Hey, one question, can you look over it again. The towers are still firing on coupled grids. He shoots everything that hangs on an engine or block connector. LG Josh

They generally do for code reasons. However, the turret will refuse to make its ammo if the power requirement isn't met.

That power requirement scales the more you add, so a ship that uses 50 turrets, with each turret requiring 3 KW of power, would require enough power generation to meet a 150 KW draw, or none of the weapons can draw power. (Stupid, I know. Blame the original mod maker, not me)

They don't take ammo. They take power. Only torpedoes should take ammo.

I just noticed that you cannot produce the ammo for the 3 turrets that require actual ammo in the assembler

Hmm...I haven't seen this error myself, and I haven't seen any in the code about a turret suddenly going stupid. It might be a bug in Keens stock code.

I've been seeing a bug off and on for quite a while on this mod. The turrets seem to get stuck in a cycle firing constantly at nothing. Then when an enemy ship shows up, the turrets that are stuck seem to continue firing into space until I cycle the power. Any ideas on this one? As far as I know, I don't have any other weapons-related mods installed, so I don't think anything is interfering with them.

What produces the Discovery Torpedos? ive looked through all the productino blocks i have in game and those included in the mod and cant seem to find them for production

I really enjoy the weaponry, but one thing I wished you could add are additional interior blocks. Particularly sloped or angled passage ways.

I noticed you're looking for modelers. I wished I could help you, but realistically, I simply don't have the time.

getting hang of it tried to change defence turret category to gatling turret but instead i will just buff it to be strong as gatling turret category and somehow by modifying it got lost and appear in all blocks category only and not in the category you made also finally managed to change the sound file of defence turret to halo plasma gun (my favourite SciFi gun) XD i know for many its trivial stuff but for noob as me its happiness time to remodify number 23 ( in last 4 version i could at last start up the game before crushing XD) what also helps how you have it all clearly named there are 2 similiar ones and newer know which one is which XD DiscoveryPhaserPulseSmall and DiscoveryPhaserCannonPulse as the cannon is small grid and not sure to which gun the pulse small go so i decided to leave that becouse both use same ammo type too could you please tell me which gun the pulse small is to know if i should delete it or not? and sorry that i bother you like this

Anyway, finding a guide is extremely difficult, as people don't usually document what they do. I spent months learning how to piece everything together properly. Don't be discouraged if something doesn't work...or crashes your game. That's all part of the process, just make sure you learn from any mistakes you make.

hello im totally new to modding and i can't find good guide and i want to use parts of this mod as i really love it i want to take only the torpedo launcher and defence phasers but set the defence phasers to stats of vanilla gatling and connect it to the same ai but still energy-based instead of ammo this way i can have defence turrets with power of vanilla gatling and directly behind them missile turrets and since your torpedo launchers have half the dmg of large warhead there is no need to change them so i wanted to ask is it possible for you to guide me in this as i kind of became addicted to space engineers.

Oh, and while browsing through the 1000 pages here, I stumbled upon a Fantastic cache of Ship Starter Frames. Including a bunch of ST ones. I sometimes use frames like this in Empyrion as well to build my ships. They're great.

Game crashes upon placing the first Discovery Phaser Turret on a small grid (which is the only available small grid turret in this mod)

They are firing from the barrel. The barrel somehow get's stationary when I move....I guess that's one more thing on the list of thing's keen screwed up in this update....

Are they still firing from the weapon, or the separated barrel. If the weapon, then I think that's a visual bug. If the shots are still firing from the barrels, then it's a bug on Keens end, since the barrel dummies aren't suppose to separate from the block.

Either way, there isn't much I can do about that. :(

I think the turrets my be broken....The gun-part of the turret flew off the main part as soon as I moved the ship. Wierdly it did still fire at this position....
