Extremely buggy and broken as of 2022.

1st scene may refuse to acknowledge laptop imput action, thus softlocking.

2st scene has naked human man named ``DefaultModel`` following player.

3st scene is the worst. At the matrix, should you enter any of the doors, enemies will imediatelly atack both inside matrix and in meatspace , thats bad of course, but the game keeps skipping your actions and again, locking you out.
Sir_Elrond 1 Oct, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Can't pass the first scene. No effect when acting on the computer after finding the credstick.

how long is the story/campaign
Zane Grey 13 Feb, 2014 @ 8:17am
I'm getting the same bug as previously commented. The core model without clothes is following me around, and I just get a black screen instead of transitioning into the next scene. cannot progress from here.
Ralk 2 Feb, 2014 @ 7:59am
I really love the enviornments and combat situations in this campaign. The amount of typos and grammtical mistakes can really use some work though. Im also getting a clitch right after the battle where you save the homeless dwarf. I didnt choose a decker for my runner party and the mission comes to a stand still and i cannot progress further. Maybe forcing the player to choose a decker would solve this issue. Otherwise, pretty sweet!

Interesting mod, but lots of typos, breaks the immersion for me.
Toni-technaclaw 31 Oct, 2013 @ 11:11am
I'm Getting a Bug in the bar where it spawns a Black guy in Underpants following around and I Can't transition to the Next stage. it just black screens and doesn't load anything.:pandastunned:

I'd recommend doing some sort of autosave for after the 1st market place battle has been completed. Would remove much of the frustrations with that area, due to the 2nd battle being a pain the ass (though beatable with enough attempts).

The whole UGC could use some extensive typo and wrong english word fixing.

Other than that, this was a fine UGC that I very much enjoyed. Look forward to future installments if they come about.
decoi 17 Oct, 2013 @ 5:19pm
I would recommend for the market shoot out placing a crate next to the van that acts as the shadowrunner stash/load out point and making the van strictly the get away/ exit scene point once all objective have been complete
wisprr 3 Oct, 2013 @ 2:49pm
Here's a tip for any deckers playing this UGC: If you need some programs just go to the van and use it, you can pick up some basic programs there. (I wish I would have known that sooner, ah well, I managed anyways.)

Either way, I had a fun time playing this UGC, and am looking forward to further installments to this campaign, keep up the good work! :cybereye:

Disappointing to not be able to procede because lonestar all died before my decker jacked in
bfazzee 11 Sep, 2013 @ 5:18pm
why can't I download? why why why????
fritztcoyote 8 Sep, 2013 @ 2:59pm
Pretty good so far, one glaring bug - looks like if you bypass the 'bartender quest' by passing the charisma check the gang attack in the shopping area does not happen.
GreyHammer 30 Aug, 2013 @ 7:10am
Bloddyhands911 - I was gewtting the same thing but found that you have to move all team members to the area around the van. The mission objective could be changed... (but i wonder what happens if one of your team dies can you finish?
Rumhead  [author] 27 Aug, 2013 @ 2:52pm
Thanks for feedback, i will try to solve this as soon as i have the time.
bloodyhands911 26 Aug, 2013 @ 5:06pm
so i have done the marketplace fight three times with the same results. i get the three files from the matrix, i kill all the lonestar, and my objectives are all checked. all except "Defend your Hacker". I cannot find anymore lonestar and the van only takes me to my stash.
Rumhead  [author] 25 Aug, 2013 @ 3:57pm
Thanks. Right now its hard for me to find the time to work on it but i hope i can get back to it as soon as possible.
Nairagorn 23 Aug, 2013 @ 11:10pm
Big thumbs up! Great module. Need a spellchecker but the writing is great otherwise, and your scenes look perfect. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with!
Rumhead  [author] 22 Aug, 2013 @ 4:02am
the thug is in the south of the club. You need to talk with him. And after the yelling dwarf you should try to find the matrix entrance. I will update it to make it more clear as some people seem to have a hard time to find the matrix.
Mizaroth 21 Aug, 2013 @ 7:21pm
nice, im liking the strong rpg elements, nice visual appeal to your environments! keep up the good work!! ... couldnt find the thug in the 'edge tho... and couldnt figure what to do after speaking (yelling??) with the screaming dwarf by the market; does it end there for now or did i miss something? nice mod!
Rumhead  [author] 21 Aug, 2013 @ 3:45pm
@ m11kire Thanks for the feeback. Was very busy the last days but it should be fixed now.
m11kire 20 Aug, 2013 @ 12:55am
In Cutting Edge I can tell the bartender I've dealt with the punk before he asked me to, and I could keep doing so, getting one karma each time. I thought i should make sure you were aware of this.
Rumhead  [author] 19 Aug, 2013 @ 1:02am
thanks for the feedback and great to hear that you liked it. Im going to hunt that specific typo down when im home..
Galheris 18 Aug, 2013 @ 5:58pm
Just wanted to say i loved it as well! like everyone has said, a few typos (the only one that bugged me was the 2nd spelling of massacre after one taht was correct). Thanks for making this: it revived my intrest in the game!
Rumhead  [author] 17 Aug, 2013 @ 1:58pm
@El_Poco Thanks a lot man. That keeps me going.

