No problem! Also, Sir Eggmond made the unit originally, I just modified a few skills and updated it. I hope that you have an excellent time.

Can all your 3 mods work together or you need to have activated only one at once?

alright I'll give it a go.

Replace what you want, save as something with a diff name into the data folder of your attila game, save the same pic from the data or numbered workshop folder (or edit a new one with paint, 3d, or photoshop if you are saucy) into the data folder as well, and give them the same name. You can't have spaces in the name and have to use '_' instead between words. Open up attila, hunt for the file name or pic that you used DON'T check the subscribed box until you upload it using the button prompt on the portrait and then subscribe once you've said yes to everything. uncheck the box in the launcher for this one if you are using your modified version but keep it fav'd/subscribed so if you edit it later and mess up you can just open the modded file and the OG and edit until it's tasty again.

Boot up and kick the huns to death.

I'm going to keep it as-is. Honestly just go in and keep trying dude. I'm not changing the download for the 100 or so people for one person when it can be changed on your own with some desire and filehunting.

Once you have the 'game' set for ATW in the top middle bar and wait for it to reload, get 'db' opened out of your attila data section where the mod might be, or steam-> steamapps-> workshop-> content and go to the numbered section for me; 325610, making sure that you have the file type at the bottom left of the file name bar to 'All File' so you can see the picture attached with the mod for easy searching.

Then open up files until you find the mod you want to edit. Once you open it up land_units_unit_abilities_junctions_tables and left click the Sax_Egg that pops up. You should be able to click on the formations and have a scrollbar with all of the unit abilities in the game for your selection.

would you maybe be willing to remove the mobile testudo and switch for the defensive, mobile is pretty pointless, becuase as soon as they get attacked it breaks, and archers and cavalry just tear it apart, much faster.

I used pfm a few months ago an adjusted shogun 2 shimazu sword samurai to 240 from 160, but i wasn't able to do anything else really or figure out how to use it effectively, just kept crashing when ever i altered something else, so i just gave up on it. another modder helped me through the basics. But for me its one of those thing's if you dont use it you lose it. So i honestly forgot how to install-adjust it.

You aren't being cheeky or a prick; I totally forgot I had attack testudo in this one, it's been forevs and I didn't give your comment the time it deserved. You even gave historical support. Good on you dude. I still don't want to change it for this version. I'm going to be candid: For my play version I have both testudos in use for the unit cause I hate shield wall with a passion, even with the stats boosted, plus testudo is aesthetic af. I feel like 2 testudos is too much for a non-roman unit IN GAME, for folks that like vanilla balance but want a new unit.

Do you know how to use PFM and edit it in? That's what I learned to do since I hated having units underpowered for radius/overpowered for vanilla. I can walk you through it if you want. I have around 72 mods that are private and edited to fit my plays across games. It is satisfying when you can balance it out to fit your desires. :steamhappy:

Hate to sound Cheeky, but if you going to say you dont think they would of used stationary testudo, why did you give the unit mobile testudo, for an offical Nord mod ^^ you would think for Offical reasons, if they "mastered" Offensive moving turtle shell they would, know how to maintain it in Defensive. also For a Historical little note, A french monk that wittnessed Rollos Raid on Paris said the Barbarians Formed a Testudo when Attacking. of course he may of missinterupeted what he saw, from what he read up on about the roman version, but its open for speculation i guess. again not trying to sound like a prick, its your mod and you are polite enough to share it with the rest of the world, I'm just asking if you could adjust it when you have some free time to spare, if not which you previously stated then ok thanks for sharing.

Happy new year KorkronElite121! Feel free to edit the file yourself with Pack file manager. I don't think that the nords used testudo, but for the Aux (roman) version they do use def testudo! So imma keep this one free of it for an official nord mod.
abc 28 Dec, 2018 @ 6:47pm
any chance you could add defensive testudo to this unit mod :D Happy new year btw

Anyways. I made each only work one or none because it fits, and I am not good with learning texures. I hope to eventually make a compolition that gives the unit to all of the covered factions but making each version LOOK different to match each culture each belongs to. I am slowly learning, but I have gotten interested in other things and am looking for a steady job right now. This has slowed my progress in this project. I hope to at least have a rough product by the end of the year. Eggmond did a great job on the textures and made the unit great, so I don't want to release anything unless I am fully invested, which is not happening right now.

What is big big sebks? Each one works only on its own because I felt like it would be a little odd to have abunch of cultures with this unit at once. Each pack is meant to fit a campaign for that specific flavor. ex. Maybe the roman HBD mod if you are playing a roman campaign, the nordic one if you are playing a nordic faction etc. Each pack also gives different stats and abilities for the unit.
Kerovanka 5 Oct, 2018 @ 6:41am
yes, several. big big sebks(it work). Why did you do it(didn't know about it)?
Witchkingofdangmar  [author] 4 Oct, 2018 @ 4:00pm
Hey @Kerovanka. Do you have more than one Highborn Daughters mod active at the same time? After some testing, I was able to replicate your issue by activating two mods at once. Each of the daughters mods are meant to be mutually exclusive. You cannot run more than one of them at the same time. Please let me know if this helps.
Kerovanka 4 Oct, 2018 @ 1:19pm
no see in custom battle this unit. mod work?
