If you read the description it says "Renames the Valletta City State to Calatrava with a new icon. No change to ability."

Apart from the R&F DLC, what else does this mod need to work, as it does not work for me, even though it has been enabled, and I can see it in the game's mod menu??

JScibby2007 You need to download the zip file (for example from civfanatics) then unzip it to the c:\users\'your username'\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods folder. After that it will be visible under the Mods menu in CIV 6 and you can enable it...

With R&F I was able to solve the issue with manual install in stead of subscription... with the new GS, the subscription is working for me

Hey, I tried this mod out on Diety. I normally play on Warlord, but I thought I would win as Malta. I didn't. Pls buff the Civ, or tell me I suck.

I really enjoyed playing as these guys. They didn't seem overpowered to me, as much of their abilities are quite situational or don't kick in for a large chunk of the game. I loved the cittadella, it seemed to be balanced just right, with them coming fairly late and each city only being able to build one, but the bonuses being solid, especially if adjacent to coast. I did notice that those of mine constructed next to coast were experiencing a small bug, where instead of giving +2 faith and +2 culture on top of their previous yields, it was giving them +0 faith and +4 culture. The Hospitaller was solid, especially when Genghis Khan tried to invade me with mounted units. There was a small bug with them as well though, as they weren't purchasable with faith in any of my cities. Overall, this was a fantastic civ and quite fun to play as. I noticed their pedia entries were blank, so if you'd like somebody to write those up for you, I'd be happy to.

@mediocrity: two books worth getting for the Teutonic Knights are: The Northern Crusades by Eric Christiansen; and The Teutonic Knights by William Urban...a very complete overview of both...they later morphed into the the Duchy of Prussia, which morphed into the Kingdom of Prussia, which morphed into Germany under Bismark. I am glad you have taken that project on. Many thanks.
These Orders were a fairly interesting development in Western Civilization going up against early Poland, Lithuania, Pomerania, and more. Estonia being a colony of Denmark could be an interesting additional Civ. Good Luck and Thanks.

I played it both Settler and Emperor just to get a feel of the difference. Settle was unreal how big the bonuses add up, and while King wasn't that bad, it was it was a pretty big advantage when all of my cities were coastal. Hospitaler was pretty huge when you are pretty much always just defending at that level.

IF not on a coastline. Even a couple cities with that makes it a pretty large advantage as it is cumulative.

You realize with more than 2 cities at that time you can produce units and get your districts which add more than just the unit.

If you want to provide actual feedback, i suggest not being so unfriendly about it. Tell me what difficulty you were playing on, what game speed, and just how powerful you actually were. Maybe then i can do something about perfectly balancing the mod.
But my own testing, which i did thoroughly, has the Civilization fairly balanced in comparison to Firaxis' own.

A single free *anti-cavalry* unit per city, only acquired after building two whole districts. You realise you could build a bunch of units with that production used right? Victoria gets a free melee unit twice per city (if they have a harbor), which usually requires a strategic resource and so is much more valuable.
The Cittadella doesn't have "every bonus". It actually provides fairly weak yields compared to other unique improvements, especially if you're not by coastline, and it is limited to 1 per city. The Tourism after flight is a function most culture improvements actually have, it's just not listed.
"Super healer unit", have you even used it? It increases the healing of adjacent units, but it has no more combat strength on the attack then a normal Pike and Shot, which means you can't exactly take down whole armies singlehandedly with it.

unbalanced as F... hey lets give cittadella every bonus we can. And make a super healer unit, and make cities ridiculously harder to siege with a free unit with easy requirements.

Beautiful looking mod by the way, but I'm just wondering does this mod require Rise and Fall in anyway? I can't seem to get it to load up at all on the game creation screen.

We're pretty close to finishing, as well.
