Strange thing happen recently while using this Mod. I built Skuldafn & got a the first dragon. Then right about the time I was ready to buy another, a military City State gave me a dragon. Then when I was going to buy the Third, I see a message that only 3 are allowed. The same City State gave a dragon to another Civ. I should not complain, because once I had a City State give me a dragon and I did not build Skuldafn. Thanks.

I was wrong, the Dragons do get stronger on the attacks as the game goes on. The limit 2 dragons per game total to eliminate the OP. Also I noticed the dragons like to commit what I call the "meta suicide". If your dragon has the embark ability, and you want to go across a single water hex, but you could also fly around on land, the Dragon will always jump in the water when you click the destination hex. Then a range unit or ship will pick it off. Other unit sometimes do this as well. So sometimes you need to make multiple clicks to prevent the unintended water entry.

FUN, FUN, FUN!!! :steamhappy:
Although I have not seen the Dragons get stronger at the game progresses.
But that is a good thing, This way the Dragons are not too OP in the mid to late game..
One shot from a Frigate can take down a Dragon, so fly carefully.

really cool but overpowered for early civs

Hey just a quick update for the embarking dragons they only do that after researching optics and entering your own border or another civ with the open borders agreement. Not sure if happens after declaring war. Also if your dragon is on a water tile and goes into a border your fine as long as you don't cross onto land.

Hey love the mod so far but I'm here to also report I have the bug with the dragons embarking.

It gives you an actual animated beautiful dragon! I was not expecting that. Five stars.

Strange, thought I fixed that! If I have time, I'll try to fix it, thanks

so I've noticed that dragons starts embarking instead of just flying over water tukes after you research optics, I would guess this is a bug.

Their strength increases through a promotion, so their actual strength is only shown when targeting enemies. It's a combat modifier, e.g.+150% combat strength. Can't give you exact numbers right now, but in the future era, they're somewhat weaker than bazookas, but still have more mobility and range, and they're quite cheap at that point.

So how precisely do dragons increase in strength as eras pass? They seem to always have the same base combat strength no matter what techs I research.

Thanks
I had the mod disabled for my latest game while waiting for the update so should not affect current game

Updated. IMPORTANT: If you had version 1 and updated it to version 2, disable and re-enable this mod before loading your saved game or all your units will die!

That’s also going to be fixed, if any civ gets a dragon and doesnt have the wonder, it’s destroyed. I’m not sure how often dragons are gifted, though. I’d say less often or not at all in later eras, but maybe I’m wrong

What are the chances city state might gift a Dragon to a Civ that does not have the Wonder.?
They will quite often gift military units specific to other civs?
Not that I would mind running into a Dragon now and then just so long as they do not get carried away
DJSHenninger  [author] 12 Sep, 2018 @ 1:30pm
That’s okay, I think I have another solution; any dragon you’ll receive from city states will be automatically destroyed if you have more than 3 dragons. Will update soon-ish.

Thanks for quick response
I am not sure about the scouts _ I can not recall ever recieving one as a gift but not sure.

Do you happen to know whether militaristic city-states gift scouts? If I redefine them as scouts, it may solve this problem.

Thanks, will look into that!

Sorry not great at posting sreenshots - top left one

Not a bug - I don't think but interesting
It appears military city state allies will GIFT Dragons and they do not count against your 3 Dragon limit

Not sure if they will gift them to civs that do not have the wonder but I do not see why not.

Aw hell yes! Dragons!
