I can not find any verser34, unfortunately

It seems it's a common bug with the Definitive Edition and Steam. Basically Steam doesn't download the mods in the right folder so the game can't see them. There's an explanation on how to fix this issue in the definitive edition version of my mod in the comments by verser34.

I'm having the same problem as DeMOiX.
DeMOiX 11 Sep, 2018 @ 3:04am
I don't know why, but your is only one mod which not be able to be downloaded. I tried many different things to do, clear cache, delete all mods, subscribe and unsubscribe again and again. Seems like all my subscribed mods has been downloaded again except yours... Something weird happens

The Definitive Edition version has been uploaded you can find the link in the description up above.
It should work just fine there's just an issue currently with the icon of the spell being a white square but I'll fix it as soon as possible.
DeMOiX 2 Sep, 2018 @ 9:07am
@Good Luck Chuck, it works thank you! Now we just have to wait for an official author's update
Sombrero  [author] 2 Sep, 2018 @ 2:16am
Thanks for I prefer to update it properly in the steam workshop instead of doing it that way. Even if it works. I can't ask of people to do such a method to get it to work on the Definitive Edition. It will have to wait the official method.

Alright, I'm not sure if there are any bugs caused from this 'hotfix' of sorts, I hope it doesn't cause more problems then it fixes, but after applying the fix I mentioned earlier, I was able to load a save, learn the spell from the book, and apply it to the Red Prince, he is fighting on his own accord in battle. So far everything seems to work, if you want to change the file without the work here you go

Not sure if this will help your problem I wasn't able to test it out myself yet, due to Monster Hunter, but I hope this will solve it.

Urgh. Brilliant. Well wait and see I guess. Thanks for the info though!
DeMOiX 1 Sep, 2018 @ 3:10am
Larian said will release DE editor next week
Sombrero  [author] 1 Sep, 2018 @ 1:42am
Well I would love to update it for the Definitive Edition. But without Larian's releasing their engine for it I can't do anything at all.
Stay on target, Porkins! 31 Aug, 2018 @ 9:09pm
Would love to use this with Definitive :) looking forward to it.
Sombrero  [author] 31 Aug, 2018 @ 12:04pm
Well no problems it's my pleasure making the mod, I'm glad you can enjoy it.
I'll do my best to put it on the boat then.
As for D:OS 1 I honestly don't know. I never looked into modding for the first game. If the scripting in the first game works similarly then probably yes, but I really don't know.
DeMOiX 31 Aug, 2018 @ 9:57am
Great. Because, personally, I toggle AI on every character, including my self. I just enjoy watching the fights. Once again a huge thanks for my dream come true.

P.S Is it possible to make similar mod for D:OS 1?
Sombrero  [author] 31 Aug, 2018 @ 9:52am
I'll look into it. Technically it's useless unless you plan to not even control your own character because you can't recruit anyone before the beach. I'll see how it is in the new engine when it's live.
DeMOiX 31 Aug, 2018 @ 9:50am
once you update a mod, could please also put a book right next to starting positions in the very beginning, where party wake up as a prison in the ship? So characters could learn this skill immediately
Squepps 31 Aug, 2018 @ 8:51am
Oh ok. I just thought I broke it.
Sombrero  [author] 31 Aug, 2018 @ 12:24am
It is not a bug. This is how it is meant to work. You can activate an deactivate the AI control at any time but the effect will take only for the next battle. When you deactivate it basically it will not activate again at the start of battle but you still need to finish your current battle to have it normally deactivate.

I wanted it that way so it is a small commitment to have the AI controlling your characters and not something you can change every turn at will (it also causes huge exploits if possible because of how turn order works in regards to losing control of your characters).
Squepps 30 Aug, 2018 @ 9:04pm
Hey, I tried this out and I think I found a bug. I tried to use the skill again to deactivate it during combat and now I can't control the npc at all.
Sombrero  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 4:17pm
Well I got more info and I simply need to wait for Larian to release the new engine compatible with the Definitive Edition. So I'll do that as soon as it's up.
DeMOiX 30 Aug, 2018 @ 2:19pm
Thanks for a quick response, we will wait, I can't play without this mod :D
Sombrero  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 1:04pm
I did not realized the update was already out. Very strange. I'll check on how to proceed to make it compatible.
Sombrero  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 1:02pm
I've already planned to, no worries. I have no idea how it will happen the transition to the Definitive Edition so hopefully it will be done max 24 hours after release but can't say for sure just yet.
DeMOiX 30 Aug, 2018 @ 10:26am
Could you please update it for definitive edition?
Sombrero  [author] 16 Aug, 2018 @ 8:02am
The book should be moved now with the latest update. Tell me if it works better (or not).
Sombrero  [author] 16 Aug, 2018 @ 7:46am
Yeah I'll move that, sorry for this issue. It's odd in the test environment I could reach it very easily just by walking. Either way I'll move it closer to the waypoint.
DeMOiX 16 Aug, 2018 @ 1:31am
Yes, only in Nameless Island. Where the book is even not possible to teleport my self with like a tactical retreat, the whole area in the broken ship is not reachable at all, I think it would be easier just to put the book on the ground next to the broken ship perhaps
Sombrero  [author] 15 Aug, 2018 @ 12:58am
Are you sure you can't reach it at all ? Because in the test environment I could reach all books (I've made sure of it) with lvl 1 characters without anything. Just by walking next to it and clicking on it.

I'll double check that and make it easier to access if it's an issue. Thanks for the feedback!
DeMOiX 14 Aug, 2018 @ 8:35pm
In Act 3 Nameless Island your book is unreachable nor teleportable. If everyone encountering this bug put max points in your character Telecintics and then just move it from ship to the reachable ground place. Then re-spec your points again
DeMOiX 14 Aug, 2018 @ 3:32pm
Nice mod, I think it's better than AI controlled NPC's because AI still is on after death. Thank you. I hope you will update it for Enhanced Edition later on after release
Malevolent_Felippe 14 Aug, 2018 @ 10:46am
muito bom:steamhappy:
Uraoen 10 Aug, 2018 @ 2:01am
Works as intended.
Sombrero  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 1:40am
It's different from the other mod in a few different key ways:

* Custom art for the True Companion skill
* Only one spell instead of 6 to use the mod with a switch on/off effect on one spell instead of having one spell for ON and one for OFF
* No UI clutter. The True Companion effect is voluntarily invisible to the player on the UI so you can enjoy the game the way you want and have the AI setting being a background work instead of being in your face at all time.
* Last and certainly not least the True Companion effect lasts for as long as you decide. The effect persist through death, re-spec, character swapping and so on. Your companion really becomes a True Companion, it's not just a temporary effect. And of course you can reverse that setting effortlessly.
Barbelith 8 Aug, 2018 @ 9:18pm
How is this different from the AI Controlled Combat NPCs mod? Is the behavior any different?
Dęąth Viper 8 Aug, 2018 @ 3:51pm
thats really fucking cool! Thank you!!
