This asset is based on "Bicycle Path".
Changing the Road Property "Flatten Terrain" in "Pavement Path" and "Bicycle Path" may cause the path to sink on the ground.
"Flatten Terrain" is a must for this asset in order to take advantage of my design. I have no choice but to live with this bug.
An additional DLC "Park Life" is required, but I made a patch that can repair the sunken part. Please deal with this.
P and B pavement+ patch
They can be restored using the Move-It mod node adjuster, but still very annoying, and ultimately a deal-breaker for an otherwise aesthetically pleasing and efficient custom asset.
Here it is what I noticed:
- maybe I am wrong, but it seems to happen only for ground level paths (no elevated or bridge; I did not use tunnels yet)
- it seems the game is constantly trying to fixing it: I upgraded many paths inside one of my residential districts, and the next time I loaded a saved game some of them were sunken and they looked like the street lights were shifting up and down; this activity made the game so busy that the simulation speed was extremely low; fixing the paths restored the regular simulation
Any fixed yet?
@WackRam Any fixed yet?
this is great work.
It is hard to find tbh, I saw biffa use it and it. Add tags so that it is easier to search.
Has anyone found a work around for the sink hole bug that happens sometimes? I occasionally notice upon restart that some of the pathways have turned into monster ravines to the bottom off the world.
I am guessing that is is flat-not-so-flat terrain causing this?
The only work around that I have found is to raise the starting node to 1m and the second node to 2m which creates a low bridge.
It's my pleasure to be used by Cities Skylines players all over the world.
Why isn't there a problem? I guess it's not a path.
When creating network assets, we first need to select the base network in game.
In the case of this asset, it is based on a bicycle path. The rest is in the black box.
You can make a multi-lane path without any problems. Try it!
I use the other one now without any problems so far. But it doesn't look as beautiful.
By the way: Do you think it's technically possible to create multiple lane bicycle/pedestrian roads in Cities Skylines?
I think it's a bug.
You can avoid the phenomenon of holes, by turning off "Flatten Terrain" in the "Road Properties" of this asset. However, this path is modeled to use "Flatten Terrain", so turning it off does not give me the shape I want.
"Flatten Terrain" is an option to straightens the slope between nodes and flattens the terrain beside the path, and is a commonly used setting for roads on the ground. It does not inherently make a hole on the ground.
It may not be what you want, but I made one with the same functionality.

The performance is intentionally set to be lower than that of Bicycle Path.sorry.
Wouldn't it be strange if there was a tree growing on the pavement? This is being done intentionally. The slope is also wider than a standard slope. These are because I wanted to look good.
If you need only function, use " Pedestrian and Bicycle pavement ".
anyway , good job!
This is a bug on the C:S side that I can not fix.
There are two ways to work around this.
It is to elevate the height of the part where the hole is made and to make it a bridge.
Another way. Change the properties of the asset and turn off "Flatten Terrain" in "Basic". However, in this case, the terrain will not be linked to the Path.
Invisible path are not possible with this asset.
I will try it with the new asset. Please wait.
I really want to use the path on top of quays, but with the elevated and bridge mods of current path there is always a fence. It would be great if I could have elevated with no fence, and bridge with a fence, that way I can choose where fence will go (requires Fine Road Tool / Anarchy obviously).
I will make what I want to make. thanks.
This is the Path category that the car can not pass through. That is natural.
Please know the behavior in the game with Pavement Path etc.
You can connect with Path.
have fun!
The bicycle runs fast on this road. I tried to feel as much as possible without accidents.
It is possible to make a road like your proposal. I will put it in my production reservation list.
I think that I will make it a little slower road because the bicycles pass each other.
