is this mod still being updated?
Mirahael 4 May, 2015 @ 11:17am
think you could do a mage tower home that is made from the floating towers/castle parts of the soul cairn on a hill in skyrim near riverwood with it's own invincible friendly soul cairn skeleton guards?
the frozen flame 10 Jun, 2013 @ 7:24pm
move the location we want that
ronr42 16 Oct, 2012 @ 1:18pm
@Gemini Man; i don't know why you've been missing in action for all this time. it's really too bad. you had a great mod that only needed a few bugs worked out. unfortunetely your mod conflicts with Dawnguard. if you ever get back to working on updates, i suggest you make sure it is compatible with the 1.7.6 patch, Dawnguard and now Hearthfire. take care
Monkeh! 27 Sep, 2012 @ 7:27pm
The keep is in the same location as the Vampire castle in the Dawnguard DLC... Could you perhaps move it to anoter location?
maclunkey michael 3 Sep, 2012 @ 6:54am
When I walk up the steps to the Keep, the game closes.
Monkeh! 13 Aug, 2012 @ 10:55pm
I just have to ask. I have used Mountain Crest. And I loved it. But for some reason I just could not stick with it.
I am trying this mod, and it looks great! But is this a on-going project? Will you keep wokring on it? :)
But anyways... Mod is looking good! Love that it's kind of "hidden" and that there is an interesting way to get the key! :D

MORT CANNOT DIE!! WTF!!
adg211288 17 Apr, 2012 @ 11:50pm
Cool place. But what's the deal with The Eye of the World? Those enemies are way too overpowered. They wipe out my level 61 character in a few hits, even on Novice difficulty. It's easier to kill the near Immortal Mort than take even a bit of health off one of those guys before they've killed you.
ronr42 31 Mar, 2012 @ 10:30am
@Gemini Man; since you haven't updated yet, i thought you should know i found another small bug. in the transference void theres a small alcove [indent in the wall] where if you walk into it, you fall down, down, down into a dark void. boy i hate being the bearer of bad news. hope your work on the update is going smoothly. take care.
Talimat 25 Mar, 2012 @ 1:19pm
wow is all i can say
ronr42 23 Mar, 2012 @ 9:05pm
@Gemini Man; Yah, you might have been a bit ambitious in creating your mod. yet, thats what a wizard does. makes the impossible and improbable happen out of thin air. its a wonderful thing you have done and are working on. i for one am patient. take the time you need to improve on what is already a great experience. OH, and did i mention i want to see worm holes, black holes and alternate realitys in your next update. JUST KIDDING!. what ever you do will be just fine. [still haven't found the lost secret yet]
Gemini Man  [author] 20 Mar, 2012 @ 8:13pm
Time to check in again.

@Samuel and Ronr - Yeah What Ronr said about the location.

@ Blackbeard - Glad you like it.

@Gabriel - Sorry it creeped you out. Adding a few NPCs is on my list of things to do. I have concrete ideas for two NPCs, which should bring the keep population to 4 if you include the cat. Look for at least one of them next update (or not, since you unsubscribed and are unlikely to see this.)

@Mikaeo - Yup. Dresden files is the best (the books, not the sub par TV show.) Glad you like.

I am currently working on an update for this mod. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I might have been a bit too ambitious in starting what I want to do, so this could take a while. Expect a much larger experience to appear sometime in the comming weeks.
Mikaeo 19 Mar, 2012 @ 10:56pm
Someone likes the Dresden Files :D Nice mod. I LOVE the cameos.
Old Rooter 19 Mar, 2012 @ 6:27pm
A wonderfull mod however its so empty that its almost... depressing, unsubscribed sorry you should put some npcs its kinda creepy empty like that...
King Haggard 19 Mar, 2012 @ 3:14am
I just toured the keep, and I must say that I am very pleased. I think that I finally found a house mod that works for me.
skywok44lzxl 18 Mar, 2012 @ 8:53am
This mod is amazing.
ronr42 18 Mar, 2012 @ 7:23am
@samuelgillcash; theres a map in the screenshots. if you still need directions, its in the far northwest end of the skyrim map on an island just off shore. look for northwatch keep [tower] and its just off shore from that. as shown in map above. keep in mind you have to go to Ragnvald wordwall [ a dungeon a few minutes walk northwest of markarth] and get the key from a strong box infront of the wall. then you can fast travel from Ragnvald to lokgol keep without discovering it first. *** its worth the effort. i highly recommend this mod. its alot of fun to explore and find the treasures within.
sesh31 17 Mar, 2012 @ 7:11pm
does anyone know where it is?
LOL

