actually in the base game j'zargo has had a really high heavy armor skill i think he is supposed to be a battlemage kind of follower

Just started using him so decided to load this mod. Cast Empathy on him to see his stats, is he really that high in heavy armor?! For a Mage? Or maybe I got a bugged result? It showed a 77 Heavy armor skill and a light armor of I think it was 15.
If that is the case, though, giving him more abtitute to melee weapons is definitely a briliant idea. I have just yet to see him use anything but sparks. Any tips?

He is a mage so shouldnt he be more likely to use higher level spells and you can teach him spells that would be slightly weaker versions of your current one?

= O !!! Please people Dont use "player.placeatme 0001c195." Its ONLY dessinged to give / place clones / copies , not actual un less you know what your doing , if you guy dies the better commands to use is prid guys id hit enter the type moveto player or guys id .moveto player

Also is this guy marriageable, if now as a i know khajiit responses dont allow for it, so I was thinking if your still going to be working on this, if you might like to try replacing his voice pack argonian as a wrok around they still ( i beleive) sound good on khajiit and offer people the marriage resposnses o.o ^^ ( just a suggestion)

You should give him Disintegrate and destruction dual casting as well the sparks would be worthwhile. A good idea is to give him the dragon priest mask the boosts shock damage

@egd I'm not sure. I've heard stories of characters who've died even if they were set to essential. If you are still able to find his body, you can use the "ressurect" console command. If not, then you can just type in "player.placeatme 0001c195." That should create a new J'zargo.

Khajiit have bonus damage with their fists (claws), that's why he uses unarmed.

i agree with Frieten. J'zargo is a mage type not really a sword combat type. I wish there was a mod that would enable him to use other spells other THAN sparks... his character has such potential and he is the only character so far that can reach lvl 81 but uses the crappiest spell :L

if i would mod him I would give him better spells, for example the expert spells cause he boasts about mastering them

I'm having troubles getting him to daul wield. Put 2 swords in his inventory, he uses one.

I gave him a nice war axe, and he used it to its potential. Saved me from the High Hrothgar troll with it. (Good kitty.)

Hi guys! I'm having the same problem as [HKC] Czorio..Pls help...

"It broke J'zargo, he stands there acting like he's holding a weapon and using a spell, but he still holstered his weapon and there's no spell effect. Also, he doesn't attack and is just plain useless. This didn't happen before. Help? D:"

If I try and hurt J'zargo in the un-modded he never dies either, just yields. Maybe my game is pre-patch something. Funny mod though, he looks deadly.

Nevermind, I turned off this mod, then he did the same. Killed him, he went on the ground on his knees, then resurrected him (even though he wasn't really dead) with console commands. Now I shall turn this back on.

Very effective. I used J'zargo without and with the mod and there was a definite differance. When I start a character that uses J'zargo I will definately download this mod. Thumbs up :D

In response to the comment below: Yes, J'zargo's unarmed combat is, relatively speaking, rather strong. BUT, it is nothing compared to the damage output of regular melee swords / maces / axes, especially higher tier ones. In no way does this mod nerf his melee damage, it simply opens up J'zargo's AI to do the correct thing - pick the most effective attack for whatever situation he is in (as it always should have). Running up to a dragon and punching it in the face is not the smartest thing to do, especially when a 100+ damage enchanted fire and electric ebony sword is in his inventory. I kind of fail to see how this is s nerf, if its allowing him to use REAL weapons.

You realize J'zargo's punching actually makes him one of the most powerful companions, because he lvls up to 80 with the Player, has Max ranks in heavy armor, and Khajit bonus to unarmed dmg? This means that his punching dmg is = to the armor of his gauntlets + 15 from Khajit Claw Bonus. This mod actually nerfs his probable melee dmg.

Is there a way to get him to use other spells instead of sparks when he's out of melee range? It'd be nice to see him use Chain Lightning over Sparks.
