The author had fun developing this
it's a direct straight port keeping literally everything original.
the map had a lot of zombies is it a bug or is it just like that?
The bandits are also fictional and have no relation to the Florida team.
It was purely coincidental.
I'll mention it to my associate.
Applying a copyright notice to a work has not been required since March 1, 1989. A notice may still provide practical and legal benefits. Notice typically consists of the copyright symbol or the word “Copyright,” the name of the copyright owner, and the year of first publication.
When deciding to use a work protected by copyright, the general rule is to seek permission from the copyright owner. Under the copyright law, a copyright owner may authorize activities that fall under the exclusive rights of copyright.
The copyright in a work initially belongs to the author(s) who created that work. When two or more authors create a single work with the intent of merging their contributions into inseparable or interdependent parts of a unitary whole, the authors are considered joint authors and have an indivisible interest in the work as a whole. By contrast, if multiple authors contribute to a collective work, each author’s individual contribution is separate and distinct from the copyright ownership in the collective work as a whole.
it's about personal preference and variety allowing users choice.
we probably could easily enough add more weapons and items.
as for survivor set, there is the "survivor swap" mutation mode.
only l4d1 guns appear
The intro wasn't buggy for me, textures weren't broken, and mechanics work well. The only thing I'd suggest is to move more lighting in the stadium since it's during night time.
If you like this campaign, then you're going to like the Suicide Bltiz 2 campaign for L4D2. It's a very nice step up, but I love them equally!
and you've been the first to mention any of it.
are you sure you were playing this version and not any other port?
the rest were possibly intended due to changes between Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.
-As well as cubemaps, Map 1 and 5 also have broken lighting resolution or something. Causes weird multicoloured "negative" lighting.
-Map 1 has some broken textures that appear fullbright. First is a texture on the street which wasn't present in the original map, second is a texture on a building in the alleyways.
-Shader on the sewer water in map 2 is broken, making it appear completely clear.
-The bus model in map 2 and 4 uses the l4d2 schoolbus texture instead of the l4d1 valley church bus.
-Map 4's heavy machine gun should be a minigun. Probably also applies to map 5's but not 100% sure.
-Since The Last Stand came out, it would be neat if you could restore the original l4d1 zombie populations. Or at the very least use the l4d1 special infected (including the tank ragdoll in map 3)
-Intro camera is broken.
-Map 1 and 5 don't have cubemaps compiled properly.
-All weapon/item placements use the L4D1 entities still, meaning that l4d2 weapon variants (outside of the one magnum at the finale) don't spawn, nor do item variants such as adrenaline (not sure about defibs).
it's the same as the original first Left 4 Dead's just simply ported into the second.
it is a straight up direct exact port of the original first Left 4 Dead version.
i'd have to double check with Time Lord about any changes to be sure.
Does this add melee weapon locations?
