Sorry - I've not been maintaining my Stellaris mods -- moved to Distant Worlds 2 and my efforts are all focused over there.
Valaso Osalav 15 Mar, 2024 @ 10:46am
will this work with the current stellaris version?
Mordachai  [author] 20 Aug, 2021 @ 3:42pm
Just updated to 3.0.*
Mordachai  [author] 20 Aug, 2021 @ 3:39pm
Yeah, I think I intentionally set the starting cap -10 lower. It does provide 4 extra techs to raise that well beyond.

Hi there, just checking if you've checked this against 3.0 or if you plan to update compatibility for the latest version. Thanks!

(continued)

However, my time is severely limited of late -- very intensive job -- so little desire to mod during down time.

The next time I update this series I'll fix the descriptions. I have the full text saved in them. It's pretty lame that Stellaris blows it away everytime, and doesn't supply a simple mechanic to just "use this file every time" -- but c'est la vie.
Mordachai  [author] 29 Dec, 2020 @ 5:12pm
The short descriptions are due to the new mod manager -- I have to copy & paste the descriptions by hand from another source - or else it does this on its own.

I don't know of a way to limit technologies or similar to only the player.
I can limit the better start one - because that's a script that chooses who to help. However, I've not tried to implement this - though I doubt it's very hard. Just some research to find out how to filter on only the player's worlds & techs & so on. You're welcome to do so - and repost that as an alternate mod. Just refer to the source someplace - and otherwise I'm cool with that. (for any mods I've made).

Hey Mordachai, I’m not sure if you’re aware of this or not, but it appears that there’s an issue with the descriptions of this mod and a few of your other similar mods for Stellaris (Better Perks, Better Ships, and Better Camera). With these four mods, it appears that the full descriptions are not properly included and in such a way that it looks like they were copied from the shortened previews you would get from mousing over the mod in any UI window before actually accessing it. They’re all very short and each one ends abruptly in the middle of a sentence or word with an ellipsis (three periods),and I figured I should bring this to your attention. I’m wondering about the full details of what these mods actually do, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Also, do you know if there would be a way to allow/configure these mods to only affect player-controlled Empires, if the one installing desires such?

Thanks in advance!

Very kind of you to say. I'm happy with my little mods - but there are much grander ones out there!

Mordachai  [author] 31 Oct, 2020 @ 12:48pm
yes - though I don't believe there's any conflicts. always nicer if it doesn't show a warning symbol :)
HendersonVirtual 30 Oct, 2020 @ 10:25am

Mordachai  [author] 10 Oct, 2020 @ 9:12am
Thanks for checking. I'll do an update sooner or later and update the published version to match latest.

AimAce 20 Mar, 2020 @ 10:21pm
Does this need an update
Mordachai  [author] 14 Feb, 2020 @ 5:25pm
yes - 2.5 compatible.
Arty 13 Feb, 2020 @ 2:44pm
is this 2.5 compatible?
Mattie AH 1 Dec, 2019 @ 2:24pm
cheers for the update
Mordachai  [author] 26 Oct, 2019 @ 5:24pm
Will do. 2.4 should be fine. I'm not sure that they did more than break the launcher again.
onit 26 Oct, 2019 @ 2:35pm
please update for 2.5
Decimus 19 Oct, 2019 @ 8:51am
thanks

What other mods are you running? This is the same code as I posted for 2.3.3 and ran constantly myself - I just bumped the version number that it claims (after checking that the new version from PDX didn't change anything important).

I've never not seen the edicts appear. I'm running this now (albeit in 2.4.1).

Do you see the icons - improved icons for shipyard if nothing else...?
BarbarianJoe21 16 Oct, 2019 @ 9:00pm
I know you said it's compatible, but I have it enabled, and it doesn't seem to work, the edicts dont show up.
Mordachai  [author] 16 Oct, 2019 @ 1:22pm
yes - this is 100% compatible with 2.3.3

Just ignore the warning. Sorry - I didn't keep a separate copy - but the code hasn't changed - only the number - since 2.4 and 2.3 are actually the same engine from PDX - only the launcher changed and some minor visuals (UI stuff)
BarbarianJoe21 16 Oct, 2019 @ 10:35am
Would this still work with 2.3.3, and if not, could we get a legacy version?
Mordachai  [author] 6 May, 2019 @ 5:17pm
Addendum - I did slightly increase the number of starbases you could support based on the number of systems you possess.
Mordachai  [author] 9 Mar, 2019 @ 1:31pm
Only techs currently. My recent games in 2.2.x have all led to me to believe that leaving the values at their current vanilla settings is solid. You or others could of course advocate for more if you really feel that's preferable. That would be a trivial additional mod, as another possibility.
Dansel 9 Mar, 2019 @ 4:43am
Is the base rate of naval cap growth per pop still changed? Or is it only techs now?
