I agree with Kong, unfortunately, in 1.3 it won't explode, when you hit detonate it'll just sit there fizzing, which makes it difficult to deconstruct due to it resetting every second when it checks to explode, but fails

I really, REALLY want to see this Mod updated for V1.3 . Please consider doing so if you can. I can't play "Rimworld" without this Mod.

The ideology expansion will be out on 20/07,and the game version is 1.3 will this mod be updated for that :)? As i will be starting a new game when ideology is out.

Installed it in a pre-existing 1.2 save and it thankfully works fine. You have to research it and then build it in the "Misc" section of the architect tab. 100 steel and 1 component.

I think what Sarianos is asking is for folks who have mods like Thick Roof Miner or other mod that makes it so the thick rock roofs will actually collapse without support like thin/constructed roofs. Like instead of the bomb removing the thick roof, have it trigger the collapse event as if the affected tiles didn't have support.

The current bomb completely removes a tile of overhead mountain, what I'm suggesting is a variant of the bomb that only triggers a roof collapse on that tile instead, just like how if you mine out too large of a space and knock out the support pillars it will trigger a roof collapse event.

@Genereaux14 Because being able to place a farm or wind turbine wherever you want in the middle of your mountain is already game breakingly OP, for what it achieves the price is right on.

It doesn't blow up enough tiles. It barely does anything!! Am i seriously going to have to build like 30 of these things just to clear an area. Each of them costs 100 steel and 1 component. It should just be like 1 steel. Why make it so inconvenient?

I send one colonis for testing purpose melee attacking it and after a couple hits it ignites and killed my colonist. Roof was also gone, but it seems to be a bit buggy (even the menu for build copy" and so on is missing for me)

I managed to increase the radius of the explosion by changing this value: <size>(1,1)</size> in the file named "Misc_ShapedCharge.xml".

The radius of the explosion is size of the bomb + 1 tile so increasing the size also increases the radius. It's a shitty workaround but it works.

The value for the actual radius of the explosion (<explosiveRadius>1.9</explosiveRadius>) does nothing weirdly enough.

Please beware that I'm not a modder or anything and I have no idea WTF I'm doing so edit the file at your own risk.

What? Anyway, is there some reason the bombs are so expensive? An electrical switch seems like a more fair model. 100 steel and 1 component = stress barf. I can make components now but.. I wish the bombs were a little cheaper.

@dariooo512 Hey, thanks so much for this. I have a tiny colony of 4 mega-cyborgs and I've been lamenting that they stand no chance against all that I've seen of these... infestations.

Your mod will enable me to get all the roofs hollowed out, proceed with my late game, then suffer a devastating smack from fate when the single remaining tile, missed in the depths of time, spawns an obliterating horde to contrast with my light chuckling at the raider onslaught splashing against my defenses.

Also thanks for making it something that blows up - its a "story generator" and explosive mining tools fit in somewhere under the 4th floor... No good? :D Anyway, cheers!

Nice i finally found what i need.
Guys, am i right to assume the following:
When Mountain Roof is removed, there are no tiles in the mountain which get counted as Caves ... thus: no Infestations, no Hives and no Bugs.
(From all i know they only can spawn when at least 50 Mountainroofed tiles are present.)
Is this my safe haven?
