I don't remember exactly how, but i know that i exported it directly from the Unreal 2 editor, and then imported the file into unreal 3. I exported it as a model i think, and i didn't used any external program

Hey dude I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. How the hell did you get unreal 2 terrain into unreal 3? I need unreal 2 terrain for a vcd map I'm making. Any help would be appreciated.

intended, it's to avoid being trap in trader room
am too lazy to teleport atthe end of trader time, and even with teleportation system, sometimes it will not work properly and player would be trap inside the room (already saw it multiple times in other KF1 ports)
pass through doors is both an easy (lazy) and effective solution. For sure, it doesn't look good when you do it, but when playing normally you shouldn't even notice it (unless 1 min is not enough for you to purchase a gun ?)

There are objective zones on the map. I uploaded this map before the release of the new objective mode, so obviously when i checked the category "Objective" it was refering to the "Hold Your Ground" objectives.
These categories are chosen when uploading the map, so i can't change it anyways.

This one is great! Much better than the previous remake of Wyre that was floating around (completely different from the kf1 version)... really enjoyed the purple glow from the mushrooms and everything that illuminates the zeds. Always knew this map would be awesome in kf2; works well so far

Well, for some really odd reason the missing textures are gone. I didn't even even unsubscribe, respectively reinstalled the map. Just went "Offline Solo" play, and the textures were there again. Maybe a driver bug?

I've just checked it and i don't have any missing texture. Maybe your map file is corrupted. Try fully reinstalling it with those steps :
1- unsubscribe
2- go to Documents\my games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Cache and delete the folder 1560030802
3- resubscribe

Also, if you already worked with the KF2 SDK, you maybe have some shaders interfering with the map. In any case, you can safely go to Documents\my games\KillingFloor2\KFGame and delete the folder called "Published". This folder is where are stored "compiled" files when using SDK, everytime you're cooking a map, pre-compiled shaders will be stored here, but they will also always be used when playing the game. I already had problem with this, so maybe it's the case for you too.

Tell me if you still can't fix the issue.

I'm not going to update the map just to fix this one, since it's a pretty heavy process and this is not gamebreaking. I'll fix it next time i'll need to update the map.
I'll take this occasion to open a new thread in the "Discussions" section, i will use this to list reported problems that need to be fix, and it will also be a good place for people who want to report bugs.

Also the pathfinding around the pictured fence gets a little weird and causes some performance issues.

Bugs discovered
Players get stuck inside trader in the basement but does fix itself eventually.
Players get stuck between this rock and tree just below the forest waterfall.

Map choice is great, I loved this map back in KF1. I took a look at in the editor and you got more work to do, there are multiple breaking issues and you'll notice them in time when more people give you feedback. Cool port.

@Jewpwnicus They kind of already made some remake with BioticsLab, FarmHouse and Manor, but the map layouts are nothing like the original.
I would also love some official remakes with same layouts but with remade assets, but this will never happens.

Awesome remake! There's a problem with crawlers getting stuck underground though. Not the underground lab, but underground as in inside the ground itself. Other than that I didn't notice anything else.

Thank you for remaking one of my favorite maps.
I had an issue though when I picked up a 9mm pistol, it made my 9mm pistol disappear rather than dual wield. Could be unrelated to the map.
Also, could you restore the red sunset lighting to the exterior of the map? I thought that was a very striking feature of the original.

full 60 fps most areas however I re-tested your new upload and found two problem ares dropping down to 30-40 fps, only when zeds are around even one fp is enough to cause the framerate drop

The other was some stairs leading downward. No other areas acted up that i could find while kiting the map

I'll try it now, and report back, a few things to note as well. Many ported kf1 maps can have these problems (not just my pc) but only in certain spots, like KIllmasters manor map when kiting around
near the building. Also talking with Rockmax who ports stalker maps, he claims on some of those theres just no way to optimise some things. for the record I'm running an amd 8350 though i highly doubt unreal engine will care vs intel as with some engines/games. Vid card is a rx 580 8 gig model so I don't think its textures doing it. 16 gigs of corsair vengeance . Game is on a standard sata hard drive.I also have monitoring software running temps so I'm sure its not faulty or overheating hardware going on

I have uploaded a new update to try to optimize it. I've reduced foliage draw distance and i've merged the trees into several meshes group. I can hardly notice a difference because my computer is too powerful and i'm still running at 150-200 fps, but it should be better for lower computers.

Well, the thing is i don't really know how to optimize it. I've put a maximum display range for some meshes, like tress for example, but the thing is that almost all my static meshes are merged by type across all the map, so i can't hide one that is really far without hiding the ones that are really close. I don't know if i should have done it like this. I don't even know if that's the cause of low performance. Maybe should i cut my merged mesh into smaller groups ? Or maybe on the contrary i should merged all my trees into one giant mesh ? Maybe it's because i've done some lazy complex collision on some meshes ?
As i said, i don't really know how to do optimization, if someone wants to teach me it would be appreciated.
Anyways, performances are not that bad, i didn't tried coop, but in singleplayer i always have 60+ fps.

Love this kf1 port..excellent all around, however one things stopping me from playing on it let alone installing it on my public server for others to enjoy those being pretty nasty framerate drops in certain areas outside, we are not talking dripping down to 50 fps but 40s, possibly lower. In addition my rig should be able to handle this fine and I have my framerate set to 60 otherwise most maps go up in the 100's. Don't want to sound as if I'm complaining either too much or being unappreciative of the work on the map

Everything is possible, but i'm probably not going to do that because i did not played Quake that much. My future maps will either be original maps or more KF1 ports. I think i'm going to do KF-Bedlam next, it was the first map i ever played so it has a special place in my hearth.

If you have time to spare, you should consider learning how to create map. Jump into other people maps with the SDK and look how they're doing the thing. Start by making very simple maps, and you will soon get enough knowledge do you orwn Quake 3 ports.

Did you tried to restart the game ? Map list is only updated when the game is starting, so if your download is finished after your launched the game then it will not show.
