Hey all, this mod has been updated. Was meant to a few days ago as of this post but forgot to press the update button flips sake

Just to warn you all that I do not recommend using this with the RH2 version, all hairs are still intended to return to the HD version someday, just that I've been extremely busy guys

Anyway, to whoever still enjoys this mod I hope you have fun with this 1.4 update, cheerio

Why were the comments disabled?
I own multiple mods, a new version of RimWorld comes out while I'm working a physically and mentally demanding job.

Important points:
- 512x512 res, HD textures
- Beards are now separated for 1.3 for the new vanilla feature
- More hairstyles in the new version
- Some hairstyles have been removed, many will return but some will not
- RH2 tags removed for the hair labels to blend the hairstyles with vanilla ones better

What's gonna happen with the RH1 mods?
I don't have plans on updating them for 1.3 because it's a lot of work and I'm working on a remastered version of the mods. I honestly don't have the time to maintain both versions.

If only we had a way to change hairstyles within the game. We can build a spaceship, but can't do a god damn haircut!!!

@Dizzy Barber table won't allow hairs with more than 16 characters in their name. Edit the XML and texture paths in the folder to fix compatibility yourself. It's easy.

@Dizzy Ioeuy - Hello again. I'd like to make a proper apology. You're right, I was being a jerk and I was wrong in how I responded to you. I am very sorry for having acted this way.

My only wish for you is that you take care and that I hope our last interaction isn't as terrible now because of what I've done. You didn't do anything wrong, and I understand now it's frustrating to spend countless hours fixing things that you aren't responsible for. All the best.

I didn't say fix it, calm down. And it isn't about which is popular:

I just simply documented the incompatibility. This way others can make informed choices as to which mod they want and understand why an unexpected hard to track down conflict is happening.

I'm not uncomfortable. Keep your hair mod as is.

After spending two hours isolating it, and seeing your defensiveness, I can happily say:

@Dizzy Ioeuy - It does matter. I have to fix my working mod, that has never conflicted with another hair mod before, to make it work with one that has conflicted with other mods. Why? cause it's more popular.

I'm getting the bad rep. We end up having uncomfortable back and forths like this, and now I have to adapt my mod so the other one doesn't break it. I spoke to him in PM now and he's told me how to fix it. I apologise we have to have this discussion, it doesn't make me happy either.

well whoever wants the blame doesn't matter. The PSA is if people have your mod and his, his mod fails to function. and it'll help them to know that this mod for sure is one that doesn't function together with it.

This will help some people stop pulling their hair out searching out what is wrong, as no load game red flags are thrown, only an ingame runtime error that disallows window access.

@Dizzy Ioeuy - That's cool, But I know how my mod works. I know how .xml works, as hard as it is to believe that. I stand by what I said. He's had to patch his mod for the other hair mods, those other authors never had to fix their mods for VHE. Rimsenal works now? Well it wasn't before.

I came to Oskar and he knew it was his mod, I private messaged him in Discord and he told me he'll "try" to fix it. He told me that about 2 months ago. Well he hasn't fixed it, and I'm here with A LOT on my plate, with my own problems.

I'm not gonna chase ghosts and do his job for him.

Um... I have 9 other mods loaded for hair. None of them conflict in the way yours did with their barber shop.

Running Rimsenal hairs fine.

I add yours in- their menu ceases functioning. I take it out. All is well again.

Sorry, but I pulled it in and out 3 times before coming here.

@Dizzy Ioeuy - Other way around, vanilla hair expanded conflicts with my mod and other hair mods because of that barber station. Oskar already knows.

My mod contains simple .xml and can't possibly cause C# related conflicts. VHE has been reported to conflict with Rimsenal hairs, another mod that only contains .xml coding.

In fact updating this mod just needed me to change the About.xml because it didn't need much change in coding from 1.0. It doesn't have complex coding like VHE to cause issues.

This mod conflicts with vanilla hair expanded barber shop and kills its beard menu completely. Just spent about an hour and a half isolating this amongst my 1.1 mods.

@Centurion XIV - Hello, my apologies for my very late reply. I have added a few new hairstyles, "Delta" is very close to Finan's however in Sihtric's case it's harder to do fine moustaches and beards that are little in detail since the game compresses textures and ruins how it looks in-game.

I may do a closer hairstyle later but I make no promises, it's not exactly as you requested but I hope it's satisfied your desire for bushier beards for now

If you are still taking suggestions, might I suggest something like the hairstyle that the characters Finan and Sihtric have in The Last Kingdom season 3? I like how the sides are shaved kinda midway down and it seems like a simple male hairstyle that would fit medieval and modern scenarios.
Regardless, love the mod and keep up the great work!

Hello all back from a long Hiatus.

- Dad 2 (CSGO Hairstyles from Elite Crew)

And 3 suggested below
- Stone Cold (Shaved head and Goatee, rather than naming it "Prophet"
- Faith (Mirror's Edge)
- Geralt (From the famous Minecraft series)

@Colborn - It's because of the MSF faction release. The mod is dependent on this one's hairtags, and unfortunately I had to do it in order to make it so that the Big Boss and Miller hairstyles spawned more commonly for their leader pawntypes. More male hair types coming, but I do apologise for the issue

I am so annoyed at myself for not knowing what some of the refs are that its gonna end up making me cry. On another note, looking through your collection, I actually LOVE most of these mods and now I gotta hope that they work out well with my other mods and actually let me add them to existing saves

@Stantboard - Yes, if you go to Rimworld discord there is a pinned message in the art channel with all the 1.0 textures which you can then use for screenshots or references when making outfits or hairstyles

As for animation, thats a long story. It involves after effects, which I'll explain later if you talk to me in Discord

Hello, im wondering how did you do all the screenshots and the gifs, how did you got the charachters to make all of those poses, did you got all of the body,head,weapon textures separetly and merged them to look like the game?

@Meat Baton - Absolutely, that was the idea during the time I was making these.

Use Prepare Carefully, have this mod enabled with Rimmu-Nation Clothing and optionally Detailed Body Textures II. There you can customize your pawns, I tried to make their outfit names as obvious as they could be for the character so you won't have trouble mixing and matching.

Along with this, I did things like changing backstories, traits and age stuff based on how they behave in their games/films or based on their wiki. Makes the game a lot more amusing when you can use characters from your favourite games or films

@RadGH - No worries, it was a good shout and the layers for the beards were ready anyway. I just hope there's no issues or errors that will show up and need patching

The artwork in this mod is absolutely fantastic! My only gripe is when paired with Facial Stuff (and why wouldn't you?!) the hairstyles with a beard can also add a FS beard/mustache on top of them. It sounds like FS disables the beard/mustache itself, for some mods. Any chance of having a facial stuff version of this mod that makes the beards separate from the hairstyles that can appear with other hairstyles? That would be amazing.

@Wrecker013 - I make the animations using the Rimworld stuff, SFM and some After Effects. Thank you, that's what I try to do when I feel like putting some kind of backstory to the mods which I wanted to do for a lot of the factions
