It seems that here is giant hidden box in middle of the map, ai waypoints gets meesed up because of it.

If anybody else was getting error about requiring data not downloaded (tents) this map appears to be dependant on also have the map loaded Nam loaded.

I loaded it up on the editor to have a look. Got a popup about a couple things not loading, but the problem is there's no buildings on the map. Is this a WIP thing or does the map only work with UNSUNG loaded as well?

FYI I'm using the Unsung version and I notice the BI script function nearRoads (https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/nearRoads) doesn't work - you get "Road not found" in the report file. Vehicles followed the road ok but things like IED scripts that depend on knowing where the road is (using things like nearRoads for placement) don't work as a result. Not sure if you still plan any updates but if you are could you please revisit the roads on the map. Thanks for all the work in any case as it is a great map for mission makers.

I second that @Beachhead, I'd like to play my "DUWS-R The Pacific" WW2 game mode on this map. I have played this map in UNSUNG and love it, possibly because I'm Australian but I wouldn't take away from your skills as a map builder, awesome job dude you've nailed the jungle density, it makes for intense CQB that's not as retardedly CQB as say the thick Tanoa jungle. Don't really want to run UNSUNG and a WW2 mod at the same time, too many extra weapons in arsenal etc.....

@[NFG] MG.Chamberlain.G this version has't been updated. The latest an up-to-date version with working bridges can be found in the latest release of the Unsung Mod.

AI stop at bridges and wont cross them or just get plain stuck in a traffic jam...Wonderful map and great FPS but the deal breaker is the broken bridges

@warlocc Check the description, there is currently an up to date version of the map included in UNSUNG mod. This map will eventually be converted to a modern map after the UNSUNG map is complete.

@Ice had a graphics card die and worked built up on me. I've changed the grid size to 4096 and I'm kicking mysefl for not doing it sooner. Currently fixing the bridges, cliffs and buildings to match as well as some levelling, but the rice paddies are going to look much better as a result! I added you to friends as there's a couple questions I'd like to ask about making the SatMap better. Going to test out the cloud filter but I'm unsure what you mean by grunge textures?

The APEX error seems to be a class inheritance issue and will be resolved in the next update of UNSUNG. For those who haven't read the above IMPORTANT update. For the time being simply use the version of this map that is included in the UNSUNG mod. This steam version will be updated to modern era version when work on the Vietnam era is completed.

Hiya, If you do switch to 4096 grid there is a chance stuff will move a bit. But your towns are quite flat so they should be ok. Just remember to clear and export layers after switching.
Bridges may move, but you can always check them in buldozer. You can press 3 in it to check if bridges are connected correct so A.I drive over them.
For the sat map it just needs more variation. You could put 2-3 textures on top of each other, then use the alpha channel in them to let the ones underneath bleed through.
Basic example would be take a couple colours from the ground texture. Then use cloud filter.
Get some grunge textures and layer that over the top, maybe play around with colour balance on that layer so it blends better. Also make it transparent a bit to let the clouds layer show through. Or add a grunge texture to the alpha channel of it so it bleeds through that way. It's one of them things you have to play around with until your happy with it

@Wildchild918 It shouldn't require APEX DLC. Bohemia released all the assets to be used within mods so unless your playing on Tanoa you should be fine. Atm a more recent version of this map is included in the UNSUNG Vietnam War Mod, so try there and see if you get the same error. That version also includes buildings and a multitude of improvements.

When I try to go to the map in the Editor it says I need the Apex DLC. Does it require the Apex DLC?

@Ice. Cheers for the advice, ill look into 4096 grid cause that sounds much better (provided i can change it). Honestly this is my first map/project so its been a learning curve. As for the SatMap, I was limited to satellite images from 1986 to keep it as close to era accurate as possible. Sadly the resolution was terrible so I had to custom make the SatMap, basically layering the satellite imagery with my own texture blend. It looked much worse to begin with haha. Any advice on custom SatMap creation would be very helpful! Check out the current version in the UNSUNG mod, its got all the villages and towns added. As well as a slightly better SatMap which id like your opinion on.

Hi just wondering why you went with 2048 grid and 7.5 cell? You could have used 4096 grid and 3.75 cell, which would let you have more terrain detail.
The fields would be a lot easier to make since you can edit the terrain every 3.75m instead of the 7.5m your using now.
Also the sat could do with some work, it's very low res looking at the moment. Needs more variation and lighten a bit so it blends better with ground textures.
But apart from that, its looking like its got potential

@flankymanga This map was really made with UNSUNG in mind, both for our gaming community B52, which tests and plays the mod, and to add to the mod itself. Ill make a Apex version later as alot of people have expressed interest in it, but my focus is on finishing this for an upcoming campaign of ours.
