interesting - I've removed all of the mapvote-related lua files I could find from prop hunt, and it still doesn't seem to be working lol. I wonder what's going on, I reeeaaally want the map icons

oh that's fine. it's just that when I add this addon to my prop hunt server, I can't see the map previews.

Check the other settings. If you have more maps then the number in the config it chooses a random set of them

so... Sandbox? Yea, it's configured for TTT by default. If you open the garrysmod/data/mapvote/config.txt file on your server and modify the MapPrefixes value from "ttt_" to "gm_" then it should show stuff.

I'll see if its something I need to change tomorrow but although I am now getting your mapvote popup, its after about 3 rounds instead of what i specify in prophunt's \gamemodes\prop_hunt\gamemode\shconfig.lua

Maybe I should add that I am not directly subscribed to it. I downloaded it via the github link on its page so that I could modify the code slightly. (changing round count and .wav files) but also to stop cstrike maps appearing in its built in mapvote.

I've always used the most subscribed version "PropHunt (Hide'n'Seek) - Original" but it does always have "fretta" related lua errors so might not be the best one.

It doesn't have auto vote support for prop hunt. I can look into adding it. Which specific prop hunt version are you using?

I can get this mapvote from the ulx xgui and it displays my prophunt maps after i added when i have "prop_hunt": "ph_" in AdditionalMaps but it doesn't automatically appear after 10 rounds. some other maybe default text based map vote appears with a bunch of cstrike maps. How do i make this mapvote appear at the end instead for prophunt?

Enable the CurrentMap setting and it will show in the list. I dint think there's a way to have a replay button though

I'm not super familiar with that part of it, but I think if you make sure the config.txt "MapPrefixes" setting is either deleted or empty ("MapPrefixes":[]) then that might work?

Since that's handled on the client I don't really want to add a config file setting for it, but I added the "cl_mapvote_voter_alpha" convar so users can set it on their own. If you set "cl_mapvote_voter_alpha 255" it will remove the transparency entirely.
