I really like the concept of this class. I particularly liked the idea of Chain pull, seems very fun and useful without being overpowered. Upon trying out however against the first group of void grubs act 2 the description "Pull characters within 9m towards you by 3m and do physical damage." appears incorrect. It instead simply grabs every enemy within 9m and drags them directly to you in a giant clipping pile of enemies, a 9M drag not 3M as listed. The guy i was testing with had 12 strength. tested again with humans further up same.

i did a character respec and even though i can still use Sundering Smash, level up weapon is gone for some reason!
shendi 15 mei 2023 om 20:54
could a special skill similar to level up weapons/armors be added that did the same but for rings and necklaces?
Haymaker 4 feb 2023 om 13:05
Into the fray is bugged since it dmges allies.
jin2000_ren 1 aug 2022 om 4:24
By the way, when I transfer to blacksmith from blacksmith(is there anything wrong?no,there isn't),my bless skill lost:(
jin2000_ren 1 aug 2022 om 3:50
Hello! When I chose blacksmith, the Smithy Sharpnel is sway twice per second.I don't know why.
helaene  [auteur] 21 jul 2022 om 19:14
Hello all - in many cases you'll find that skills scale based on the weapon you carry. I'd be interested to hear if you saw some scaling by intelligence but were not using an intelligence-based weapon. Unfortunately the class 'reset' is just that - it acts as the original character selection does. You don't need to leverage this feature at all though - merely buy the books and learn as you go. I hope that helps!

@R0ust! and @Helaene

Hi,
i am also a littel confused about the Intellect instead of Strenght scaling. What is up with that?

Cheers

(Great Mod tho!)

whether it is necessary to approach the blacksmith in the fort of joy in order to become a blacksmith. I selected the blacksmith class on the character screen. At level 5, I approached this gentleman and saw that he was offering to become a blacksmith, as a result, having lived through the dialogue, I lost all the skills I had bought before and he stole my armor. Is it possible not to do this and not lose class mechanics?

@the man,
"I see this as an absolute win"
legs 5 jan 2022 om 8:30
"Into the Fray" affects allies, also. Both the damage and knockdown.
R0ust! 3 dec 2021 om 14:46
Hi Helaene,

Trying some of your creations, I have been attracted by the Blacksmith.

It seems to be pretty cool. But I have a question, is it normal in the description of skills it is said that they scale with Intellect instead of Strenght?

Best regards,

Rousti

I may be mistaken, but it seems like the scalling is a little weird, my skill says i should be doing 100-ish dmg but im hitting for 40-50.
@Helaene
MustDy 17 sep 2021 om 7:08
@Helaene,
This skillset does need a skill which allows to throw an anvil on enemy's head!

Anyway, beautiful work.
Sparktite 2 aug 2021 om 1:43
Okay cool i wanted to be sure i understood. Thanks for putting up with me <3
Pokemastuh 29 jul 2021 om 17:08
@sparktite It sets your weapon to YOUR level. If your weapon is already at your level it won't do anything but if you level up and a weapon you prefer to use starts lagging behind you can use that to bring it up to your level. If you're always swapping out for weapons that are already at your level then it does nothing.
Sparktite 29 jul 2021 om 14:44
Thats what i mean i dont understand the point of setting my weapon to the same level it already is. I always keep my weapons at my level, so by using the skill is it not just setting it to the same level it already is? Or am i still missing something?
AarkNoa 29 jul 2021 om 7:43
@Sparktite It sets the equipments level to your current level not the equipments current level
Sparktite 20 jul 2021 om 19:20
So whats the point of upgrade weapon and upgrade armor? Sets to the same level as it already is? Whats the point of not changing the level of an item in the form of a skill?
AarkNoa 15 mei 2021 om 5:20
'Craft Weapons' is very easy to use. First you have to pick Blacksmith as your starting class, otherwise it won't work at all. Then by usage of 'Sundering Smash' or 'Staggering Blow' you inflict 'Fractured Armor' status on an enemy. This debuff lasts for two turns and can be stacked three times into 'Shattered Armor'. Whenever you inflict 'Shattered Armor' on an enemy you get the permanent buff 'Inspiration'. After accumulating Inspiration three times you will automatically be granted the skill 'Craft Weapon'. Use and done. The skill will disappear after usage. Repeat the process to gain more Inspiration and use the skill again.

