I am now using the follow Terrain version exclusively.
Please investigate the compatibility with MOD by yourself.
This game records 18km*18km of map in a 1081*1081 pixels image. This means that one pixel will receive an area of about 16m*16m. As you know, the game depicts a very smooth terrain. This is because the terrain engine smoothly connects the heights between the pixels.
I think that there is a bug hidden in that terrain engine, maybe.
I'm aware that some maps do that case.
However, it's hard to reproduce in my environment. I hadn't come across that phenomenon recently, so I thought the bug had been fixed.
I think this is a bug in the game itself. Because I only used what was provided in the game and didn't do anything special.
I know how to get around with that bug.
The first way is to elevate the part of path where the hole will be made.
Another way is to change one of the property settings in the asset. But I don't want to update to this bug-avoidance version because it could change the shape of the path on the ground.
So, I'm releasing this as a separate asset. Please wait a few days, Andy463.
Sadly, when it made too many of my cities unplayable, I had no choice but to unsub. If I knew what caused this anomaly and could fix it, I would re-subscribe.
However, I have subscribed to the improved version so all is not lost (but I do prefer the look of this one).
With pedestrians on both sides, 4 lanes are needed. It's very difficult to get four lanes on the narrow pavement path (especially the slope to the tunnel).
So, it came to this form.
It is a mistery. You must have added some nice touch to it ;)
There is nothing secret about it.
Speed Limit is set to Lane, and it is used to calculate route selection.
The vanilla paved path has a Speed Limit of 0.4 on the ground, 0.5 on the elevated, and 1 on the bicycle path.
For this asset, pedestrians are assigned a Speed Limit of 0.4, and bicycles are assigned 0.7.
Placing this asset side-by-side with the vanilla elevated pedestrian path and bicycle path will use the more vanilla route. Meybe...
I want to provide useful assets. But, I do not want to make it a cheat item that breaks the game balance. So I set Speed Limit not to exceed Vanilla.
If there is still something attractive, it is a mystery.???
Tell us :) What's the secret of it besides nice markings ;)
I learned about "pedestrian and bicycle path" for the first time in your comment.
When I made what I wanted, it became similar.
I have never used "pedestrian and bicycle path", so I do not know the detailed difference.
By analogy with the screenshots, it is probably a difference in the composition of lanes.
I was thinking mainly of pedestrians and made it with the feeling that the bicycle is borrowing the edge. It is more prominent in the improved version.
Your improved version looked interesting also. Mainly found out about it thanks to Sam Bur. And I have the path mod I listed here which I've found not that good. (Haven't used it alot)
Thank you for the screenshot.
I used this bike line from the default prop. This prop may be restricted not to be displayed on the snow map.
I'll look it up when I can get the time.
If interested, the same problem, on the winter maps, is still only with the id=920222783.
But do not worry! On the winter maps I build very rarely. I will take this error as a oddity.
Successes!
Try re-subscribing as it is a message that there is no data locally.
This message indicates that the asset in the Map data does not exist in the local game.
To solve this problem, we must make this asset available.
That is, introducing DLC "After Dark" and subscribing to this asset.
