this happened to a bunch of people now it seems. Since this bug occurs randomly, the only workaround right now is to quicksave the game and try it again.
I'll try to fix this.
did you follow the installation guide?

make sure to subscribe to the network script mod and the other levels
if you get a specific error message, what does it say?
@Metsakurat
it will probably take a few more months. maybe 3 or 4 (or more).
I'll also keep working on updating the other levels during that time.
All the other Duke maps are working fine.
My specs:
win 7
r9 290x
16gb ram
i7 4790
Anyone else having this issue?
Keep the good job.
I forgot about the auto saves, I'll have to just resume recording from the last point and patch 2 videos together in editing lol
oh well, I think I'm aware about this one.. I believe it's one of the assault trooper variants that sometimes causes the game to crash, and I don't know what exactly is causing this. The engine just doesn't throw out any error message when it happens. Fixing this issue is like looking for a needle in a haystack. really frustrating! I actually thought it was fixed because it had not happen to myself for a while now. Did you try resuming a save game?
Anyway, I'll do some more changes to the enemy placement and puppet settings in a bit.
Everytime it's happened it's after I've been shrunk and gone through the vent to the next area, I just hit with a white screen and an error message which I can't screencap and have to use Task Manager just to close the game down again.
I'll try swapping the API on the next go, Vulkan was really choppy for me on Hollywood Holocaust though and I switched back to DX11 and it was silky smooth.
Keep up the awesome work though!
hm, is it a specific location where it tends to crash or does it crash right at the beginning?
If the game crashes entirely you could try changing the video API or something.
There's not much I can do about complete game crashes other than changing random things and hoping to fix something with it.
Fusion is very unstable since the last update, unfortunately.
Also, i'm seeing alot of reviews recently on Youtube about your mod dude, even Gmanlives made a review, you should check it out.
This is a great reimagining. Nice work my friend. Real fun to just boot up and play after shit days at work. I know you only planned on doing Episode 1, but tbh, some episode 2, or some episode 3 maps might be fucki'n aces to see. I'd love to see how you do levels like Dark Side or something like Hotel Hell.
Again great work on this.
@damson
Yes, I already started working on level 5. https://imgur.com/a/S1gDWJA (WIP)
I'm also planning on adding addtional content to existing levels. :)
Gmanlives (formerly with three Gs) reviewed your mod with the first four levels in it. It's nice.
thanks! interesting, i added barriers for the Assault Commander to prevent that from happening,. Thought about deactivating the hover platforms too, but then thought it adds an interesting element of chaos to the fight. I could disable the collision on the platforms while the AC is alive. Will see what else i can do about the enemy navigation in that area.
Yeah, some models have simple collision primitives made for normal worldsizes. I can improve it by adding extra barriers in the world or something
