Thanks! Ofcourse you can :)
Anywya, ignore me, just a fan of your recent work, Nova, Thanatos, Turtleback, Hound, Hive, etc. Thanks for sharing them with us, I've added them all to my collection and I look forward to more in the future. :)
TBH I'm not very good at designing combat CV's (and I don't really use them in survival), but I did make one a while back - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=936920904 but I've not updated it since alpha 6 (probably still works fine though).
Also, big CV's take ages, and ages for me to design and build. I amy do in the future if I get enough time :)
If you want some tips on design, I highly recommend reading something Pyston posted in the comments section of one of his designs ( here ). What he says is absolutely true. I have a Pinterest account where I search around for design ideas I like and I study other people's designs in detail to get inspiration for my own - Pyston's work is excellent for this, as everything is so heavily detailed. It's all about the detail! Play around with stuff and be brutally honest with yourself - if you don't like what you've built, don't be afraid to rip it down and start again.
On a sidenote: even when the hull is fully upgraded to hardened steel, it still performs and turns really well. Would say thats another point that speaks for a good design, that it is even more upgradeable than you may have imagined.
Thirdly; I simply like the (optional) look and ease of having a constantly open hangar door and deployed ramp when the ship is landed!
At the end of the day, I decided to do this because it suits my own playstyle. In an ideal world, It'd be great if you could get the sensors to trigger based on what object is in its proximity. So for example, only the hangar doors open if an SV is in proximity, but the hangar doors and the ramps deploy if an HV is in range. Perhaps if a player on foot is nearby, neither of them deploy.
Firstly; if you're flying an SV into / out of the hangar, you don't need the ramp, and I felt it looked silly having a ramp deploy when loading / unloading SV's - especially if the CV isn't grounded.
Secondly; I found that the ramp deploying based on player proximity (when on foot) to the ship annoying - If you walk round the back, the ramp deploys, which can get in the way of where you're walking. I could walk round it, out of the sensor range, but then when I want to load an HV, I have to get really close to trigger the ramp, which causes minor issues with it hitting my HV and me having to wait for it to deploy.
...
Thanks for the positive feedback :)

Only change I made was cannon turrets out of personal preference.
Have downloaded loads of your designs recently and am in awe of them! Really fantastic work!
Thanks! Indeed I've thought a lot about Core placement. However I can't find anywhere else I want to put it. Besides, I've moved it back a bit and added some more steel blocks around it, so it should now be better protected. The two new turrets should provide better protection for it too.
In any event, this is not a combat vessel, so core placement shouldn't be too much of an issue.
@SullyEnza:
Thanks! Hell yeah!
@Everyone else:
Thanks for your kind comments :)
