I have a little trouble.Its performance and number of blocks have changed,but I have no means to change its model size:-(

At the same time, I would like to ask the units of the recoil data (backkick force) of these main guns.Are they kilograms or Newtons?The recoil of some guns is too big for their damage.This makes them difficult to use on lighter chassis.Troubled

And can I see that I can post a rebalanced version of your other main guns, as long as I add you to the contributor?(Although I don’t even know how to release the mod, it’s ridiculous.)

Finally, about what you call "system".Are you convenient to disclose more?Like its final block size,
will it be rebalanced,and more?From my point of view,realistic tank main gun's breech but not as big as 3x3,but it is indeed longer than the model you are using now.

If you do this, as long as you add me as the contributor, I'm perfectly fine with it.

I have a new 'system' in the works that will revamp this weapon, meaning a resize will not be necessary. It would have a 3x3 breech but 1x1 barrel, making it more true to scale.

I may have recently tried to miniaturize this mod and rebalance it.I am not sure when it will be done.I don't even know if I can succeed.After all, I know almost nothing about the programing:-/

But I think I should tell you first.And hope you allow me to do this.(Of course, I hope that you will do this by more experienced ones, which will avoid many problems.)←Just thinking:-)

Imagine that it will have the size of 1X1X15,and the power slightly larger than the M5.If it goes well, maybe you will see some test versions recently?

I think I just figured it out, actually.. I was dragging the icon from the wrong category, the correct version was actually under an unlisted category, not the all blocks one.

That said, of all the weapons I've tested so far, only the 122mm D25T seems to not do much, if any damage, for the rest, they only seem to randomly decide to do no damage to my own spawns, but against pirates etc. still seem to do damage? It's odd, sometimes I can damage my own spawns, other times I can't. Maybe it has to do with me being in a tank at the time (thus on the ground) shooting up in the air at a target I spawned for myself?

I should also clarify that the mouse fire thing doesn't work only when using fixed guns on a non-turreted object, they seem to work fine in the turrets of tanks etc. I'm pretty new to all this so there's a high chance I'm just doing it wrong lol.

When in a fixed emplacement, dragging the gun onto the hotbar gives only a bunch of toggle options, whereas if I drag it onto the bar while in a turreted vehicle, no such list of toggles appears and it works fine, so no idea what's going on there.

I don't know why you wouldn't be able to fire them with your mouse :( Works for me and my friends. Most of my weapons work but the ones that don't are marked with 'Broken' and need to be updated. Projectiles may vanish from voxel collisions as those are buggy for the modded projectiles, meaning a few metres up from the ground a shell may just be eaten. Strange behaviour and I need to talk to Whip about it.

No idea about hits doing no damage. Try deleting the original mod installation in your steam/workshop/content folder and redownloading them?

I figured out how to connect conveyors (i think), but now im wondering how do you bind the firing of these to the mouse? If i try to drag them to the hotbar, I can only fire them by manually clicking the corresponding hotbar button to toggle the gun "on", then I have to toggle it back off or it will just keep shooting.

Additionally, some of the AWG weapons seem to either do no damage to blocks of any kind, or the projectile mysteriously vanishes before hitting a target? It's very odd behavior, and inconsistent as sometimes it will work and do devastating damage, sometimes it will hit and do no damage at all, or sometimes it seems that the gun fires but there is no projectile at all

I'm doing all my testing in creative mode by the way, if that helps.

How exactly does one get this and other AWG weapons to work? I see no obvious conveyor ports, and assigning the weapon to the hotbar doesn't seem to do anything

Thanks! And for other cannons I should note that a component like silicon wouldn’t be needed for most tank shells as a plasticizer wouldn’t be needed in any shell type other than HESH, if you would like you could add some extra materials to compensate for that.

Great, thank you! I'll go and find the component IDs to change up the ammo. For now it'll be the 183 alone but as I update my other guns I can change theirs, or at least the more powerful non-standard cannons.

Good idea King Machine, I'll keep that in mind! I changed the resources to something that high due to a survival me and a friend had centred around a crashed ship, so I based it purely on balancing it around harvesting the ion thrusters from that. So I love your mods and we use them often in our multiplayer server but we have run into an issue with this particular mod. After the volume bug was fixed we were ecstatic to use the 183 on survival until we realized that each shell cost 10 platinum, something that is very expensive, especially on a shell-to-shell basis And is generally just difficult to feed as we shell from afar. I’d like to suggest a more logical and yet balanced crafting recipe. I would suggest using about 30 magnesium powder, 10 as propellant and 20 as part of the warhead, about 25 iron ingots for the shell casing and 15 silicon wafers as a plasticizer for the explosive warhead. I think this crafting recipe would make more sense and still keep the balance of the gun in check.

Perhaps this really isnt meant for survival or maybe its just me getting a bugged download somehow but uh.... the cannon has 17 volume and the shells are at over 100 volume, They just dont fit in the gun. Could you please push out a patch or tell me if its just me with a bugged copy?

After making one round my game crashed. I tryed to see what exactly is happening and found out that as long as i don't open inventory with this ammo my game won't crash and the item has an empty icon. There is also an error from this mod in the log: Critical: Definition of "MyObjectBuilder_AmmoMagazine/183mmShell" is missing. As for the crash part of the log: https://pastebin.com/QAEmzcXC

If you read the picture of the 2A83, or description, you'll notice it is just an enlarged 125mm, with the same stats.

And exactly.The performance balance is very important and troubled for you.But 2A83 152mm have the same damage with 2A46 125mm,it is something......strange?

Maybe you can strengthen 2A83‘s damage,extend the loading time and increase the recoil to balance it.Or simply make it be same to the BL-10?But 2A83 have the similar recoil distance with 2A46 in reality,really difficult to balance:/

I'm not sure how to fix the red dot issue, and my guns have a 'category' system of which they fit into to make it easier to properly balance each gun. It would be too much work to balance them all around the others, lest some become direct upgrades, making the others useless.

It's just something you'll have to live with :/

Rheinmetall 120mm......sounds good.But do you have a plan to make differentiation about "L11A5 120mm" and Soviet Smoothbore gun (2A46 125mm and 2A83 152mm),now they have exactly the same damage.And I found some guns failed to display correctly they "red dot" such as 2A46,can you make they work properly?

M5 is a very impressive HE cannon,but it's looks to small and the bullet drop make it inconvenient to long range shooting.Even it is powerful enough in the close range.

BL-10, a incredible AP cannon,Even if I am seeking a long range HE cannon .Regrettably,the Cross section size(2x2) make it can not be centered.

Speaking of here,I hope that you can understand I am still love to use your excellent mods.My comments just base on my paranoia.If my comments made you be unhappy,I will apologize.

Maybe you can consider making a 1x1 long range HE cannon in the future?If you do this,I will still waiting:-)

Why would I make an already well used block that's in multiple designs smaller, breaking all of them purely because you don't want to build bigger? :P If you need a high power gun that's smaller scale go for the BL-10 or M5.
