For your information, I proposed to a modder's discord the project of restoring and updating your classic mods for you.

@williamb1995 - I do encourage others to take the trowel and patch it, cause then nobody can give me trouble because I didn't go back on an agreement. Otherwise bro, I've got my hands tied. If this ever gets updated, I can get away by doing the Rimmu-Nation 2 rebalancing if I get free time. I can't make promises mate, at the moment this is abandoned in my eyes because I've updated it in the form of RH2

@william1995 - This is not going to be updated.

To those who don't know, one of the people who helped code this mod threatened for me to change the code or he'll take me to court. There was no grounds for an actual lawsuit because Ludeon owns all the .xml we do, but we had a sit down with a Ludeon staff member and I agreed to change the old stats for the weapons just to settle it.

Rimmu-Nation Weapons will NEVER be updated by me for this reason. I can rebalance the stats, but I've abandoned classic because I have my hands full for RH2 already. RH2 is meant to be the update for these in the first place. I've been getting it in the neck from critics that I also used stolen art (I did) and google images for these old mods. RH2 has original textures, a new code and it's up to date. It's got removed weapons because one of the main complaints were too much duplicates.

Factions will come but I have other things besides updating mods to deal with, so sadly, these things take time.

It does. Mods that simply add items / hairstyles or replace textures will likely work regardless of version. Unless the game update changes the file directory / paths, of course.

I like this mod and thx a lot but the tools/weapons which give a +85% to plant working speed and harvest are wee bit overpowered. Can you adjust them a little bit?

Why were the comments disabled?
I own multiple mods, a new version of RimWorld comes out while I'm working a physically and mentally demanding job.

Important points:
- Lots of weapons are now removed, most will not be coming back.
- New version uses 512 resolution textures, all originally made, no photos.
- Sound effects lowered to a significantly safer level
- Some sound effects have been removed, not used
- Spacer weapons are removed. Probably permanently. May return in new mods, not my priority right now.
- Stats are still the same for projectiles
- Shotgun ranges have been buffed

What's gonna happen with the RH1 mods?
I don't have plans on updating them for 1.3 because it's a lot of work and I'm working on a remastered version of the mods. I honestly don't have the time to maintain both versions.

One more thing- its if you have TOO many of the faction mods enabled, if you don't then it balances out.

@Chicken Plucker Ah thank you. I did some testing- though I didn't get to use many of the weapons, seems to me like most of the stuff in the mod packs in terms of apparel, and weapons- at least function. I can't tell you though about the more unique stuff, like one-use RPGs, or aerial strike weapons, etc. The factions break the game- at least for me. I use Ideology + 1.3. Using any of the faction mods makes it just so only the Civil Outlander factions spawn, and just 1 of their bases, no matter population density, etc.

This is the early 1.3 versions of the RH2 set, which has a lot of the weapons and all factions removed. Factions will return slowly later, as for the weapons, not all of them will return. So far that 1.3 update for RH2 is at a halt due to activity ramping up at work thanks to a coming exercise in a few weeks, otherwise when the fixes are implemented I can spend more time adding new content.

Testing this version will have unpredictable effects, and I'd rather you hop in on the new stuff that will come out later.

I know you've been working on 1.3- or have plans to- but do you know if this causes any game breaking glitches on 1.3? I really enjoy your mods, and think RH is an extremely fun set of mods.

@Norman"Machine"Ellison - I don't know what you're doing, but similar to below I have tested the mod along with most of the faction mods.

The weapons for air support still work, they are equipped. I didn't seem to have done any coding to make them wearable. Are you on CE? There's pictures of them using it, there are zero errors. Whatever is going wrong it's possibly just on your end cause I haven't touched these bombardment weapons on my mod to be a belt apparel (as far as I know), and from the images, they are working as they should, as they have.

A lot of the errors reported here are caused by other mods, so please triple check things on your end.

@GeodesicDragon - Do you have a full log? Because if you grabbed this error in the middle of the entire log, it doesn't explain anything.

I've just enabled this mod on it's own, then enabled it with most of the faction mods, and there are no errors. Here are the pictures: https://imgur.com/a/z40phO3

Whatever is going wrong, it's on your end. It's either a mod conflict or workshop not downloading the files properly, only the full log can help identify the cause. This isn't the cause of the mod on its own because I don't leave my mods in an unplayable state (most of the time.).

Just started the game and got this error.

@Norman Are you using character editor? You can no longer equip orbital bombardment / laser designator via the equip menu. You have to spawn them on the ground, then order your pawn to equip it. Probably because they are now utility items, rather than weapons. The change that I dislike tbh, because they now occupy the belt slot, and have since become uncraftable.

i removed simple sidearm and its still not working at all i think rim equip at belt or legs on skin not weapon slot that caused this bug
right click doesn t even show me the selection 'equip' at air support and space
i wish you let me equip at weapon again

I do think RN2 sounds like the better choice. HD weapons are a big plus and while I love variety, there is such a thing as too much and I always thought this was a little bloated with guns. Plus I'd imagine a lot of people have more guns from other mods anyways, at some point the pool of weapons just becomes a hassle.

Final notes, if some of you decide I should keep this original version and the new one, keep in mind I'm just one guy and trying to fix old stuff and make new stuff will split my focus and time allocation, meaning I can't do new content properly and swiftly when I am busy fixing old content. I am in favour of moving on with all the improvements, otherwise if we have both mods, people will keep complaining about the issues with the old version, not realising it's all been fixed in the new version.

Hey all, have decided to re-work this mod along with the rest of Rimmu-Nation. I am thinking of dropping support for 1.3 for this version in favour of the Rimmu-Nation 2 remake, which has significantly less weapons, and no custom benches but all the artwork is HD and originally made as opposed to what you have here. Sounds have been improved in volume, being less deafening and some unused sounds removed. What are your thoughts on losing this original version?

Before I get spammed with "1.3 update when?", it'll come out when it's ready because I've got a job to do everyday and sitting around all day fixing what 1.3 has broken is something I don't have the luxury of time to do. I also don't have the time to carefully make quality textures within seconds, so understandably this new version will have a lot of weapons removed and will take a long time to build up content for.

@Norman"Machine"Ellison - Hi Norman, it seems all the problems your reporting are caused by mod conflicts. Its either you had CE which caused the airstrike issues, or you have simple sidearms which causes pawns to keep dropping the weapons. I would appreciate you dropping me error logs because I can spend all day here guessing what the cause is unless an error log gives us a name of a mod that could be causing it

@LordHumanity - If I enable colonists to hunt with explosives, they blow themselves up or someone else not meant to be blown up when you're not looking and then people will ask me to disable hunting with explosives. I've banned it due to that reason.

vanila clothes and mode body can equip that stuff but my rim who wear rimmu clothes can t equip how to fix it? or can you fix it?

@Chicken Plucker, the only thing I see in the debug logs is that the burst rate is the same or higher as automatic fire rate for the Auger Mk II, there are no other messages when I try targeting enemies through walls.
