not "Argentina RP", this is actually how money works in any country with a central bank. When a gov decides to spend, they actually create the money (from nothing, digitally), deposit it into a fund of investment or institution. At the end of the cycle they collect taxes, which are deleted from the digital system. People think money works like a chest that you fill with taxes and empty with spendings, no. Money is always created first, and then deleted. That's why govs that have their own money can never go default, and why they can spend more than they tax. The math of how much to spend and how much to tax will always depend on local context of the society and economy you're in. Some economies need a lot of money creation to work well, like the US during the pandemics, or Brazil, although they refuse to do so. Other economies need less creation because they are in a good balance, in that case, to raise creation, it's a good idea to also raise taxes at the end of the cycle.

I don't know about making it illegal but you could try to make it so the more you craft, the higher the local region prices will be.

Edit : Ok it's Tech 4. Maybe it would be cool to make the bench tech 1 for 90 cats + long time to craft coins. upgrade tech 2 for 100 + reduced time/ upgrade tech 3 for 150 + reduces time again / and so on... With more specific materials to upgrade the bench including why not engine etc to reach a real powerfull press in the end :) Just an idea. Good job anyway :)

Hello, i'm sorry I try to test your mod but is it like a end game mod ? Can't find it in the core research while i'm already tech 3. I'm working on getting ancient books in case that's tech 4 but. ?

You can get 140 cats per iron I think, it doesnt make since to mine iron then make cats l.

Not as useful as i would hope, a full output is only 500 cats, with the amount of time you spend to make that much you might as well go out and take down a bandit camp and sell everything you get off of them.

It is a good mod but for what cats you get from iron ore you are actually losing money.

@Mikenekro, that defeats the entire purpose of the mod, which is NOT having to sell them to get money.
Pazuzu could make the action of using the bench illegal, so if anyone sees it, they'll report it.

Maybe you could make them "illegal" by turning the coins into an item then marking the item as a narcotic?

It's just a thought but that way they will turn up in searches and only specific areas will accept them.

si_mith => exactly what i had in mind but i'm noob on moding kenshi and havn't seen anything about "stolen good" but i can maybe make those counterfeit cats forbidden in holly alliance and other factions (like hashich) so they would be harder to sell.. another idea was to make a fork of the shop counter that could transform counterfeit cats into normal ones.

Make it so illegal that you get multi-raids from whoever is in power in that zone, so UC + Slave Traders in The Great Desert and if you're in the remote places send in the fogmen and cannibals! If you figure out the scripting. I'd download the mod just for that, awesome idea!

It would be awesome to make it illegal. I'm thinking make the coins an item called counterfeit coins rather than just becoming money and force the user to sell them to a merchant. Have the item permanently marked as stolen with a fence chance and marked as contraband so there is a chance of getting caught entering cities. Make coins of varying quality based on crafting skill but rather than higher value they have lower chances of getting caught.
