SO is this Atmo Safe?

So with SE2 coming, I wanted to tie up a few lose ends. Since people still had interest in this ship I decided to finally push the big update I started ages ago. (I got pretty busy with RL work, sorry :( ) But yeah! I'm pretty proud of the changes, the ship is a giant maze on the inside, best of luck to you all lol.

this still works with nearly Zero clang, despite Keen's best attempts, really interested to see whats in the works

Can't wait to see it now! You've got me hyped and tbh I only ever used upto 4 of the worker bee's at once

I've learned MUCH more compact ways of building effectively this same ship, and found out that the refinery-only functionality was limiting in practice. If I'm gonna work on this thing, I honestly might take it down to to the studs and completely rebuild the industrial space to include assemblers. There's a lot of wasted space in this design. I think I also want add landing pads to the roof for welding ships to reload from.

I'm honestly also not sure if anyone ever used the detachment feature of the docking rack. The idea there was to be able to remove it so larger mining ships could dock.

The unloading booms are also confusing and unnecessary... Basically there's better ways I've learned to do pretty much the whole thing.

How come! It's an amazing, aesthetically pleasing-looking ship! An idea could be to put in normal refineries but leave a space dedicated to the prototech refinery (for when players have gotten to that technology)
Canofjuice  [author] 8 Nov, 2024 @ 4:32am
I wanted to move on from this design, but since you asked... I had a sorta half-baked update that I'll finish.

Update coming? My favourite ship this
Canofjuice  [author] 21 Feb, 2023 @ 2:31pm
The PAM program is set up for the control seat (just menu navigation, up/down/select) on the workshop blueprint. The D-120 miners I designed to work with this thing are themselves set up withe the correct hardware and scripts ect. However actually inputting flight paths ect has to be done manually. For that, and other details (things like PAM communication channels ect) read the instructions on the page for PAM.

I'm actually holding off on the final update I plan on making to this ship because I'm waiting to see what the AI update brings.
MYK95 21 Feb, 2023 @ 8:11am
So I just got into the PAM rabbit hole and realise that this utilises PAM somewhat. Is there anywhere that explains how to connect my miners so I can use the Drone Command seat on the bridge properly?
MYK95 6 Feb, 2023 @ 6:23am
It's actually okay now. I figured out that by using creative mode I could paste the ship in working order and screenshot the various toolbars. So I've got them all now.

Thank you regardless. :steamhappy:
Canofjuice  [author] 5 Feb, 2023 @ 12:58pm
My toolbar setups definitely tend to get a bit crazy, I'll see what I can do.
MYK95 4 Feb, 2023 @ 5:26pm
Is it possible to get info on the various toolbar bindings for the control seats? A lot of them have not appeared for me when printing the ship out in survival.
sibuxiang's cursed donut 21 Jul, 2021 @ 6:31pm
would it be possible to get the pre-warfare dlc version?
Canofjuice  [author] 17 Jul, 2020 @ 4:11pm
Cool! Glad that helped! The pistons are more or less optional in the build - they're there to sort of make docking a bit more flexible, but the ship works just fine without them. :)
NerdimusPrime 17 Jul, 2020 @ 4:45am
Solved. I set the minimum distance of the pistons from 0 meters to 1 meter, and that stopped the twitching and rolling. Thanks for the suggestion!
NerdimusPrime 16 Jul, 2020 @ 8:34pm
Thanks for responding. It looks like the pistons are the problem. When I extend them the rolling stops, but as soon as I retract them, over the course of a few seconds the ship starts rolling again.
Canofjuice  [author] 16 Jul, 2020 @ 7:24pm
This is odd, no I haven't seen this before. The only thing I can think of is it might be something to do with collision for the connectors leading to the ventral docking adaptor. Maybe try disconnecting/reconnecting this piece a few times. I have timers set up to make it easy. Otherwise try messing with extending the resupply and unloading pistons along the sides to see if there's some kind of unresolved collision issue happening there.

