I said less OP. Right now they are so OP that as soon as you build them the game almost becomes boring afterwards. 90% of Rimworld don't like that so, I'll just balance it slightly. It will still be powerful. Just less absurdly powerful.

I think you will enjoy the new DLCs when you start playing again, they add a lot of good content. I certainly look forward to seeing what you do with this mod in the future, the Goliath and Predator turrets were staples in all of my bases.

I'm tied down with many other modding projects atm but I do plan to return to Rimworld one day, the game looks enticing with all the new DLCs and updates. I will likely do a texture remake to make them look more polished and vainilla friendly, make the turrets less OP, and so forth.

I tested it out in 1.4. the turrets still work, the only issue is the top part of the turrets are invisible. I'm not a modder but it would seem like a complete rebuild isn't necessary, maybe just fixing the texture path.

There's really no reason to though. I'll just have to rebuild the mod from the bottom up.

Thanks. If only I were not conscripted into civil service in my country as manpower to assist the logistical struggle against the pandemic, I probably would've made things with fire and more long ago. I swear that one of these days when my life is in better shape I'll return to Rimworld and overhaul this mod to be even better.

Thanks for this mod. Not too powerful, better than vanilla, proportionately expensive and nice to look at. I've used your mod for years now and I figured I should say so.

Updated, removed old research nodes and simplified them to be integrated into Vanilla. Nerfed turrets across the board to make them more balanced.

A small compact turret that has a very short range but really high accuracy, for indoor defence without shooting at your own walls? For choke-points in hallways and stuff.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Reskins? Refined sound effects? Are some turrets too OP or too weak or too expensive? Do you guys want another turret? I was thinking, I'll just get rid of some excess research nodes in between, and create a turret that's meant to be an upgraded version of the mini turret, and then another turret that's meant to be in between that and the predator turret, while pushing the predator turret and the goliath and jaeger even further into the late game.

I love the mod but i have a quick question. I use the mod ingame-definition-editor to buff turrets/weapons because i like my stuff more powerful than what it is. I want to buff the Goliath turret but cant find it in the editor. What gun does it use? i can find the Jaeger Turret Gun and the Predator Turret gun, and have edited them, but i cant find a Goliath Turret Gun.

Overhauls like combat evolved won't convert the stats of this mod. Otherwise this mod should be compatible with anything.

The Jaeger base's tint was matched with newer ones. It's also a 3x3 turret again like the goliath.

Updated with some fixes. The Jaeger Turret should reload now. The Predator now fires a bit slower but has higher bullet damage.

Yeah More Vanilla Turrets already fill that role, so I wanted to provide a more niche (filthy casual jackoff fantasy) role with my mod. This is best used with hardcore difficulties, or aggressive mob mods like Xenomorphs.. Starshiptrooper arachnids.. zombieland, etc.

@Lotus Elise could you elaborate on the max radius issue? I'm not seeing any issues with the range UI. The Jaeger's max range should be 55 tiles.

There are some research panels that do nothing as of yet because some features from b17 became incompatible with 1.0. In time they will be added back into the mod.
