shoes work. for some reason was r clicking them in quick bar work if l click but even when follow instructions meticulously crash on all attempts to access next area. unless have misunderstood and gnome in first area

Hmm - will check that and get back to you. Maybe I will add a script to automatically cancel polymorph if I figure how to do that.

sorry have tried . yes once you know it is there the cancel polymorph option is obvious. the shoes remained a problem. on 1 out of 9 or 10 times they gave a casting option and I did get a message with 1 of them about a head shot . otherwise they gave a sword option which just does nothing. eventually paladin died in one of the options where i just got a sword but didn't actually seem to be anything i did. game then crashes 3 times when i try to go through web to next area. am having no technical problems playing other mods

Exiting polymorphy is done by clicking on your portrait and choosing "cancel polymorphy".
It had not occured to me that this default polymorph mechanic is quite complicated. Sorry :(

to get to first fight have to transform to woman. once transformed gargoyle skull that says 'your true form' goes red and can't be used so how do you exit polymorphy. trying to use woman's head again doesn't work ( also red)

To use items you need to exit polymorphy :( Hardcoded in engine.

can't play . says throw shoe. can't equip shoe r says can use l in red. if put shoe in quick slot doesn't seem to be useable nothing happens paladin remains undamaged . can damage ranger with ordinary weapons

In order to deal with FIRE susceptible baddies you can use druid spells or polymorph in to small res dragon and use breath weapon.

Alright, but the pregenerated PC is evil and the story caters to evil alignment. Why would you USS 2 handed weapon? The PC is a druid/ shifter equipped with sickle.. Moreover there shouldnt be ang trolla.. Have you commneted on the wrong page?

I didn't know you could kill a troll with a torch because you can only hold it in your lefthand and I was carrying a large axe and had to drop it.

You could make a doppleganger work in a module but you have to consider the different ways the party finds it and where they go with it. It would have to become part of the story.

Part 2:
You can use THIS CHARACTER in other modules but unless you add skins and .hak and scripts to give effect of polymorphing into those forms (all can be copied from Bordering Genius module) you won't be able to polymorph into those custom forms.

Now a very different thing is if you want to have doppleganger NPCs. Haven't done that personally but it is already done on neverwintervault. It probably uses standard MONSTER CLASSES like abberation, bug, undead and scripts to simulate doppleganger behavior (i.e. coping PC/henchmen appearence, maybe skills etc.

@wizzard: if you have custom doppleganger class..

In my module th doppleganger RACE is actually just "hacked" - I think it uses all the stats for humans. To do that IIRC I have used LETO.

The shapeshifter class requires 5 druid CLASS levels IIRC. You could remove 4 of those by using LETO , which would result in player character druid/shapeshifter (1/5). Then in-game you wouldn't be able to progress in shapeshifter any further due to lack of necessary requirements like skills etc.

If you want to make doppleganger a playable CLASS, you would need to make a doppleganger class. This is hard, but doable. Maybe PRC haks already have it.

To sum up: In this SINGLE PLAYER MODULE you play a pregenerated character with altered appearance, 5/5 druid/shapeshifter build, custom polymorph forms (in the borderinggenius.hak + custom item skins in toolset). Doppleganger is only in name and roleplaying.

I get a 'could not load the module - missing required custom talk table' error when I try launching it.
