Yeah I'm also having that problem. Great roads but this is super annoying.
Someone has suggested that the roads have no elevated model. Darned if I know though
The regular 2 Lane one way roads are fine (they won't cross if crossing is disabled) sadly it lacks the capacity for what I want :'(
I'm using TMPE 11.6.4 STABLE for the record.
eg; a 2 & 3 lane one.
Although with node controller - if I put a crossing in, I get a blue box across the road. Trying to work out why?

This seems bizarre as we drive on the left in the UK. A typo in the recommendation perhaps?

It's just a bit jarring using all these nice roads, and then having to use the normal tram ones.
