@Dregn Ryder - unfortunately the original author of the mod used due to limited possibilities in the beginning of the game a very simply technique to build the windows. Changing will most likely break a lot, and that is also the reason, why the window cannot be moved around or is smart enough to change the position. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

@tfbofficial - be always careful, what you want to change. Some settings may break the gameplay, as the simulation does expect a different behavior of a specific vehicle.

@AI Masri Cat - no, AVO did not have such functionality. It always uses the asset name from the original author. But there is mods out there, which allow such, but I also cannot remember it anymore.

I might not be remembering correctly, but didn't AVO once have an option to rename vehicles? If not, maybe that's something to consider adding? Many people on the workshop don't always name their assets in a neat and clean manner and going into the asset editor for every vehicle can be a pain.

Tim - Is there a way to move the customization window? It it pushed offscreen by some other mods I have for public transport, and I'd love to have it attach to the side instead of the bottom, if possible.

@NEW FOUND GLORY - that is really weird, but I might have a theory: the game has a standard set, which should have always an active vehcile. Example: Electric Car - if the game has no alternative model/asset available, it might spawn the model. If you download a vehicle, which could replace the deactivated model, it should be fine. As said, it is just a wild guess.

Service Vehicles must be changed in the Service Building directly, e.g. Police Station. Public Transport must be changed on the Transport Line Manager. Kindly check the Wiki for steps how to do that.

Citizen vehicles should not spawn, if deactivated.

A more refined configuration can be achieved with Algernon's Vehicle Selector, which allows to control the spawn of vehicles from specific buildings. Cities Skylines uses since a release in the past a different technique for picking up available vehicles, which cannot be controlled by AVO.

@Ho0niGan - Cities Skylines spawns the garbage vehicles on the demand in the cities. If you increase the cargo hold that much, the game will spawn less vehicles. This is one of the downsides, some settings will break the intended game mechanics.

It would be recommended to use a much lower value, as the game thinks, that with the 4 trucks all garbage can be dealt with. Buildings are sending "orders" with amounts to the garbage system, based on that, the trucks are spawned. With 60000 the game "thinks" all should be good to cover.

I turned off all vanilla cars and they still spawn, however at low rate, but still spawn... few here and there, they are ugly and I would love to get rid of them entirely, any advice?

Yes, problem with Garbage Truck. Normal capacity 20000 if i use 60000 jsut only 4 trucks appear at max !

@Tim - All types of vanilla vehicles, whether residential, commercial, or industrial, will appear irregularly. Such as the vanilla oil trucks, mining trucks, forestry trucks, and even the annoying commercial donut trucks. Hope to fix the issue ;)

Same here im having the same issue where i disable the vanilla vehicles and somehow are still spawning on the roads. I do like this mod a lot and i hope it can get fixed

There is a issue with this mod for me: I have already DISABLED the generation of all vanilla vehicles, but those vanilla vehicles will STILL be generated on the road. Has the function of disabled generation become invalid since the latest game update??? Also, this mod has not encountered compatibility issues with any of my other mods. If invalidation, please fix it.

@Metro Commander - Passengers are only available on Public Transport vehicles, bus/train/plane etc. For which vehicle you want to change it ?

@ÆK47 - there is probably some other mod using the same. You can redefine the keybind in the options and choose something else instead of the default. I also heard that this happens somehow, but I do not know, which mod causes the interference.

@2370001965 - For Service Vehicles you have 2 options, first is to set the desired vehicle directly in the service building. Second option is to use Algernon's Vehicle Selector, which will allow you to specify multiple vehicles spawing from the service buildings (e.g. multiple police cars with different layouts).

@chestdaychad - You could try to pause the game, disable the vehicle, then use the "Remove" buttons to remove all vehicles. Another reason could be, that you have already disabled a specific amount of "Citizen" cars and now C:S does not find any to spawn, for each disabled vehicle a substitution must be available. I know this error when deactivation all electric cars without having a replacment added. I hope this solves it for you.

AVO is actually doing this with the airplanes, so that players can make the size selection for using the airport plane stands, introduced in in C:S Airports DLC.

Similar would be most likely possible for vehicles as well. The issue is, that AVO was not designed by the original coder to do this and only starts loading itself at the very end of game initalization. For the change it would need to initialize, load and change the vehicles data much earlier, This might be especially required of cars changed to busses, which are on a transport line and potentially cause crashes, if not changed before all initialized.

And here we come to another limitation, it is simply the reason, that I would not have the coding experience to deliver that. In comparsion to the other code modders with C:S my knowhow is very limited. So I would need some very dedicated help to add such and it might require a major re-write of AVO.

It's not just me, but several content creators and players have been wondering if there is an easy way to change the vehicle category. I don't know if it is suitable for this mod, or if it is possible to do it. It would be useful if we could convert a vehicle
Examples:
Cover a racing vehicle for the bus category, so we can use it on a race track.
Convert a truck to be used at DLC Indústrias.
I know you can do this in the editor. But it requires many steps. We could do this all in game

hi, im new to modding CS, i notice when I stop a vehicle i dont like from spawning (floral buggie) or some other vehicle, and i resume the world session, i keep getting object reference not set to an object errors, they keep spawning rapidly. is there any workaround to this? or am i just going crazy. I have zero vehicle mods
