@Lord7even Just out of curiosity how exactly was this mod modifying the elevators before it broke? I only ask because there are two mods altering elevators that I can think of and confirm that are currently working those being "Configurable Elevators - Ingame Speed Management" and "LBPR - Additional Features - v7.1.3" the latter having an entirely new large elevator entity which seems to work just fine, so based on that a revival of this mod does seem possible assuming the methods used to modify the elevators are at all similar.

The major problem is, if you "try to modify the elevator in any aspect" then it won't work like the normal elevators do. even with no modifications at all, a moded elevator won't find a valid target point. So there is no way to make them longer, faster.. you can't even make them look different at this point. And like tris.U saied.. the developers don't care because they actually don't know who made changes to the elevator code in the first place so they just can't fix it themselvs... Hope you all have fun with the (hopefully) not so broken mounts and just leave elevators as they are ;-)

i know lord7even personally and i can say that this mod won't be continued until the devs sorted out some problems deep in the code. Lord7even tried several times to fix it, but the devs dont seem to care as far as i can remember. it is a real pitty cos this mod was sooo handy...

Is someone working on thisone or ? As the fetures of this Mod is awsome and will be nice to have it work. If thats not posible then it will have been cool to ust have the fetures that make so you can build a longer elevator as it is now its only 32 bloks, but wil have been cool to have it on 72 oe something.

Any vanilla (non-dlc) door frames / doors you built with the mod active will vanish when you remove this mod.

Hey @Lord7even,

Have some info for you. Because the mod stopped working, the game deleted all default doorframes including the doors in them through out the entire game.

If you ever get this mod to work again, you should consider removing the none-collision doorframes so those are no longer affected.

still not working. I've tested it today with a completely new mod. The elevators still can't find a valid end location.

No answer from Funcom yet. I think the one who made the elevator changes forgott to commit them to the dev kit. At least this would explain why no instance or child class of the originals works. ;)

What sort of makes it worse with the mod currently being broken is we can't remove it to get working placeable elevators! Doors on my server would all explode!

I hope you/Funcom figure out what is causing this.

Might want to flag this as currently broken. It doesn't work and would save players a ton of pain. Atleast put it in the description so that players know that the elevators cannot be placed.

I wish I could help, can you extract elevator class from the game itself, then create child class and maybe it will work?

A few devkit updates has passed but still no change. If I create a child class of the original elevators (which is the way to go) they still won't find a valid end location. I'm currently asking in discord for help. maybe I'll get some advices there

we have to wait until the dev kit gets an update which fixes the placement bugs. I recreated the elevators from scratch recently, but they dont work. child classes of original elevators can not be placed. even unmodified ones.

@Bartinga ok. I'll keep that in mind and will increase vertical elevators to 100x32 again. just keep in mind that this setup can (or will) cause problems on server based gameplay

@sidewalksurferXX This is true. I'm using another mod (don't want to advertise it here). Most of them don't have the functionality fo this one (according to the description). I'm using those that work for now, but as soon as this get's fixed, if a timly maner, I'll be adding it again

bugfix is in progress. problem is, that I cant figure out what they changed with placeables. I'll have to manually debug all the placing code I guess... and that takes some time

checked the boxes again and they're all hidden now. I also decreased the distance to 78 tiles which seams the maximum amount without making the elevators disapear during the ride

yes that's what i mean on the update where you removed the debug lines there were still lines on the lever that are still there to this day

That is not a problem with this mod, it is a problem with the game it self. This also happens with wheels of pain and other placeables. I can also confirm it often does not happen with the horizontal elevators. One bug that does persist in this mod is despite the debug boxes being removed from most of the elevators meshes it remains on the lever that controls the elevators.

Actually... I think it's affecting all mods that either change existing items/objects or add new building blocks from what I've tested it with right now. Despite that, Vertical Elevators kept breaking like said but horizontal ones were working fine.
