At first glance, maintaining the combat steel armor seemsvery dificult to remain within CPU limits. Thank you

Tried tweaking this design into an RE Core 9 compatible SV here. I rarely pull out HVs these days but really enjoyed the build.

Had some success but it's so darn heavy I consumed all Core 9 cpu with basic thrust.

The love of detail you put into your designs is really impressive. I love it. The Starwarden is also unprecedented for me, so when I discovered the tank to go with it, the day was saved. :steamthumbsup:

It's the CPU "feature" that was introduced awhile ago. This vessel along with many others won't operate properly if CPU is enabled in options. Disabling it should make it functional again.

I love the design and abilities of this monster tank. You did an amazing job! ^.^

But whenever I spawn it in I can't get any engines to work. She'll move up and down, but can't jump or move in any direction but the terrains inclination. Full fuel, I've not yet altered anything for personal customization, I've checked each switch and main system setting. There's no warnings when I spawn it, nor any in the blueprint menu.

I really want to get this tank working as it's a beautiful creation, and is perfect for my POI busting tank, especially POI's with heavy shields and planets with lots of creepy shit roaming about. Without it moving I can't use it, nor can I check to see if it will even fit in my hanger on my ship.

I've tested this with several other blueprints and had the same effect. Is this a known bug or some issue with spawning?

A H.P. Sragerlove, not all is lost since most people play with CPU limits turned off anyway.

Its fine I understand both side, and ya it does make things harder on the creators to have to make small more crapped builds which I hate as well.

Yeah, CPU update pretty much killed bigger builds. I have a version of this with just the hull and no components and the hull takes almost 60% of the CPU with all the CPU extenders. RIP.

The update pretty much rendered all the builds I had planned not really usable and it's kinda killed my creative interest in the game for the time being.

My friends server says (Exceeds max number for certain block type) I know it's nothing with the blueprint as he has it open to except all prints and block, just can't spawn it, it's written in orange

I plan on releasing a CV blueprint in the next week or so, could I please use this HV in some of my screenshots? one part of my ship is specific to this HV in general, It's the best HV! of course credit towards yourself would be in the description.

@Victusfate There's only 1 decoration that I've ever managed to get hardstuck on and its a small barren tree / twig that mainly spawns on snow planets. Every other scenario the boosters, drill mode, or hitting the 'O' key has managed to get the rig unstuck. It's a big HV so its bound to get snagged up onto the terrain deco now and then. Until Eleon fix the deco, YMMV.

@jared948 Thanks. The scenario is a WIP (set pieces, worlds, environments, some missions) I'm hoping in A10 Eleon will introduce AI crew, expand the faction system, and add more advanced AI for scripting actions in general. There are certain things I want to do with AI that can't really be done yet w/o Eleon adding more to the game.

@Pazznizzle Yeah, the CV in the screenshots has a hanger one step below max (13x7),which accommodate the bigger builds just fine.

Very cool HV. Waaay bigger than I was expecting. lol Good thing is I only had to make minor changes to my CV to carry it, but the CV is entirely too big to begin with. Thumbs up anyway! :steamhappy:

Heads up, tested this on an alien world. It saved my buddies bacon when I spawned it at a POI but it kept getting stuck on little alien bushes. Ended up scrapping it. Maybe it's safer for arid/temperate/snow worlds

@Domineus Thanks - the two combat mechs are kind of set pieces that I wasn't planning on releasing yet. Although they're fully functional, piloting them is awkward due to the design + we don't really have any moving / articulating building blocks yet.

@CaillouVelu - The only thing edited are the black backdrop pictures (to remove horizon cast) and the gridline / blueprint. All of the other pictures are on custom planets / playfields using altered atmosphere and sky/light coloring values. These settings can be altered by changing values listed in playfield.yaml and terrain.ecf of the playfield folder.

Provided you've got some good color swatches and have a decent understanding of how the lighting parameters interact with each other, no post processing or special shaders are needed and everything can be achieved in-game.

@H.P. Strangelove As a matter of fact, I was excavating a derelict starship underwater buried in sediment, and I noticed my inventory filling up with RCS. I didn't know RCS had another function outside the item description of Lshift ability. So I added 5 more RCS and now I'm soaring over mountains and skating around the planet. SO AWESOME

Ahh your interior is so gorgeous. All the lights and colors and details to catch the eye. I love interiors.

Well sir, you have an eye for details for sure! Picture number 10 made me think of the movie "Armageddon". That view when the second shuttle is coming over the crest!