-side note that I usually convert this ship to station when I'm actually mining to get PAM to work.
NerdimusPrime 16 Jul, 2020 @ 9:00am
This ship is fantastic. I'm blown away by the design, but for some reason it keeps rolling to the right. I've constructed it in survival using a nanite facility, everything's built and fueled. The dampeners are on, there is no override on any of the gyros, it's not moving through space, but it constantly rolls to the right at .01 m/s. If I shut the power off, it rolls faster, so it seems the gyros are mitigating the roll but not cancelling it. Any ideas?
Canofjuice  [author] 25 Jun, 2020 @ 11:52am
No worries! I wish keen would remove sorters having inventory or make it a toggle or something.
Tensocks 23 Jun, 2020 @ 9:34pm
yeah just understood what you mean by your comment. And i have grind down the ship and found it at sorter unload ingot. i dont know that sorter have inventory and it is off by default. nvm thanks for the reply.
Canofjuice  [author] 23 Jun, 2020 @ 3:30pm
Read my comment below, they're in the sorter cluster downstream of the refinery drain, "SORTER Ingot Unload" (Inventory is set to hidden by default).
Tensocks 23 Jun, 2020 @ 8:31am
I've tested to grind down all the sorter and replace with conveyor tubes. the ingot disappeared still lol. guess that is the server side of thing. too bad i've built this 3 days TT.TT
Tensocks 23 Jun, 2020 @ 8:01am
Hi ive built this in a server. the ingot just disappeared when i turned on the "Refinery ingot drain". can find the ingot everywhere in the inventory. strange. Why do you need 4 parallel of the sorter refinery ingot drain?
Senitro 4 Jun, 2020 @ 5:27pm
Hello, Thanks for sorting that out. You were able to answer both my concerns about the SORTER as well as give me some tips on how it operates. Thanks again!!
Canofjuice  [author] 4 Jun, 2020 @ 11:12am
Fixed! It was a simple settings issue:

"SORTER Unload Port" and "SORTER Unload Starboard" somehow lost their settings. I re-added ingots and ice to the whitelist, and now everything works as intended. (Those two sorters act as valves and are turned off until you're ready to unload.)

I should note that the big cluster of sorters in the back end labeled "SORTER Unload Ingot #" being set to drain all, their behavior is to send all whitelisted items downstream to the nearest block with inventory. If there's nothing downstream, they'll put stuff in their own inventory which is kind of annoying but is just the way SE works right now. So if you find yourself wondering where your first bunch of ingots went, they're in that sorter cluster ready to be unloaded.
Senitro 2 Jun, 2020 @ 7:05pm
This happens for ever connector, So it takes all the ore and sends it to the Refinery "Thats perfect", then it sends the material to the storage "Wonderful". Then hell breaks loose when I can only access the materials via external storage connector. Not via the ship unloading or loading connectors. So I cannot connect another ship to haul the materials away. Now your other ships like the Refinery Bar. and the Light Industrial are things we have the manually transfer from Refinery to the storage when it gets full. I was hopping that this ship Sorter system would be perfect. Also i was a big fan of the retired Neosho Mobile Refinery when you first made it. :steamhappy:

Hey @Canofjuice may be my questions was confusing. So I saw what you mention about the controls and tried that first but, the issue i am having is that I cannot take any items off from the ship via connectors. I will attach some Screenshots.
Canofjuice  [author] 2 Jun, 2020 @ 6:10pm
Oh, to your first question! The ship will automatically siphon ore and ice from any mining ship connected to the unloading ports on the rack along the bottom.
Canofjuice  [author] 2 Jun, 2020 @ 6:07pm
There's tubes on both sides underneath towards the middle (just in front of the mining ship docking adaptor). You'll see there's LCD's that label them. The other connectors underneath the airlocks (and on the spine) are for loading/unloading ship supplies like ammo and oxygen bottles... Stuff that the ship itself needs.

I set up controls at the helm to help line up the correct tubes with whatever you need to connect them with. It's page two or three I think.
Senitro 2 Jun, 2020 @ 2:02pm
I like your ship set but unlike other refiners yours is the only one that puzzle me about unloading from one ship to another. No worries am just a noob at this..
Senitro 2 Jun, 2020 @ 2:00pm
Hello I have a crazy question, with all these connectors and sorters. Is there a place to actually just unload all my cargo ore into a ship without having to go to the Cargo box. It seems every port will not let me transfer materials off the ship via manual selection. In a simple word I cannot unload the items. I pressed every button outside of turning off all the sorters.
Canofjuice  [author] 15 Mar, 2020 @ 7:22pm
No, sorry, its far too heavy.
