I'm really looking forward to a possible new version of this mod, as this control feature is my most requested one since vanilla Civ VI. It would literally be my most important mod. ^^

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of people that appreciate the work you're putting in. The original mod made a huge difference for me, so I'm looking forward to its re-release. (:

Thank you MadManCam for doing the work.

It really is perplexing why Firaxis wouldn't have had this functionality at launch. Keypad movement has been a staple of this series since the original Civ.

Looking forward to having this essential play style back in the game we all love.

I'm still working on a new version. I'm only able to sit down and work on mods one or two afternoons a week nowadays, so thanks for your patience everyone. It's also taking longer than I expected because I increased the scope of the mod, adding numpad interaction with other things in the game besides units.

@MadManCam Thank you very much for refreshing this mod. I've put thousands of hours into every Civilization since the first one, and Civ6 is getting relatively little because it hurts my old man wrists to have to use the mouse so much instead. Your mod makes that problem go away and I appreciate it. I will still keep pestering Firaxis to integrate this functionality again though.

Since the new updates my civ freezed on turn 1. I disabled all mods (don't know what caused the crash) and could play vanilla. I just use the numpad and Pablos fix.
For dummies like me:
1. Search for the file CNO_NumpadUnitMovement.lua
2. open file with notepad
3. scroll to the end
4. after the "Events.UnitMoveComplete.Add( OnUnitMoveComplete );" add this line: ContextPtr:SetHide(false);

@Ari k24 not sure, but it might be because you've seem to have copypasted bit too much from pablo's fix. I'm playing vanilla and it's working fine (had to start a new game).

You have:
Events.UnitMoveComplete.Add( OnUnitMoveComplete ); line:
ContextPtr:SetHide(false);

I have:
Events.UnitMoveComplete.Add( OnUnitMoveComplete );
ContextPtr:SetHide(false);

So you start by removing the "line:" at the end of Events.UnitMoveComplete.

hi all, i'm using the lastest CIV6 version with all extensions and i cannot make it work. I activated it despite the uncompatibility warning, and added the command line mentioned in the comments with notepad. Do I nedd to setup anything more ? I tried by activating or deactivate numpad it doesn't change anything. Any help would be much welcomed because i really need this :) - please add me or message me in steam if you have any help !

Thanks mharmless for the repost and to pablocalva for the fix. Still cant believe how lazy and out of touch these developers are to leave out such basic options in a game that always had keyboard shortcuts.

As is, it doesn't work in gathering storm, but you can edit the addon after it installs to make it work. @Pablocalva there figured out the problem down below. I've been using them since the guy posted em in January and I last played with it yesterday.

The file he talks about is part of the mod. The mod will be located under your steam folder, mine is in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content. In there you've got a bunch of folders with numbers. 289070 is the number that goes with Civ6. Then inside of that are you civ6 mods, this one has the number 1466281644,

Everything in that place, \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1466281644 are the files that make up the mod. Go in the UI folder, and there will be two files in there. The one that ends in .lua is the code for the mod, and that is where you want to make the edit @pablocalva figured out.

His comment is from Jan 4th in this thread and tells you what edit to make. I'll repaste it up here.

I can't get this to work with GS even though I added the following line to the modinfo file: <CompatibleVersions>2.0</CompatibleVersions>

Hi, @MadManCam I can't get this to work with the base game. In "Additional content" where the mod is listed, it actually says in red letters that the mod doesn't list itself as being compatible with this version of Civ VI.

I tried the trick in troubleshooting, but no banana. This is the only community mod I have. Any more tips?

Anyone had any luck with the compatibility line actually fixing it? I added it to mine, and while it flags it as version-compatible, it remains non-functional.
