Loaded this up today. Not only are lifeships gone, as described by others, but the starting colony/capitol is an salvageable mess. Unfortunate, seems like this mod is completely broken now.

One of the most underrated mods on the workshop. Hope it gets updated! Until then anyone who wants to play as nomads should use DarkSpace since its nomad mechanics are almost identical

I am really liking the setup of this mod, but like True Knight, I am unable to figure out how to get lifeships, might be broken

Playing this mod on the newest patch, 3.4.4, and I am unable to create lifeships, and the template for them simply does not exist in the ship designer. Is this just an issue with my game, or is it a mod issue? If it is a mod issue, will it be fixed?

I don't have any resource platforms, and both ships are correctly gated behind having the origin. Even if you somehow got them without the origin, lifeships are useless because the logic doesn't run without the origin.

Stations of non-nomad empires can build the resource platforms. Is this intentional? Thank you :steamthumbsup:

Been ages since I played stellaris but I remember another Nomadic Origins mod.
Same one? Because apparently this one just lets you colonize planets which the old one def didn't do and seems really out of place.

i tried this a few times now most of it worked fine but my housing districts kept disapearing and flickiering back up and off every few moments

lifeships no longer directly produce resources, they give you two districts on the planet that you have on the outliner

so each life ships gives 2 districts worth of output as there resource and also need 2 times the jobs its input? so a metallurgist one would need 12 minerals and gives 6 alloy?

that's out of date info, lifeships give 2 districts of their type decided by the required component on them, I forgot that existed and will now delete it

that's why the building slot mod is recommended, you'll struggle really hard without it because you simply can't get enough of the bonuses you normally get from buildings

I'm not sure what I'll do to fix that at some point either

Needs a buff for crime, also maybe a way to ignore borders. Science and Unity is also pretty hard to gain.

Because it's still hacky as hell, and would require significant rewrites to a lot of systems to work more consistently.

I wonder why Paradox still haven't given us a real nomad DLC, because all these mods show that's it's definitely possible to have them.

you need to put them in separate fleets for each type for the game to not do that

separating them that way would be nearly unfeasable to keep balanced, because of how the game is set up

and also when i upgrade the life boats, everything goes to one ship type, maybe you can separate it like corvets and crusers, but with energy and mineral life boats. do you get it?

so is it supposed to happen, that any time you research a tech, it shows up in your empire modifier panel? cause it is, even when youre not playing this origin. and its causing alot of lag when you open your empire tab

Having run this mod a few times, psionic ascension works fine. You obviously can't gene mod pops that don't exist, so genetic ascension is out. Not so sure about synthetic ascension.

Also, megastructures still work as normal.
