I'm honestly also not sure if anyone ever used the detachment feature of the docking rack. The idea there was to be able to remove it so larger mining ships could dock.
The unloading booms are also confusing and unnecessary... Basically there's better ways I've learned to do pretty much the whole thing.
I'm actually holding off on the final update I plan on making to this ship because I'm waiting to see what the AI update brings.
Thank you regardless.
-side note that I usually convert this ship to station when I'm actually mining to get PAM to work.
"SORTER Unload Port" and "SORTER Unload Starboard" somehow lost their settings. I re-added ingots and ice to the whitelist, and now everything works as intended. (Those two sorters act as valves and are turned off until you're ready to unload.)
I should note that the big cluster of sorters in the back end labeled "SORTER Unload Ingot #" being set to drain all, their behavior is to send all whitelisted items downstream to the nearest block with inventory. If there's nothing downstream, they'll put stuff in their own inventory which is kind of annoying but is just the way SE works right now. So if you find yourself wondering where your first bunch of ingots went, they're in that sorter cluster ready to be unloaded.

I set up controls at the helm to help line up the correct tubes with whatever you need to connect them with. It's page two or three I think.
