Also, might want to tone down the firerate overall. There seems to be issues with hit-registering with high-firerate weapons. The XM8 and the M16 has the same DPS but the M16 kills way faster.

Howdy. Thanks for the great mod! Any prospects of adding a higher level variant of the M416? Also, the XM8 and the XM8C seems to have swapped stats, since I'm near certain the XM8C was supposed to fire faster.

I can't adjust the damage per SHOT; I can only adjust the damage per SECOND (Starbound calculates the damage per shot based on the number provided for both the DPS and the number for the firing speed). But I just checked, the classic M95 actually does 93.5 damage per shot. The difference honestly isn't that noticeable, and the enhanced endgame one does even more damage than that.

In addition, I was asked by a friend who was observing me play to ask if you could adjust the M95 damage output to do 95 damage per shot. Because M95 doing 95 damage seemed the best to them. -_-

When i get to higher level planets, it can be a bit underpowered. But I have the Weapon Reinforcer mod, so I hopped it up a bit. But no matter what i love the sound.

I waited for months to get shotguns from Lyetzi. But your mod has a sexy-sounding SPAS12. Which is worth more than custom animations to me.

I consider Lyetzi's to be a bit better than BCA on the grounds that it has custom weapon animations and a custom vendor (neither of which I've figured out nor have the strong drive to figure out), but I'm proud of my work and it would seem quite a few others are too.

Also Lyetzi doesn't have shotguns. And this mod does. Makes it better than Lyetzi's.

I'm not going to make my mod dependent on somebody else's, not to mention how I'd probably need permission. And, if it gets updated, I might have to adapt my mod to be compatible with that one. But it's irrelevant because I won't do it.

Lyetzi's is a good mod but I want to make my own.

@SilverDrake17 I don't have too many mods on partly because I haven't bothered to look for ne ones, but I'll have to give that a look. What Discord server are you speaking of, by the way? I have no issues with making guns but I do want to learn how to make a custom vendor/crafting station at some point. That'd be a 2.0 release of BCA if I ever did that.

And I'm glad you love the SPAS12 sound. Definitely one of my favorites in the class of shotguns, behind the SPAS15 and 870MCS.

I don't know how many Starbound mods you have, but have you heard of the US.E. (United Systems Expansion) mod? I would highly recommend if you enjoy militarized Starbound.
Also, if you have Discord, you might wanna join the server. We have a good time, but the guys there are pretty good at Starbound modding. If you need help with making military-grade guns, I would highly recommend it! :)

Oh my god yes.
That SPAS12 is just amazing sounding now. Soooo good!! I will run around firing the gun just to listen to it.
The snipers sound excellent as well.
I agree that the full auto rifles do have clipped sound, but I understand the reasoning there.

Glad to hear it. Unfortunately it seems I missed only one gun, the QJY88, but I'll deal with that in a future patch. I'm going through the rest of the guns to double-check that everything sounds okay.

Patch 1.3.0 is out and it amplifies the audio of all 30 weapons. Try them out and let me know what you think.

@Orca Mayo™ - I had to cut them out at the end because the faster firing guns would get VERY loud due to audio hangups because of the sound of audio fadeouts being overlapping.

ah, and i also noticed that the firing sounds are kinda choppy at the end (it cuts out at the end, no echo)

@Orca Mayo™ - @SilverDrake17 pointed that out and I'm minutes away from releasing a patch that greatly amplifies the firing sounds, and I had to take off the GL functionality because it was causing an error with the sprites. Trust me, I didn't want to remove accessory functionality but it was causing problems.

The weapons are quiet, incredibly quiet and the guns with grenade launchers dont have secondary functions to use the grenade launchers

Well rest assured, I'm tuning up the sounds of all 30 weapons, setting them to levels akin to the other vanilla weapons.

I just made and tested all the weapons. The weapons that you amplified are a wee bit louder than the others, but I still need to stick my head almost into my speakers to hear them.
I don't know how they are so loud for you. I am comparing them to vanilla guns, guns from other mods (including FU), and they are just super quiet.

@SilverDrake17 - I amplified the sounds of the AEK971, AUG, M24, SV98 and GOL in the most recent patch; you aren't able to hear those?

On my end the weapons are all rather loud, but I can tune them up more if it's too quiet. My Starbound volume (from my PC's volume mixer is at 50% and they're still pretty loud).

I'll have to spawn in some vanilla game weapons and compare their sounds to mine.

Alright I built all of the guns that only require gold bars. All of them are super quiet compared to any other weapon or item in the game. The gunshots are very difficult to hear, with the reload sounds being slightly easier, but that's not saying much.

I love the look of the weapons, I like how they work (although I miss the secondary attacks), and I like what I hear when I can hear it.