The typos are very annoying. English isnt my mother tongue and i pushed the release earlier then i would have liked for personal reasons. I will rework them when i finished the rest.

@ LS can act twice when the player team can only act once is a bit unfair:

Lots of people already complained anout that and i thought i took it out, It seems like i missed a line. Initially it was there to bring LS faster into combat and make the fight more dynamic. But it seems like i didnt implemented it right so it buged out quite often, leading to your scenario. I will look into it and try to fix it.

And im working actively on more content again Thanks for the feedback
El_Poco 17 Aug, 2013 @ 1:49pm
This is the best UGC I've played so far. I was quite disappointed by the quality of most UGC, and starting to think it would never get very high, and finding this one really prove me wrong. The mapping is excellent, far above what I've seen so far in UGCs, the writing is pretty good and the combat situations are well designed and lead to really tense situations and interesting combat scenes.

I'm really impressed, Tucker, and I'm eagerly waiting for the rest.

(Just to nitpick: there are a few typos, and the fact that the LS can act twice when the player team can only act once is a bit unfair)
Rumhead  [author] 15 Aug, 2013 @ 1:25pm
Thanks tyler_sdogma.

Also good news. It seems that, for whatever reasons, i can republish again and that gives me enough motivation to start working on the most recent fixes and improvements and i will soon beginn to start to work on more content.
tyler_sdogma 14 Aug, 2013 @ 9:09pm
I actually enjoyed that. Bravo!
Rumhead  [author] 14 Aug, 2013 @ 5:58pm
Yeah i know what you mean. I will make it more clear in a future update. As of right now steam workshop is on strike and doesnt let me publish a new update.
ohmmega 14 Aug, 2013 @ 5:57pm
the get item icon I am refering to is the one on the van...did not make myself clear on the last post
ohmmega 14 Aug, 2013 @ 5:56pm
I just figured it out...EVERY member of your team seems to need to be in direct contact with the van not just in area around...then it worked...since it was still in combat mode I was not sure if I was just missing an enemy out there or what...perhaps changing the get item icon after the fight to a exit point so that your team knows to get to that point? not sure..thanks for the reply
Rumhead  [author] 14 Aug, 2013 @ 5:43pm
Did you download the 3 datapacks? If so there should be a new mission goal named "FLEE!" apear. That should tell you that you need to flee to the van aka bring all your runners close to the van.
ohmmega 14 Aug, 2013 @ 5:22pm
are you supposed to be able to exit the market after the Lonestar battle? The only thing I have left on my to-do list is to survive and escape...My team and I have survived, but I cannot find any exit point...bug? or am I juat missing the obvious..cant talk to the homeless guy anymore..the van only lets me get items from it and jacking back into the Jackpoint just lets me kill any programs I had not already killed...
Rumhead  [author] 14 Aug, 2013 @ 1:23pm
@wisprr yep this is true. I figured out that the problem is that only the decker can see the jackpoint. If your main is not a decker and you leave combat / cant play the decker anymore, you will not see the jackpoint anymore. Ive already made a change so that when you enter the jackpoint area the first time you will stay in combat.

@Starbuck yep thx for the feedback. I think i have to delete some suspent move line, this will take away a bit of the dynamic of the fight but as many people like your reported already this can cause weird behaviorism in that stage of the fight. I will edit it.

But there is another problem. As usual steam is already fu**ed up again and i cant update this project. It will foce me to republish it as a new project. Annoying as always.
So before i update/republish i will wait for a bit more content and i have someone who helps me with the dialogues. So i guess, as stupid as it is, you and i have to wait until then before i fix this issues.
Starbuck 14 Aug, 2013 @ 4:33am
nice run, but something was weird in the market
once my decker is in the matrix, combat mechanics are somewhat jinxed
1) decker move
2) lonestar move
3) decker move
4) lonestar move
5) rest of my team move

.... 1 action turn for my back-up squad vs 2 for the cops
I won on my first try because I was "lucky", I guess (and my decker is a fast one), but barely and not with everyone against a swarm of blue badges.

also, would it be possible to add a few ley lines in the market.
even minor ones would provide some extra tactical options