I hope this helps to solve your questions <3
Algautr 15 apr 2021 om 14:35
Can we please have a guide how to utilize "Craft Weapon", I do not understand at all how it's supposed to work.
Greasy 26 mrt 2021 om 15:52
Doesn't seem like you get the upgrade weapons or gear skills when you ask to change profession or apprentice as a blacksmith. Basically have to create a new game to do it from what i've seen...
Jägermeister 16 mrt 2021 om 14:40
The chainpull skill doesnt seem to work as intended. It pulls every enemy in 9m range right to the caster instead of 3m only. I think thats really cool but its op.
Cat Pondering At Yarn (mogging) 3 mrt 2021 om 22:22
So how exactly does crafting work? I understand but whats the boundaries of how good a weapon can be.
Ray 9 jan 2021 om 8:44
@Kap, you're going to need to download Helaene's shared library. Prior to the update The icons in this mod would be visible without it, after the update they are not. It's an annoying extra step if you haven't been using libraries so far but it's important to minimize the chances of a particular bug that can occur when using multiple class mods.
Ray 9 jan 2021 om 8:37
Thanks for the update Helaene!
Карнавал 8 jan 2021 om 11:53
after the update, the icons turned into a question mark, what should I do?
AarkNoa 6 jan 2021 om 5:06
Been using this mod for over a year now and loving it
But if I may, why do the skills deal physical dmg instead of just weapon dmg? This question has been bugging me for a while
Mikkeal 15 sep 2020 om 2:52
I have them back now at lvl 18, lost around ~13. I did learn Sundering Smash at somepoint so I think that did fix it.
Taking warfare to 0 didn't seem to be the issue (using shapeshifing mod werewolf race which drops warfare -30 temporarily) so that was going below 0 from the start of the game. Resetting at the blacksmith didn't fix it also.
helaene  [auteur] 14 sep 2020 om 17:39
If you have memorized Sundering Smash, the next time you level up, you should get them - let me know if not.
MasterBlueWolf 14 sep 2020 om 16:35
I think it happens when you take warfare to 0, you can get it back talking to the blacksmith again but you will loose all the skills you have learn and all your inventory, so if you are going to do it, put all in a box or another character
Mikkeal 7 sep 2020 om 15:04
I've lost the innate level up skills, anyway to get them back? I don't think I have a save before it happened
IkaSensei 29 aug 2020 om 8:37
If you browse the skills in the Character Creation screen, they all claim to scale with Int as if you were wielding a staff. Minor bug.
MasterBlueWolf 11 aug 2020 om 11:24
All the skills are out of place and disorganize in the skill book. some show a different logo than what it is. you have to put it in your bar to actually see what skill it is
Knamliss 26 jul 2020 om 14:42
Does Torturer affect the Fracture armor debuffs?
DeLobo "A True Soul" 26 jul 2020 om 5:32
Im not so sure if it is a bug but Im curretly at level 7 with a warrior and I wanted to give him some utility so I bought him some blacksmith skills, but it seems like since I did not buy sundering smash before level 6 my warrior could not learn level up weapons. Is there any way to fix this or is it intended?.
Doc 3 jun 2020 om 0:51
THIS IS THE BEST CLASS MOD BY FAR, EVEN IF U DON'T PLAY WARFARE, U DEFINITLY SHOULD TRY THIS ONE!!!
Welp 5 mei 2020 om 16:26
Great mod Helaene!!! im curious though, you made it so close to a Paladin i wonder why you just didnt call it a paladin?
Wut Wut 27 apr 2020 om 22:38
I'm a software engineer, so I guess it's part of my job! I noticed similar tooltip scaling vs damage issues in Rubber Mallet and Shining Spear from the Valkyrie class.
soop 27 apr 2020 om 17:37
Thanks! Great info :D
helaene  [auteur] 27 apr 2020 om 17:34
@afr0 you certainly can. The easiest way is to reset each companion's class using my shared trader (details in the shared services mod). I suggest doing this as early as possible in your game, as resetting sometimes clears the character's inventory, and obviously resets all known skills and equipment according to the class you select.
soop 27 apr 2020 om 17:29
Thanks for your reply, but I wanted to clarify my question. Can I have, for example, a team of all of your classes? (i.e. A team composed of a Blacksmith, Wyldfae, Priest, and Valk?)
helaene  [auteur] 27 apr 2020 om 17:26
@afr0 - you can buy Blacksmith skillbooks throughout the game but there is no available companion with this preset.

@Barn on a Hill - are you a real-life QA tester? Thanks for the detail - I'll definitely look into it! ;)
Wut Wut 27 apr 2020 om 14:24
I love all the classes, but I would like to report what I think is a bug: I'm a level 10 on lone wolf with a 1h axe and a shield, my strength is 34, weapon damage is 24-28, and damage is 84-98. The tooltips for Sundering Smash and Glamour from the Succubus class both say they do 131-152 damage, but in reality they do 84-98, the range of my base damage. There may be other skills affected, I haven't tested them all. The Vampire and Valkyrie trees seem to be accurate in their tooltips with a strength weapon. I think it's fine if the skills are only supposed to do base damage for balancing sake, but if the tooltips could be fixed it would be great!
soop 19 apr 2020 om 1:30
Is this only a starter class, or can I pickup a blacksmith companion later in the game?
shicoshico 9 apr 2020 om 22:37
@Pokemastuh thank you
Pokemastuh 8 apr 2020 om 18:18
@wesame. You need three stacks of inspiration. Have fun.
shicoshico 8 apr 2020 om 15:02
After getting inspired, there is no craft weapon spell showing up on my hotbar. Did anyone have this issue and was it resolved?
kwistoph 15 mrt 2020 om 9:37
if you dont start with this class are you not able to learn the craft weapon, upgrade weapon/armor abilities?
KittyKatKatia 12 mrt 2020 om 21:10
To everyone having issues with INSPIRATION LEVEL 2, Re-read what she wrote. You have to SHATTER ARMOR, Three times. This means 3 enemies that you apply 3 stacks of fractured armor too. The idea is it makes it so you just cant spam it. @Halaene it may help people to add clarification to the post!

This is an awsome mod tons of great work, very inspiring! Makes me want to look into making one myself.
