I have a map in the making, started to build 4 years ago, abanoned the game for other games, now back and somehow thrilled to work on a map that nobody will ever play :)

OMG 9k hrs of TKOM, that's crazy awesome. Cause this game is so awesome! Even today! I take it's bugs for granted. Awesome scenario you made.

The MDV (Mars Descent Vehicle) must be left over from the original scenario. It has no MAV (Mars Ascent Vehicle) so I may alter that and script an ending on take-off. For my personal use only of course

Yes... the scenario is a created from 'Mining Site C-03'. I just played that scenario again and it is ridiculously short, and easy. I made a lot of changes to it.

The scenario only ends when you are 30 ft from the base, with all objectives complete... and yes, it does just fade out.

There is no MDV that I remember... what does MDV stand for again?... to the EAST at the original Manned Campaign landing site, there is much wreckage and many useful items to be found, such as methane... so if any player can't use chemistry to create it with the refinery, there is a supply there.

I think I spotted an MDV somewhere but haven't been over to investigate yet.

When I get back to 'Crusoe Outpost' with all the gear, a message briefly flashes on-screen saying something like "Complete all tasks to continue". All tasks are ticked off except Return to Crusoe. It disappears pretty quick so not sure on the wording. After that the scenario does not end and I am stumped.

The RTCM scenario is based entirely on changing an existing TKOM scenario... I just moved things around, replaced some other items, modified the goals, renamed, and published... was very careful to keep the code clean...

Can you tell which TKOM scenario I started with?

There are some Easter eggs no one has ever found... at least no one has commented :-(

The End: When you finally return to the starting base 'Crusoe Outpost' with your truckload of equipment, the scenario just fades out... no fireworks, but congratulations... I created a RTCM pt2 but had trouble connecting the two scenarios together... the second scenario should start with ALL the items you collected in the back of the truck, and I couldn't easily find a way to do that, so no part 2 :-(

RE-subbed to this today and see you have made some changes. Very interesting I thought. Nice work.

I still have to disable most of my other add-on's but that's no problem. Saving still crashes the game but fortunately it does save, so I can at least load it back in.

All tasks complete except returning to base with the transport truck. Not sure what is supposed to happen after that.

Clear your cache, verify the integrity of your TKOM files, disable all other addons and mods, and restart the game... should be fine if TKOM works at all... both the crash on save error and the mod conflict problems have been seen before and discussed in this comment list... please continue to read the comments below for more detailed analysis...

Good ideas... there are many good ideas, but none of us are are the creator...

This version starts off on the ground... it's not supposed to be like that... previous versions of this mod had the capsule landing with you sitting in the right seat (as opposed to the left)... I made a change to accomodate a movie with dialogue and music but I couldn't get the movie to work in the game... uploaded and abandoned in frustration... I may fix it and reupload a new version... thank's for continuing to see value in my work.

I get an Engine error now... before I didn't.
I wanted to play this mission again after I solved it...
Only this time.. stay at the mining site and build a base there.
First error: The lander and truck (later) wanted to go to the right when pressing straight.
This made both go slow.. Before I got in the truck I had to run the lander completely out of methane and/or power (on the back of the truck) to get it to stop (even when I'm out of it, it ran).
I tried saving.. . the save attempt did create a save game file BUT crashed the game instantly.
reloading, I continued to the truck.. truck kept going to the right (same as car) but at reduced speed (as if it were on simple power).
When I got to within 200m of the mining site .. .the first "engine error" (white screen).
Restarting ToM, then reload game--after starting new game--- seemed to fix the right-turn-speed error.. but.. within 200m of the mining site.. crash again, Engine error.

How's this for a suggestion...
Add parts to make a HUGE solar panel that does the work of about 20 of the smaller ones.
This way bases can be made and it frees up the smaller panels to be used with machines in remote areas.
Each part of the "Huge Solar panel" can only be made in the 3D printer.. and is built just like an outpost.
Once built, it is too heavy to move unless you take it apart and reassemble it elsewhere

That worked. All files verified and all other addons (45) dissabled and it's working. All tasks completing, one by one. I am now at the Mining Base, ready to load the buggy.

Now I have to turn them on again, one at a time to find which one is causing the conflict. :steamsad:

Null Pointer To Instance (yes... familiar to me... that's caused by running outside of the trigger of the incomplete 'Get In' portion of the script)
I see line 173... there's the real problem... all the rest of the error and the second error that happens afterward are just the rest of the avalance caused by line 173... but the Null Pointer To Instance problem I've seen was always with line 59... that's different... hmmmm...

Shouldn't be like that... no... I haven't seen that happen... try this first to eliminate erroneous behaviour:

1/ verify your game files: Use 'Properties > choose tab 'Files' > choose 'Verify Game Files'... it only takes a couple of minutes (not like defrag)

2/ is it a possible conflict with another XenabledX mod maybe? I only used EIGHT items in addons and none of them were enabled... here's a pic:

In the meantime, I'm gonna enable all those mods, clean up my files so only one scn/script copy exists on my system (in the downloaded addon), and try to recreate your error. I'll talk to you in a couple of hours after I do that. Thanks.

After I run over to the base from the lander. I enter, pick up some water, plant some potato seeds, grab the medical and construction tool, don the Europa? suite and climb into the buggy. When I drive away the marker for 'Enter the buggy' is still active and has not been updated as complete. After I drive past the first light marker the game freezes and crashes to desktop.

If I dissabe all scripts in the games Editor (using a copy) then it carries on fine.