many thx
wisprr 14 Aug, 2013 @ 4:22am
@Tucker - I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you before, but the basic mechanics of the game is that you have to be in combat more to enter the Matrix. So the only way I am aware to solve the problem of not being able to jack in after killing the cops is to find a way to keep the runners in combat. (From what I've read that can be difficult as well, I'm not sure how the basic campaign manages to do it, can you take a peak into that to find out?)
Rumhead  [author] 14 Aug, 2013 @ 3:22am
@jason Thanks for feedback. I keep hearing about that bug but i have no idea why this is happening. Because the dwarf has a trigger that just makes the point accessable. And thats it. There are no requirements necessary and i dont understand why the point gets closed once you killed the cops. I will try to find a solution.
Bitbyter 13 Aug, 2013 @ 5:34pm
Found a bug. If you kill the lonestar squad before your decker jacks into the matrix you fail the mission. Once combat ends there is no way for your decker to jack in.
Verum Jones 13 Aug, 2013 @ 4:20pm
No worries on the typos man english is my first langauge and i still havent mastered it lol
Was a good mod i enjoyed it and thanks for making it.
make more if ya have the time. =)
Rumhead  [author] 12 Aug, 2013 @ 7:14am
@ Phrosen. Absolutly. But as i already explained i kinda had to rush the publishing as i am very busy for the next weeks. If i just had waited i probably had forgoten or lost interest in it. Thats why i released a version with many typos. I explained it in the discussion thread above as well. I had to decide between this or not releasing at all. And i knew for some people bad dialogues are a big no-no but thats how it is.I tried my best in the time i had at hand. Otherwise there wouldnt even be a mod. Keep in mind im just a regular dude who made this in his spare time. And i already put more time in it as planed.

But thanks for the feedback.
Phrosen 12 Aug, 2013 @ 5:39am
You should ask someone to control read all the conversations and edit the spelling for you.
Rumhead  [author] 11 Aug, 2013 @ 7:10pm
@Phrosen It will stay pretty much the way it is. And im not so sure what do you mean with potential. Potential for what?
I did my best, and its pretty much as good as it gets. I will polish it here and there but this wont happen until i finished the entire campaign or someone makes very precise suggestions. I can understand if my english skills are not good enough to make you feel really immersed but thats just how it is.
If you want to see improvements then please give me some constructive feedback otherwise its just to vargue.
Rumhead  [author] 11 Aug, 2013 @ 7:02pm
@cierdiaz Thanks for feedback. But im not sure if you really played with a female charakter because all the situations where "Mr." is displayed is scripted and reacts to your gender. I tested it and they called my female char "Madam". If there are still passages where this isnt the cast please point them out so i can fix that.
The rest is pretty much up to your taste. I like it the way it is. I like it that dark and i wont rework the scripts. My english is not perfect- Its just the way it is. I had to decide to release it completely in german, than my dialogue would be perfect but my content would reach just a few people or go with my english but therefore can share it with pretty much everyone. And you see what i choose.
Phrosen 11 Aug, 2013 @ 4:24pm
This UGC has potential. It needs a lot of improvements. Especially the conversations.
cierdiaz 11 Aug, 2013 @ 3:21pm
sorry first time posting.
cierdiaz 11 Aug, 2013 @ 3:21pm
Hey Tucker Just started playing Burning Bridges and i want to say nice job on the maps. Ive been playing for a few minutes and want to bring up few things that you may or may not have over looked. Character diaolouge is a bit to long, in fact the script as a whole has issues im haveing trouble understanding what's being said. Maybe you should go back and edit the script? or have some one do it for you. Another thing, it just bothered me but the diaolouge should have have some gender cues. I.E. playing a female character and everyone is calling me a he or sir. I have not got to the combat yet but I definately will keep playing. I know your going for a dark atmosphere but try to lighten up the maps a bit I could'nt see where I was going. Just some things to think about when you make another shadow run campaign or if your going to continue work on this one.
..:Right2Live1:.. 11 Aug, 2013 @ 3:07pm
Awesome UGC! having problem with the matrix jackpoint though. Seems like it is the same issue. I have a decker runner, killed the "enemy", found the spot withthe jackpoint, but no icon to click on...
Rumhead  [author] 11 Aug, 2013 @ 2:49pm
@sirchet dont worry man. He probably screamed loud.;) And sure, if you like to help me out that would be great. If you find anything thats really off or have suggestions please post it in the discussion thread above.

@GM_Wil: Im glad about every kind of feedback. That bug was also reported before and kinda know what might causes it. But i still need to find a good way to deal with it. The problem lies withing a trigger that gives LoneStar time to move up to your team so that the actions starts immediately. Because the runner inside the matrix gets 3 turns and the team/lonestar outside get 1. This is to simulate the fast matrix. If i know fix the problem then lonestar might come into action to late and the decker is to fast. Maybe i could turn down the matrix to 2 moves per round so lonestar has some time to move up. I will think about it.
maik.decker 11 Aug, 2013 @ 2:43pm
Very nice stuff.. only faced one minor problem: the char I used is a streetsam/decker combination. The problem is, he had no ESPs or programs whatsoever after importing him, so he had to go at the Lonestar system "naked" - nonetheless he got all the data he needed (due to playing on normal difficulty I guess and by just blasting through the system and not stopping for any IC ;)
Had some trouble leaving with the van, until I thought of also moving my rigger's drone to the van ;)
sirchet 11 Aug, 2013 @ 2:32pm
Hah hah so, I read it backwards .

Then it was completely on me.

I did really enjoy the adventure and hope you keep on making more.

I'd be happy to help with proof reading, (although I seem to read some things backwards heh heh).
