For some reason, the Decision to give technology to your Vassal no longer works. The actual Kingmaker itself seems to work, unless something changed very, very recently. This is important to me because no other means to elevate the technology of your Vassals exists.

It should be listed as a planetary decision on your capital world, not in the edicts. Thank you for playing.

Also, vassals are not really 'improved' by my mod, this just gives you better control over them.

Does this improve the vassal by making them give you naval capacity or resources cause right now vassals provide no bonus whatsoever to the overlord?

I am unaware of compatibility issues, also the vassals act like vanilla vassals, as far as I know. I did not really add new functions.

"Subject Expansion" should not be my mod, I added Kingmaker Government Selection in edicts, Kingmaker Ethics Selection in edicts, and a number of planet-wide decisions.

pretty sure if you release a vassal and it doesn't have half your tech it a protectorate already

There are now two edicts as well, these will allow you to choose your vassal's government and ethics, it applies to all of your vassals though, because I could not find a way to target certain ones, still better than before. Also, only base game things apply.

Protectorates seem to be out of reach for now, but you can now make a tributary out of your worlds. I hope that is at least something. They do not give influence as far as I know, but they do give resources.

@White_Drake (UA) I have learned that a protectorate becomes a vassal when you have close tech levels. When you release a vassal, it has the same techs as you and so I do not think that a protectorate option is possible. Sorry. However, I will see what I can do. Perhaps a tributary will work? I will have to see.

@froestelchen3024 There is now a decision that should give all of your vassals your tech and keep them strong and helpful. Now be careful with this decision, because it will bring every one of your vassals up to your tech level. I could not find a better way. Hopefully it works right and saves everyone from having to edit the save game.

i like this mod however its a bit of a problem later in the game as the new vassal has not the same tech as your own empire making the vassal nearly useless so i had to add the tech to the vassal by editing the savegame

I now have an option for xeno vassals. The species is a random pop from your selected worlds that is not your main species. You can now choose between your species and a random xeno pop.

Great idea, would like to see a choice of main species for that vassal, because this would be the only reason for me to release a subject.
