I'm getting a bit of a brainfart - how do I enable "opening any Architect subtab with 1 keystroke"?

I've assigned Caps to the "Orders" subtab. I press Caps - nothing happens. I still need to hit Tab to open "Architect", then hit Caps to open "Orders" (so 2 keystrokes).

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance :)

Is there any way to hotkey guys when they are drafted. Like hotkey all my snipers and then another hotkey for assault weapons guys? Thanks!

Seeing as the mod's been abandoned, can anyone recommend a good replacement? I hate not being able to get to Architect submenus without keyboard.

Does this mod not work anymore? The game says it is outdated, and I can't seem to make it work.

Bug for 1.3, Some names for buildings are missing. Pls fix cause this is my utmost favourite mod

@Aziz: Achtung! adds a Force task command that will make pawns work a task and any similar tasks in a certain radius. For example, if I lay out instructions to build a square room and force a pawn to start building it, the pawn will build the section I clicked and every adjacent section until it runs out of adjacent build tasks. If this room also had some furniture, as long as it's adjacent to one of the edges, the pawn will build that too. If the tasks are spread out, you can increase the range pawns will look for new tasks.

Is there a mod that give me the ability to give my colonist an order to build or farm many things with one click
So instead of ordering them to build on every wall by clicking on it, I just can order them to build the whole room

Where can I find (show detailed information) hotkey? And haw to get this menu to show up (like screenshot) ?
NeverSink 5 Aug, 2021 @ 12:38am
Thank you both so much :)

when assigning a direct hotkey, is it possible to ensure the contextual menu pops up? for instance, i have expand allowed areas to a direct hotkey, at first when i would use the direct key the menu to choose which area would pop up, now it just goes to whatever i used last, and i didn't change any settings, not sure how to fix it.

@NeverSink I have reuploaded this mod with 1.3 support.

As soon as @Aze updates his mod I will take my reupload offline.
Aze  [author] 21 Jul, 2021 @ 7:07am
@NeverSink: I do plan to update this (and hopefully fix some issues), but there might be a bit of a delay. I need a free day to focus on it, and I’m currently pretty busy.
NeverSink 20 Jul, 2021 @ 12:23pm
Hey, I really enjoyed this mod during 1.2 and I think it was a huge improval to general gameplay. Do you plan updating this to 1.3? I absolutely understand, if you don't have the time anymore, but I sure hope, it's in the cards :)

architect hotkeys will not work for me. the other funcitons working fine. I do not have architect icons, any suggestion?
ELLIOTTCABLE on Discord 4 Jul, 2021 @ 6:44pm
This may be out-of-scope; but is there any chance you could add configurable hotkeys for the overlays in the bottom-right?

My absolute kingdom, I would give, to frickin' bind "show/hide roofs" and "show/hide planning designations" to hotkeys. O_O
Aze  [author] 6 Feb, 2021 @ 7:24am
@Raskaran: Ah. That sounds like a bug, I’ll look into it.
Raskaran 5 Feb, 2021 @ 11:13pm
@Aze You can't stand in front NPD and keep 'R' pressed to produce paste en masse. With Hotkeys active there is no key repetition. Just single key presses.
Aze  [author] 5 Feb, 2021 @ 10:14pm
@Raskaran: What?
Raskaran 5 Feb, 2021 @ 8:26pm
With Hotkeys You can't squeeze any more cheese from nutrient paste dispenser.
Not really a bug but I love RimCheese.
To2mo 12 Jan, 2021 @ 4:38pm
@Aze
Ah no problem, I might have to look into making a mod that does that myself, as there doesn't seem to be any existing mods for it.

Thanks for the swift response though!
Aze  [author] 12 Jan, 2021 @ 4:03pm
@To2mo: No, that's not possible with this mod. It likely wouldn't be too difficult, but since I don't play Rimworld anymore, I'm not expanding the mod further.
To2mo 12 Jan, 2021 @ 9:50am
Is there any way to use this mod to set a hotkey for the "view information" (the 'i') button when selecting a pawn or item etc.?
I tried using the Gizmo keybind and it works fine for the commands located in architect menu, but it doesn't seem to work for the 'i' button.

