felt so good to crack the last puzzle in this one - and that closing sequence... amazing!

Orange cubes dont slide, i checked in the walkthrough that they did in the past, the map is broken now i think.

I have a flashlight and brightness turned up all the way and I still couldn't see for shit. Amazing puzzle idea, but if I can stand in the middle of a hall and not have enough room to stretch my legs, then you're doing something wrong

Puzzle - clever idea, but execution was horrendous

BTS area - good! Just needed a bit of fog and lighting to up the atmosphere, but I liked the sync with the song, which is also a good selection. I just wish you hadn't used the gels as they didn't go well with the ambience.

I know this map is over a year old at this point but i've noticed that sometimes the cube doesn't trigger the activator field thing. It took me a while to find the solution but got frustrated when it took numerous times of doing the same thing for it to actually trigger.

There's a small problem in this map: in the very beginning when you're getting up there using red field if you set one portal on wall againist window (in upper room), then set up a portal down there (where you came out when jumping up) and jump inside, you'll fall out of window and keep respawining and dying becaue of falling out of window over and over again.

@Person Meetup All Source games use the same system for textures, a VTF and a VMT file are both necessary to use a texture. You can find these in the respective "materials" directories for Portal, Portal 2, Team Fortress 2, etc. Just drag and drop from [portal/materials] to [portal2/materials] and restart Hammer, it should work :isitcoffee:

Puzzle here was good. I do agree that there should be more lighting though.

Also, how did you port the original Portal's textures into Portal 2? Would like to know for a personal project.

@Mr.Jaffles that message is hardwired into the level. After restarting your game, the audio will work properly. The message will show every time regardless of this.

It won't load for me! I close the game and open it again (the game is has restarted) and it still shows up with "To properly hear this level, please restart your game" can someone help me!

The speed gel seemed to wear off the cube after a couple of attempts, making it much harder than it needed to be. Was that on purpose?

The puzzle in this one was ridiculous. The timing element coupled with portal surfaces only selectively accepting portals made this puzzle more hassle than fun.

The lift ride, while it is interesting, does not make up for the sheer frustration felt in trying to get there.

That elevator ride was amazing, but it in no way made up for the puzzle you had to solve to get there.

I restarted my game multiple times and it's still telling me to restart my game, because of this I am unable to finish the series.

In the area with the two red bouncy doors, take a cube covered with gel. Bounce cube off red door closest to bouncy thing on floor. Have a portal at end of hall and another one at end of hall with yellow door. Cube slides through door and changes out red door. Before it goes through yellow shoot portal to area that will get a fizzler to reappear.

thats what i was doing but it doent give me enough time to get a portal on the wall. am i doing the right thing. i have a portal in the room the broken window and one in th room where the yellow wall is. what i try to do is slide a cube so it goes through the yellow door. but then i have to run jump up on the window sill get myself so i can see the portal surface above me and hit it before the fizzle wall goes across it. then i can use the bounce surface to fling across. is that right or am i totally off base?

That was absolutely mind-blowing. I loved the homage to the first game using the all the original source engine aesthetics for the ending. Well done.

Thought i recognized that song in the elevator ride, Jake Chudnow's music really did make that scene quite epic.

That elevator ride is even more depressive than one in Portal stories: Mel ending, but, somehow, that one did forced me to cry, and this one didn't.
