This mod is actually vital, this should be in vanilla it makes no sense to just peek from a corner, they see you, the whole pod scampers and covers and you get effd because now you are out of actions

This is one of the best mods ever made. No more fears about gold moving or revealing a pod on your last soldier. And if this feels like cheating, consider that Advent gets a free scamper and often can set up a flank AND an overwatch in the same move. Talk about cheating!

I love this, it feels like it should of been a vanilla feature, the enemy gets a free movement upon detection, why not you?

For some reason Xcom Scamper applies and then immediatly removes itself. Why is that?

@KharaaHunter Use Alternative Mod Launcher. You should use this because the default launcher isn’t great. Then, right-click any mod and click ‘Open in Explorer’. There, click the ‘Config’ folder and find the config file named after the mod (in this case, XComScamper.ini).

For some reason, the points are not displayed correctly any more.

I constantly have bonus scamper points being displayed, ">>+", but when I expend the "second to last action", I wind up with no action points left.

In alternate mod launcher select the mod, at bottom of the launcher select config, select the very bottom option from the drop down menu, you should see a line of code thats says something along the lines of "MovementPenalty=0.6" change the 0.6 to 1.0 and press save.

Hello, I do not see the option to reduce the movement penalty in the mod config menu (after opening the game). I am not good with code/modding and do not know how to manipulate files. Is there a way to explain how to do this in laymen to someone who is not tech savvy?

I hope someone can clear this up for me. I often find my turn ends with spare scamper points on a soldier. If I like where he is and choose not to move him, the only way to progress is to hit the end turn button, but does that not end the turn for the soldiers I haven't moved yet? Or maybe vanilla won't let me move them either. I can't remember.

Would be nice to have an option to remove one action point on the following turn after a scamper move is taken, to balance out the advantage of the scamper.

Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for making this.

(did have 4 or 5 instances of it or something else in my mods list removing action points post-scamper like Rub-A-Duck/p6kocka mentioned, but these were rare)

Hello Astral Descend I was curious if the movement penalty values for Xcom scamper were editable vie ini file. I ask only because I wondered if I could change it so my troops had a bit more leg room when it came to locating a better cover position as sometimes the current penalty prevents this as with my luck I'd lose a soldier or three.

Granted I'm not the best and am running A.b.a on Veteran even though it's my first time I am still having a decent amount of fun just can't stand those wombo combo tactics the game employs and has 2 enemies tag team kill a unit.

Is there any workaround for scamper move after the last soldier in turn move? Because when the last soldiers having 2 action points triggers a pod the next turn for aliens tactivates and you can´t move the soldeir

Scamper does not remove action points. In fact, scamper can only apply to a unit if the unit has 0 action points - otherwise the unit is skipped

Your Spark gets the ability Overdrive which gives you a total of 3 actions. When I activate Overdrive and push into the discovered enemy pod AND discover a new pod, then the scamper triggers and removes any remaining turn points and only lets me use the movement I get from this mod.

I hope one can understand what I meant.

Is the "pod discovery" last action of your turn? I.e. without this mod you would expect your turn to instantly end?

Has sort of a conflict with [WOTC] Mechatronic Warfare: Total SPARK Overhaul.
With this mod your extra points will be skipped, when you discover a new pod.

Update: Fixed an issue where moving to pick up loot caused scamper to not trigger

Note that this may fix more edge cases where movement caused some sort of reaction

Man, depending on pod locations, this mod is so abusable lol. I had a mission where I managed to get my soldiers about 3/4 of the way across the map in one turn, just conveniently revealing alien pods with the last moved soldier to get scamper to proc. Granted, fighting 3 revealed pods wasn't exactly easy lol.

Never playing without this again :-)

ok thank you for your work and please don't feel i'm being ungrateful but I did a mission and it worked but the problem i found was that I had already placed 3 other soldiers when the 4th located a pod and the mod worked except I didn't want to move the other 3 soldiers as they were in good positions is there a way you can add a button that allows the rest to stay put ?

only just installed this for new campaign, is this something that needs to be taught because on the opening mission it didn't work ? so am wondering if this takes affect after that or maybe another mod in conflict, any advice would be gratefully received
