It's possible it's a name, some of the helmets have textures for a name.

That's odd, maybe I'll swap the helmet colors of the two main helmets and see if it returns to a gray tone. If that's not what you meant, early war helmets were painted apple green.

It allows me to make use of varied insignia, such as panzergrenadier litzen or M36/40/43/etc. reichsadlers, rather than just have one style for each unit - that way you can use each skin together and not worry about having an inaccurate waffenfarbe.

Yes, this is true, early German helmets were painted in apple green. There is only one helmet which has this color within the pack, the others are left as-is.

Why did you recolour the Wehrmacht helmets to green without any decals? As far as I know only really early helmets were green and had at least the Reichsflagge decal.

you could also mix them, italian camo was often used with oakleaf and dot, plane tree.
you could also give them blurred edge, or palm tree, would love to see them

My current plans for the 17th SS are to either keep the helmet cover as-is or change it a bit, but still retain the summer oak; all units will have Italian camouflage pants (17th employed this kind of camo), officers have a normal tunic, enlisted men also have a normal tunic, and the snipers, well, I'm considering just giving them an oakleaf tunic since I've seen examples of it.

no i mean that the 17th SS has summer oakleaf, would be a shame for that to be robbed of them

If you mean for my 1st SS mod, I find that it'd be more suited to have an autumn oakleaf helmet.

I am currently working on the 17th SS, and will replace their camouflage tunic with a normal feldbluse, so yeah. I'll go ahead and give them proper SS collar tabs. I also plan on redoing my 1st SS as well.

Could you add the SS collar tabs to the SS units?

Now this is something I look forward to.

I'd imagine only if they have sv_pure enabled, otherwise it'd be the same as any other retexture mod
