why there is no corpse i can do research??? i just kill the Viper and it shows i have a corpse. but there is no research that i can do about Beam Gatling Rifle or other Viper guns

For those who can't get regular viper corses due to these guys spawning in, I recommend doing the Alien Nest mission, tons of free corpses

This still appears in my game, but dose not show up, only an image icon box instead. It use to be ok, but not now. Anyone else having this problem? or fixes for it?

After reading the bug reports, I guess I have too many enemy creatures spawning from a few other mods causing the issue. I have eight different enemy types that will spawn resulting in a low chance of regular vipers spawning...Of well, more fun this way will use console if I need to.

Nice mod, however there is an issue. They appear too soon before I had a chance to research regular viper to get battlefield medicine. Had to add a corpse from the console so I could research it.. thanks.

The game uses the compiled scripts (.u) not the uncompiled ones (.uc), you'd need the SDK to make changes that worked.

so i got a weird one.

i want to use the vorpal blade as a combat knife "from LW2 secondary items".

but when i go to the SRC file and change the xcom vorpal blade weapont cat = combatknife.
it is still a sword and cant be equiped by my knife weilders. only sword weilders.

so how can i change it from sword to knife. so that knife abilities apply to it as well

@Swidzernaiv you'd need psionics ex machina for that, and psi overhaul disables the old psi class for an xcom eu/ew style psi in which any class can roll a psi gift in which they can be trained to also use psi skills

Always liked this enemy, but one thing irks me: if this viper is so heavily armored, why it has insane dodge still? This design makes no sense.

Question for the mod authors: I was poking through the configs a bit to sate some curiosity, and while I see a weapon category defined for the psi gatling rifle, I dont see one for the vorpal blade. I assume I am missing something here - either it was removed, or its not defined the same way? Mostly was seeking out that info so I can tweak what classes can wield what :)

I wonder if someone could add this mods armor to the viper cosmetic options, Torque would look awesome in this gear, side note they're giving me Daedric armor vibe and i love it

This mod doesn't seem to be compatible with psi overhaul (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2134513735) , as Vorpal Gatling Rifle cannot be given to any class with psionic ability. In fact, Psi Op has disappeard so it cannot be equiped.

This isn't my mod. Adjust SpawnWeight values in XComEncounterLists.ini, I tend to set mod-added enemies' values to 80% of the original

@Dragon32 Thanks for this! Love the mod but these things completely phase out regular vipers by the late game and viper corpses are so hard to find.

Regular vipers still spawn, but any given mission has a limited number of enemies at mission start, so each modded enemy can result in less regular ones on a mission.

If you are using this with Musashis RPG Overhaul and want to equip the psi gatling rifle from the armored psi viper corpses to a character you will need to open the XComClassData.ini file and add the following text to the file on new lines.

[UniversalSoldier X2SoldierClassTemplate]

AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="psigatlingrifle")

As much as I love this mod (seriously, great job) I forced to turn it off in my mod list, same issue as @ironboy32 - Viper on the mission just missing, although it targetable (and displays "image" icone) and kills pod's AI, entry in UFO bestiary exists, but same problem - no model. Same no idea thats the reason, but if I make a guess it could be do something with increase pod size (last time I meet Armored Viper - it was part of 5 units group) or just in general game's inability to load it with other mods (320 mods ain't a joke). Again, fricking great mod, shame I cant use

Have a look at Iridar's mods, maybe "Iridar's Weapon Skin Replacer" or one of his other ones should be able to alter that weapon's slots.

If you're making changes to the script files without rebuilding the mod with the SDK that won't have any effect

I would like to modify the Gatling Rifles to have an extra upgrade slot. In my game, I have 3-slot Gatling rifles, and I would like to have a 4th slot. I tried adding appropriate comments to the configs and the script files, but no luck. Any suggestions on where to specifically make the appropriate changes?

I think i've found either a mod error or conflict, when armored vipers spawn they don't show up properly or act at all on alien turns, and their targeting icon is just a .img glitched out image. not sure what is causing it though

I want to say that these two armored vipers are as big a pain in the ass as an Andromedan. And starting in mid-game they will appear more often. Especially if you play Commander mode or higher; I swear to Bob every other reinforcement pod is 2 Armored Sneks and a Psi Snek. I'm glad to see heavy MECs in reinforcements now. Excellent alien mod, 5/5 stars, would fight them again.

There probably isn't a way to tweak their spawn rate, right? I'm literally never getting any normal vipers, and most missions have these armored variants.

This is a masterpiece mod! Seriously. I couldn't imagine the game without it.
