The detail in these designs are much better than the original, for sure. In the original the rapiers looked more like sabres than anything, though, and would personally like to see HD versions but ultimately changed to look like proper rapiers rather than sabres. Still, I'm happy to see this game getting revived, I love it.

@Alexander Gabriel But the original NWN rapier geometry looks just like this, so Beamdog isn't really at fault here. Lol. I'd like to see Rapiers properly represented, too, albeit I'm not too overly fussed with fantastical designs, within reason--There can be leeway for some artistic freedom.

I love that you guys are reworking a lot of the original graphics.
May I offer some feedback?
I love the level of detail in these models, it really brings them to life! I also agree with the comments relating to these now looking more like sabres than rapiers. The handles and hilts also look a little bit thicker than the old models, which gives them a slightly cartoonish/WoW feel, particularly with the emphasised curve of the blades.
I suppose I'd like to see the rapiers in NWN more as rapiers; slightly longer and straighter blades and smaller/less bulky hilts and grips.

I'm quite sure a lot of work has gone into these and the other model updates, and it shows!
Keep up the good work Bealdog, bringing life back to a game I've played pretty much since release!

I can not seem to get these to swap color, only style. The image above shows multiple colors. Any clues?

While I undestand the intent of reworking the original models into newer graphics, I think it would not hurt at all to make rapiers more a bit longer, even if we agree to treat them visually as a sabre...

I agree on Daniel's point. Rapiers are thrusting weapons. These are more like sabers. I liked how there was a 4th saber option in the original content, but the rest were rapier class. It offered some diversity. Though this makes them all sabers, which is a bit weird.

You probably have conflicting content installed, like another weapon override. It functions, you just need to fix things on your end.

Beamdog, these are not functional. The .bin format is screwed up or something, it is not appropriately loading into people's stuff. =/

beamdog PLZ release standalone version, without workshop that we can manually install. cuz staem workship works like SH1T, i got many hours in tryin to get workshop work as it should be but still no way to. a lot of bugs. PLS put ur models ingame OR release for manual installing. I really like ur new models and cant use it cuz workshop got a lot of glitches. and I shouldnt be the only one:csgogun::Original_Assassin:

Why have you made these look like slashing weapons? Rapiers are traditionally stabbing weapons. Don't get me wrong, they look fantastic, but... more fantastic than realistic? By a lot?
