@MeniliteZ: Thank you for your feedback. You can still earn Faith points by tile yields, Relics, etc. Give it a try, and I think you'll agree it provides a good balance.
MeniliteZ 28 May @ 9:46am
This would be useful, except for the removal of Holy Sites/Lavras, prayer projects and related polices.

How are you supposed to get Faith Points to buy anything like Rock Bands and Naturalists?

Is there a version that keeps those in, but just removes the ability to start religions?
Sanki 28 May @ 2:29am
does it still works ? this is exactly what I need, would love to condemn heretics without war but removing religion entirely is fine too.
Elkian Lionblood 29 Aug, 2021 @ 3:58pm
Still works as of August 2021! Thanks for this! I was a little worried when the pantheon picker cropped up but that was the end of it (and you can still buy Naturalists, nice!)

@Dazz Aephiex: Tested and confirmed. Thank you!

UPDATE GreatPersonClasses SET AvailableInTimeline=0 WHERE GreatPersonClassType='GREAT_PERSON_CLASS_PROPHET';

This line of code leaves the Great Prophet present in the game but not for hire, not unlike the unique great person type of Gran Columbia. I tested and it worked fine with Automatic Workers and Real Great People (UI).
Das Capitolin  [author] 6 May, 2021 @ 9:15am
@Dazz Aephiex: If you have suggestions on how I might rework the code of my mod to be more compatible with yours, please message me.
Dazz Aephiex 6 May, 2021 @ 4:07am
The reason why it causes automatic workers to cease working is the UNIT_GREAT_PROPHET get deleted from the database, causing a line of code to pop nil index error. I have spotted this issue and automatic workers will get updated soon, becoming compatible with mods that deleted the UNIT_GREAT_PROPHET from the game.

Man I've been waiting for a mod like this for a long time. I hate religion in civ VI They should have given us the option to play with religion or not but instead they forced religion down our throats and made this game frustrating at times, especially when they send an invasion of prophets and disciples when the religion is turned off and your trying to play a domination victory. Grrrr, lol! Thank you very much for your hard work and, God bless you, lol!:steamhappy:
**ⓈHAⓇK** 5 Oct, 2020 @ 3:39am
Thanks for the great MOD
cameranutzii 4 Oct, 2020 @ 2:33pm
Awesome! TY so much for your hard work!
Das Capitolin  [author] 4 Oct, 2020 @ 2:16pm
I have tested a new version that is compatible with more mods, including Better Balanced Starts. This release will be uploaded in a moment.
cameranutzii 1 Oct, 2020 @ 7:40am
Any ideas as to why it would conflict with this mod...

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1958135962

With both enabled I cant start a game. TY!

My first award! Thank you, sincerely, DJV. :CapitalDome:
Favedave 29 Sep, 2020 @ 3:10pm
Well, Das, apparently the thumbs are the only ratings. I thought I could do stars, too :( I have no idea why anyone would thumbs down it -- possibly religious fanatics ;) I also gave you a golden unicorn, so I hope that's something!
Das Capitolin  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 2:28pm
That is very kind of you, DJV. So far as I know, Steam only allows a thumbs-up or thumbs-down vote. I am surprised by the down votes. This does exactly what it claims to do, so I have no idea what their complaint is. :(
Favedave 28 Sep, 2020 @ 1:37pm
I am trying to rate this mod to make up for the low rating... but I cannot figure out how to do that!
Disciple 28 Sep, 2020 @ 3:06am
Thanks for the info. I'm new to the game so didn't know
Das Capitolin  [author] 27 Sep, 2020 @ 1:25pm
@Dante: Keep in mind that saved 'Setups' also save the mods within them. It's always best to start a new game from scratch whenever you've updated mods or made changes. It can also be helpful to delete the Mods.sqlite file to reset mod status (then enable as desired).
Disciple 27 Sep, 2020 @ 11:26am
Enabled the mod, started a new game and it doesn't work. Religions and pantheons were being founded. Doesn't even appear active in the 'Mods in use' section.
Favedave 27 Sep, 2020 @ 12:27am
Best. Mod. Ever. THANK YOU for making the game so much more enjoyable!
Das Capitolin  [author] 22 Sep, 2020 @ 7:47am
@cameranutzii: Thank you for confirming a conflict with this mod and the Real Great People (UI) mod. I suspect that RGP forces a religious policy type that my mod removes. As for Automated Builders, that mod uses scripts that include religious districts and tiles. It cannot complete the script since my mod removes those things.
cameranutzii 21 Sep, 2020 @ 11:57am
Hey, me again! I noticed the automated builders using the below mod are no longer automated.

