Cool side note for those who are looking for it, there's aimable AND manufactor's touch addons I found, HIGHLY recommend with this (just searching "katana" should be all you need to do). That said, I think linking them in the description for others to find easier would be cool. Thanks again for the awesome work dudes.

Hope all of you are doin ok.
Now why am I saying this, well first of all I unexpectedly have free time, and I was thinking of creating an Addon for this mod, specifically to do the wakizahi and tanto, but I'm afraid I still lack experience for something like that, that's why I want first look for ways to improve this mod, to gain experience, my next step would be to create an addon to incorporate the elemental types of Frackin universe and Arcana, and finally, when that has been achieved, start creating an addon to add the new weapons.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it would be to copy the algorithm of the fists, increase its reach to that of a short sword or a dagger and incorporate the combos related to an element.
obviously that the wakizahi and tanto are procedural like the katana would not be possible, except for its element (the fists are not procedural either) but it would give the mod more variety.

Vanilla spears are pretty boring, and I think having a polearm using slashes and stabs would be super cool.
A Solus Naginata with that shoots a laser like Nox does in the Hylotl mission sounds super cool to me.
about the tier adding blows to the combo ... because it all depends on the point of view, for some would like more a fixed combo while others prefer a weapon that can be upgraded, personally if I improve a weapon in the anvil of the Ancient Vault I would like my weapon to do more than slightly increase the damage, and the one that suddenly in additional combos would be very, very attractive, although again I say it is from my point of view
and about the elements of FU, if you notice I put it in the category of "dreams" because I know how absurdly difficult it is to try to make a mod that fits FU, when you think you have already achieved it, launch an update that pulls all effort down the toilet
Adding hits to the combo depending on the tier would be a lot more trouble than it's worth and would alienate people who are used to their weapons having the same basic moveset irregardless of tier. As for the FU elements, I'm not doing that because working with FU is a pain in and of itself, and I really can't be dealing with that. Feel free to make it yourself if you want, I suppose.
Create a plugin that allows you to include the 3 additional elements that exist in Frackin universe that can be used in the procedural katanas (I mean the elements: cosmic, shadow and radioactive. The other elements such as bioweapon, hellfire,
silverweapon and aether, they are exclusive to FU and honestly quite problematic since their attribute is not well defined).
3- I suggest that the amount of combos of a katana should vary according to the tier, in such a way that a tier 1 katana could give 3 hits, one with tier 5 would give 7 hits and obviously one with tier 10 would give 12 hits (2 hits more than the most powerful katana in FU, but keep in mind that the katanas of that mod are tier 7)
From here on, what I am going to say are more dreams than suggestions, since I do not know if they are possible and if they were possible, I imagine that they will be very difficult to do:
1- they add the "shōtō" which in summary would be a katana but can be used with one hand and is slightly smaller.
To make this weapon more attractive, I suggest that the combos work in a similar way to the mechanics of fist-type weapons, that is, by pressing only one button the attack that this sword alternates with another of the same type, in this way it gives the possibility for the player to create their own combos.