Would this be a difficult thing to implement? I searched around a bit but couldn't seem to find any other mods for changing hotkeys, and nothing for keybinding the 'i' button.
era 2 Jan, 2021 @ 2:58pm
Great to hear, thanks a lot!
Aze  [author] 2 Jan, 2021 @ 2:00pm
@era: This should now be fixed, along with some other 1.2 compatibility issues.
era 30 Dec, 2020 @ 3:32pm
Yeah, don't know much about Rimworld modding, so can't help too much. I assume there might be a way of detecting that mod and maybe adding this mod's options to the same pop-up menu? That's where the incompatibility lies. Good luck, and appreciate you looking into it! Allow Tools is quite a popular mod, so it'll definitely be a good change if at all possible.
Aze  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 3:15pm
@era: My guess is the git version was pushed to the workshop at some point and now this is being an issue again. I'm not sure what the root cause of the issue is and if compatibility will be feasible, but I'll try to look at it sometime this weekend.
era 30 Dec, 2020 @ 2:17pm
There might be a way to make a compatible patch that shows both interaction menus when right clicking? What a bummer. This mod's so great, it used to drive me insane that there isn't better support for custom direct hotkeys by default.
era 30 Dec, 2020 @ 2:16pm
Okay so the problem's just that Allow Tool takes over the right click function or something like that? If I disable it, create the hotkeys I want (ctrl + c for cancel, for example), then re-enable Allow Tool, the hotkey still works fine and appears on the options.
era 30 Dec, 2020 @ 2:09pm
Ie just the usual selection pops up when right clicking while holding the assigning key; nothing related to this mod happens (no errors either). Works fine if I disable Allow Tools.
era 30 Dec, 2020 @ 2:02pm
Having the same problem as HMIMH with Allow Tools. I'm using the workshop one.
Devilus 29 Nov, 2020 @ 9:10am
Any tutorials on how to use this mod? I tried following the youtube video, but that simply won't work. The mod configurations UI doesn't show any hot keys either.
Aze  [author] 1 Oct, 2020 @ 6:48am
@HMIMH: No problem. If they update the workshop version and the issue comes back let me know and I’ll look into it.
HMIMH 1 Oct, 2020 @ 3:21am
Fixed by using workshop and not Git, even though git was a more recent one.. this was one of a silly error I could have avoided easily..!
Well thank you for helping me out. Awesome mod, will save me lots of time <3 :p2cube:
Aze  [author] 30 Sep, 2020 @ 2:35pm
@HMIMH: I can't seem to reproduce this. When I right click normally I get the Allow Tool menus, when I hold the Assign Gizmos keybind and right click I get the Hotkeys menus. Could you test using the workshop distribution of Allow Tool, and provide a mod load order if you can reproduce it there?
HMIMH 29 Sep, 2020 @ 10:24pm
Issue is isolated. Only conflicts with AllowTool https://imgur.com/a/AtfBbE3 I think because allowTools makes new small dialogs, too. Also, I'm using the latest AllowTool from git. Yours is from workshop? Maybe The git one is outdated
Aze  [author] 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:54pm
@HMIMH: If you isolate the conflict I'll look into fixing it. I'd suggest enabling your mod list by halves which should let you narrow it down much more quickly.
HMIMH 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:50pm
Mod alone works, thank you. I will look into what the problem could be..
Aze  [author] 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:35pm
@HMIMH: A small screen should pop up next to your cursor allowing you to create the hotkey. Can you try with just Hotkeys enabled please?
HMIMH 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:31pm
Thanks for replying. I tried assigning Gizmos to Alt+Shift+Ctrl as you suggest and then just with Alt. What is supposed to happen when I hold Gizmo key + right click an order? Maybe I'm just missing a step:winter2019happyyul:
Aze  [author] 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:23pm
@HMIMH: I just tested with Allow Tools and see no issues. What do you have 'assign gizmos' set to? If you can test with just this mod that will rule out mod compatibility.
HMIMH 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:09pm
I'm using the allow tools, which opens a small dialog in the orders. Maybe they conflict?
HMIMH 29 Sep, 2020 @ 9:08pm
Willing to use this, but I hold the gizmos key, and right click an order, like mining, and nothing happens
roventu 8 Sep, 2020 @ 12:14am
This has to be my favorite qol mod, ily man
Aze  [author] 26 Aug, 2020 @ 2:03pm
@Infinity_Star_Omega: No, that’s not a feature, sorry.
Mr_Flooffy 25 Aug, 2020 @ 10:42pm
is there a way of key binding a command from the debug actions menu.
Aze  [author] 16 Aug, 2020 @ 12:58pm
@Pillowesque, razaron: The latest update should have made this fully compatible with 1.2, and fixed a few other minor issues. Thank you for the reports.
razaron 15 Aug, 2020 @ 4:48am
Same debug key conflict here. I doubt it matters outside debug mode but still spoopy
Pillowesque 12 Aug, 2020 @ 10:02pm
@Aze here are the logs!: https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/af74a17760e7d7a0ca73414f72b1fec4

And a screenshot of the (only two, and I haven't noticed it affecting gameplay so I'm just kinda rolling with it) errors!: https://i.imgur.com/HZ79lgs.png

I really appreciate your mod thanks for the quick response it seems like one of the things that should just be in vanilla haha
Aze  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 7:54pm
@Pillowesque: Can you provide a log of the errors? I just tested and it appears to work fine with 1.2. If the only issue is the version mismatch I will push an update to fix that, but if there are actual errors being caused that I didn't see I'd like to fix them beforehand.
