It doesn't care about map mods, and it isn't specific to any class, or even grappling specifically, hence the description mentioning it affects Sparks and Icarus Amor jumping for example.

@Mr. Nice - Would it be possible to create a mod that deals with another annoying Grappling Hook bug? Namely, the one where you are no longer able to change elevation for targeting with a controller? I've heard it happens because of too many abilities on the menu, but I can't help thinking it could be avoided by making it an ability you select, then confirm the target, like most AoE abilities in the game.

Whats hilarious is i never ever have had this issue, then i saw this mod and went no need, im good. Two days of playing later, son of a bitch, it happened.

@Lord Tachanka: A quick check shows that the vanilla version of XComTacticalHUD is essentially identical to WotC, so it should work with Vanilla, but hasn't been tested.

I just added a bit to the description for those who want to know what this mod technically does. Although grappling is the most obvious bug this fixes, since the tiles are highlighted, as noted it affects anything which you would legitmately aim the mouse there for, which other than grappling usually means jumping a SPARK or Icarus Armoured soldier up there.

That's a different issue, well not really an issue, but when there are multiple selectable locations/items under the mouse pointer, stuff matching the current camera elevation (or lower) takes preference. Leading cause of "mis clicks" when moving near the edges of cliffs that.

I've had this problem, but I can fix it by scroll-wheeling the elevation.

Well the screenshots are legitmate, showing the same grapple tile being moused over with and without the mod. As I intimated in my previous post, without map mods the issue doesn't really show up much until the final mission, although some of the more alien architecture inspired Facilities have the issue here and there.

Bring a grappling hook/SPARK/Icarus Armour on the last mission, its all over the place in the semi-random rooms early on. If you use map packs which allow that kind of enviroment as an option for the "underground" Guerilla Ops, it becomes obvious much earlier!