ronr42 12 Mar, 2012 @ 3:45pm
GEMINI MAN; LOL, ya i'm the same way about losing things. hid that million dollars i had, just can't seem to remember where. i didn't get a chance last night to go back to the hunt. had to get some sleep/work today. going hunting in just a few minutes. is there a special prize if i find the lost secret before you do?
Gemini Man  [author] 12 Mar, 2012 @ 10:48am
Hi again Ronr42. No, you did not find the really hard one. But I am working on an update now where I am going to make it a bit eaiser to find. I tried to find it last night myself and couldn't. When the creator can not find a secret item, that is truly the mark of something that is too hard to find. Also, thank you for letting me know about the bugs. The update will certianly address them, as well as add a few other things/tweak a few things I am not happy with.
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 8:24pm
heres
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 8:24pm
@ Everyone; hers a couple of hints; look up look down, on top and underneath. oh, and bring your swimsuit. have fun.
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 8:20pm
GEMINI MAN; i just thought of something. if all five secrets are golden, then i only found 2 of them. going back to the treasure hunt and while i'm there see if i can take care of sah. going to throw everything i've got at him. wish me luck.
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 6:59pm
@EVERYONE; THIS IS A MUST HAVE MOD! its the greatest adventure a house mod could ever provide. its almost > no, it is a mini game within a enormus house mod. no number of screen shots can show you how large this place is on the inside. tons and tons of objects placed everywhere. several of them transport you to tough battles and useful treasures. a true wizard designed and built this keep. i recommend you subscribe right away, go to ragnvald wordwall and get the key [its a few minutes walk north west of markarth]. go to lokgol keep [ you can fast travel from ragnvald ] and have a great time exploring the best house mod there is. after that move in. it has everything a DRAGONBORN could want!
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 6:40pm
gemini; i also found a couple of small bugs; 1. in crypt i jump on the shrine of julianos and got stuck [loaded a quick save] 2. where muninn is i walked behind the chest into the pitch black area. in one of the corners i past into a void. black as night and couldn't walk back out. [ loaded a save] 3. in the transference void 4 of the transportation stones say " to skyrim". they are the ones that go to winterhold, dawnstar, morthal and falkreath. these bugs are tiny and probably easy to fix. before i forget, ol mort was a tough nut to crack. ifrit was fun[first time i went at him he had two mages with him, they killed me, the second time he was alone?] and SAH i'm leaving for another day. level 54 and i got tired of dying.
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 6:22pm
gemini; the things i've found so far are; muninn, huginn, mjolnir, gram and hellfire with war axe of blaze from what i think are all five of the secret places. also found; both copies of forge recipe, thunderstrike, trick staff, cure tome. plus excalipoor. so i must have missed a couple. only question is, is one of these the one you say is really hard to find?
ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 6:11pm
@GEMINI MAN; wow, where do i begin? how bout with, this place is AMAZING! it has been a wonderful adventure! took me at least 4 hrs. to get through it this first time. i will be going back tonight. i'm sure i missed at least a couple of things. i'm also moving in. will keep proudspire and this house too. dropping my other house mods. lokgol keep is the best house mod there is. its going to be my home away from the wife and house carl.
Gemini Man  [author] 11 Mar, 2012 @ 1:25pm
@Ronar42 - There should be 5 secret areas and eight special treasures speread out around the keep, not counting the items you get from the secret areas or the treasures entombed with Sah. One of the secret items is REALLY hard to find. I'll probably make it a bit easier to find when I update, because I placed the item and I sometimes have a hard time finding it.

As for the size keep, perhaps I'll post another shot upclose and personal with the tower. It really does look quite huge when you are staring up at it. Thanks for the advice.

@DuskBringer - Glad you like it.

ronr42 11 Mar, 2012 @ 11:25am
@GEMINI MAN; just checking back in to your page before continuing the treasure hunt and exploration of this great mod. sure would like to know how many secrets there are. just so i know when i've found them all. also, you ask people to comment on the looks and functionality of the mod [careful what you ask for]. before i even go back to the hunt, i have a observation i think is significant. in the screen shot of lokgol keep the picture doesn't come close to representing the shear size of the keep. it is huge inside. the pic makes it look fairly small. think your potential subscribers should know just how expansive it is. it becomes even more so when you are transported to the secret areas.
AWest 11 Mar, 2012 @ 1:58am
This is a great keep..and mod. I really like it and I hope you will fix the biggest issues it has. Keep going! :)
ronr42 10 Mar, 2012 @ 9:45pm
@GEMINI MAN; all i can say is WOW this place is great, and i've barely made it through the front door. i just an hour ago decided to go back to ragnvald wordwall and get the key. [you might want to tell people they can fast travel to lokgol without discovering it first] i don't want to give a spoiler so i'll just say, i found the secret to get the muninn right away. you built yourself a little scavenger hunt into this mod did ya. because of my find i shut the game down for the night. after i get some work done tomorrow i'm going to search this place from bottom to top. don't suppose you would like to tell me just how many of those little secrets there are? i love treasure hunts and the little extra surprises waiting for me have already turned out to be both fun and funny.[like the excalipoor sword]. think this is going to prove to be the best house mod there is. thanks.
ronr42 10 Mar, 2012 @ 3:34pm
@GEMINI MAN; your welcome. thanks for the mod and excepting my apology. i think the other mod that crashed the game was built on the same ground where i already had a mod. don't know for sure, but maybe thats what did it.
Gemini Man  [author] 10 Mar, 2012 @ 1:32pm
@ronor42: No worries. Good to hear that you got it all figured out. Also good to know my mod isn't a problem causer. Thanks for following up and following through.

