If you could fix this it would be 5 stars.
It's weird and i wished it to be fixed, it's not asthetically pleasing at all.
It's utilizing layered animations so that the animation can be longer than the reload sequence itself. There are animations reload and reload_layer, the layer animation being longer.
This is what Mr Funreal told me about animation layering when I inquired.
As Twilight Sparkle's ported Insurgency M4/M16/Mk.18 animations lack this feature the reload sequence becomes longer.
Even worse is that if the animation for that mod WOULD have layering the animation sequence would be in perfect synch with the default reload length.
Most of weapon mods and vanilla L4D2 weapons have the problem that the reload animations finish the reload before the weapon is loaded. Making it so that you can't rely on the animation and the reload sound to tell when the weapon is ready to be switched or fired again.

As for the slides, I wanted to somewhat replicate these "steel-like" looks featured on this Glock 23 [i.imgur.com] to provide more uniqueness rather than the boring looks of a full black Glock such as the one featured in my Glock 17 mod. But hey, that's just my preference.
