the top), going to your mods folder (in users/appdata/local/roaming/CavesofQud/, and pasting the folder from the workshop folder in there.

I do not appear to be able to activate this mod. I will of course unsubscribe from them all to see if its a specificallity of some interaction but given neither approving or disppapoving will actually work for it, I am unsure if that would help.

I think it ought to give true kin a random mental mutation or mutation points or something like that, given the permanent and unique benefits of true kin can be gained by mutants, albeit they must have the creds and implants. Perhaps they could sacrifice creds to gain mutation points? But that sounds hard to implement.

That's weird, I'll test that out and ask around. Hopefully it'll get fixed in the next week. The last thing to try if you haven't already would be to unsubscribe and then subscribe again, since sometimes steam doesn't update mods right away.

So I disabled all but this mod. Deleted all the .json files in "Mods" and tried to activate the mod ingame. No luck. Really unfortunate :c

Mutant vs truekin differences are actually really hard to change: the game decides whether something is treated as truekin or mutant based on whether the id name of the genotype has the word "true" in it. So you can actually make cybernetic snapjaws if you put the letters "true" in order anywhere in the id (see my snapjaw mod :) ) Since there isn't a parameter that lets you access cybernetics AND mutations, since even the UI changes depending on whether your genotype has the letters "true" in it, this mod works by changing your genotype name, simple as that. So if you're a mutant it adds "true" to the name, and then returns your genotype to its previous name when it wears off.

Found one, works like a charm. using wish commands or simmilar architecture to modify reputation might work for the putis templar problem. only other solution i could think of is possibly a genome mod (which is unfortunately permanate from the car creation).

This probably isn't related to my mod. I assume that your're on a PC so go to the C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Freehold Games\CavesOfQud\Mods. This should contain files with names like "ModCheck-[modname][numbers].json. Delete these and then try it again? You'll have to re-enable all of your mods scripting mods.

Seems like I can't approve the script in the mod menu. I get the box and hit approve. The box disappears but the mod keeps being red and needing approvement.

It should currently show up very rarely, deep underground or in the deathlands. I'm gonna merge it to the encounter tables I think because I've never found one in the wild. You can wish for Folz_Homonostrumtonic if you wanna try it out or reeeeaaaally want a mechanical arm for your mutant.

It should spawn on burned/mummified/moldy corpses deep underground since I added a tier to the item.

1) Yes there is no restriction on mutants using cybernetic, so long as they can get them istalled.