@Daxosgumore: There is a posted screenshot with the exact location if you are still having trouble finding the location.
ronr42 10 Mar, 2012 @ 10:52am
@daxosgumore; its at the most north western end of the map. just north of the northwest keep[tower] and on an island just off shore. theres not much else in that area. you shouldn't have any trouble finding it.
crystalride 10 Mar, 2012 @ 8:39am
where the hell is this location?!?!?
ronr42 9 Mar, 2012 @ 10:47pm
@Gemini Man; I OWE YOU A HUGE APOLOGY! it wasn't your house mod that was crashing my game. yours is still turned on in the data files. i mixed up the names of your mod and another house mod i subbed to after yours. the names are not even close to being the same. the other one is what i had turned off and the game started fine. don't know how i could have gotten the two confused. i'm thinking, maybe i've been lost in skyrim a little too long [500+ hrs and counting]. anyway once again i apologize.
ronr42 9 Mar, 2012 @ 11:19am
I HAD A THOUGHT; because i'm a big dummy and don't really know how the modding works, this may sound crazy. one thing that makes your mod unique to any other mod i have is, you created a whole new island that has to spawn when the game launches. is it possible it is at least for my system, not reading that part of the files correctly and freezing as a result?
ronr42 9 Mar, 2012 @ 11:11am
@ GEMINI MAN; ok i'll give it a try a little later today. just reading mod pages while i have some lunch. got to go back to work in a bit. i'll let you know if it helped. i know your mod or any house mod shouldn't crash game. ones i thought might be a problem are the large texture, scenery, weather and water improvement mods that effect the graphics rendering of the whole game world. you mod is only 3mb and is in one small area. i have mods that are 30. 40 and 1 is 54mb [thought there was a 50mb cap on uploads]. plus i have no other mods that effect that area of the map. check back later.
Gemini Man  [author] 9 Mar, 2012 @ 9:25am
@ Manilla - Worry not. There are plenty of stabby things hidden in the tower that a warrior would just love.

@ |BTR| ^8Marci & Satansnipple - Thanks. Glad you like it.

@Ronr42 I have no idea why my mod would be causing CTDs. When you really break it down, my mod doesn't do anything more than add a crapton of objects that already exist in the world to another part of the world and duplicate a few existing objects. I suspect a conflict deep within the bowles of one of your other mods.

If you could turn off all your mods but mine and let me know if your game is still crashing, that could let me know if it is a problem with some system configurations, or a problem with "something" else out there.

Thanks for letting me know abotu the problem.
ronr42 9 Mar, 2012 @ 6:15am
P.S. graphics card drivers are up to date [295.73]
ronr42 9 Mar, 2012 @ 6:13am
@Gemini Man; i wasn't going to post a comment, because i have no idea why this happened. maybe you have an idea. first time i turned the game on after subbing, your mod caused the game to crash to desktop. would not load from any save. had 4 new mods that day. turned them off in data files and back on one at a time. it was yours. have heard of mods crashing some machines but, i have had no problems til now. i have 70+ mods. new houses, weapons, mannequins, bella's, calientes, proudspire expansion, etc. no trouble with any. i have a mid level machine; win 7 64 bit, core 2 quad 2.4 ghz, 1 gb gt240, 4 gb ram. games set to ultra, 16x anisotropic and 8x antialiasing. only thing i can't run is the bethesda's HD texture pack. it kills my frame rate but, doesn't crash the game. you or anybody got an idea why this happened?
Real Degen Hours 6 Mar, 2012 @ 10:18pm
Just wanted to say amazing job. This is the greatest mod yet. I look forward to seeing more mods from you in the future
Mr.Marci 6 Mar, 2012 @ 11:37am
this mod is amazing
Manilla Turtle 5 Mar, 2012 @ 8:01pm
I'm not magically inclined...*cry*
ronr42 5 Mar, 2012 @ 2:26pm
@Gemini Man; thanks for location pic. subscribing now. the location pics are always a good idea because many, many modders are building on the same piece of ground. great that you made a whole new island. no worry about conflicting with other mods.
Gemini Man  [author] 5 Mar, 2012 @ 1:41pm
I cerated the island myself, so the keep isn't on an existing island. It is just north of northwatch keep, which is located west north west of solidude. I will upoload a picture in a minute showing the exact location.
ronr42 5 Mar, 2012 @ 11:49am
Q: where exactly is the island? its not the one just north of solitude port/docks is it? the reason i ask is, i have Dynasty Manor mod and i don't want to lose it. the pick of the island looks similar yet i'm not sure. i'll check back to you page later. this house does look great. would like to try the mod.