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182724480

I have checked it in multiple random game starts this morning and the automated builders works fine if your mod is not enabled. Any idea as to why this would happen?

Looks like it is incompatible with Real Great People (UI) mod!
--------
Can confirm this. When both are active, the Great People window can not be opened either directly thru the menu or the production button. Shft + Enter is the only way to complete the turn and the Great Person is then automatically recruited. Hence, you have no option to pass or even view the Great Person that is being offered.

Otherwise, this mod does what it says. The Great Prophet is no longer an option and no more religious units clogging up my map!
Das Capitolin  [author] 20 Sep, 2020 @ 8:25am
THAT is exactly what I created this mod, @cameranutzii! Enjoy!
cameranutzii 20 Sep, 2020 @ 6:27am
I find it really annoying that religion is still part of gameplay when religious victory is disabled. Will give this a try, TY!
jimbrown 16 Jul, 2020 @ 5:37pm
Yes! I hate the AI trying to convert me constantly
Das Capitolin  [author] 25 Jun, 2020 @ 3:59pm
Tested fully functional with version 1.0.2.39 on 25 June 2020.
Notice: Other mods may alter or break Disable Religion Holy Site.
camerico 14 May, 2020 @ 3:05pm
Works well. It is a comfort to play without the permanent infestation of the hordes of Apostles roaming the map. Thank you!
John_Arktor 26 Apr, 2020 @ 10:18am
In Civ4, I had made a mod by myself to completely remove this dum_b religious sh_t from my game, but in Civ5, I didn't manage to do it. Now I finally find a mod to do the same in Civ6. This makes me happy.

Now can someone please make the same mod for the whole real world, to finally remove this blight from our lives in order to finally get a little less stupid as a species?
skyrimemailtest 15 Apr, 2020 @ 2:46pm

**ⓈHAⓇK** 8 Apr, 2020 @ 7:00am
I have been running without issue even after your 2.6 Update. Civ 6 fits oh so well with the whole STAY AT HOME world we live in right now. Thanks for the update :starsandstripes:
Das Capitolin  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 2:22pm
Version 2.6: Religious City-States have been reassigned to other types. Jerusalem adopts Militaristic, Kandy adopts Trade, La Venta adopts Industry, and Yerevan adopts Cultural. Removed religious policy cards from the game. Deletes Inquisition, Religious Orders, Revelation, Simultaneum, and Wars of Religion policy cards from the game.
**ⓈHAⓇK** 26 Mar, 2020 @ 1:34pm
Thanks the .sql did the trick. I'm only a short bit into my new game "with religion" and quickly remember why I like this MOD of yours so much. Great Stuff! I always felt it would be a better balance if we could simply kill religious figures with all types of military units without a formal war.
Das Capitolin  [author] 24 Mar, 2020 @ 4:16pm

Thanks but I understood that. Was only using that screen instead of the in game MOD screen to show you what MODS I had. This game I tried to build a new config from scratch instead of using a saved game setup and I was able to see Holy Site build options it always pushed it away to another 2 more population. Need 10 Population, get there and then it would say 12..then 14 then 16.. I will remove the mod, check my files via steam and then see if it works and then reload and see what happens. It makes me think it's a bug being caused by MODS though I did have to "repair" my game recently when I upgraded from Win7 Pro to Win10.. it managed to wreck several game files.

Hello **ⓈHAⓇK**: Mods cannot be controlled from the Subscription screen. From the game's main menu, go to Additional Content and choose Mods. Then Left-click on the mod, and press the Enable/Disable button.
**ⓈHAⓇK** 24 Mar, 2020 @ 3:54am
Here is a screenshot of the 7 mods I run and you can see there should be no other Mod effecting Religion. Thanks for any input. Love the Disable MOD for sure, just wanted to try a Religious win as Shaka.

Not trying to be funny but to disable the this mod and allow for a religious victory everything should work as normal correct? I wanted to try for a Religious victory and can't seem to get the religious to turn back on.
Ravidalfs 22 Dec, 2019 @ 11:30am
GREAT!
I like religion spreading concept in CIV6, but its very boring. All those missionary stuff is just unreal too. Religion in the game should work ONLY like the loyalty system, somehow.

This mod was just what I was looking for. Tks.
917er 5 Dec, 2019 @ 1:23pm
Hello Capitolin, thanks for the explanation, now everything works! I am really excited, to play a full game with this mod, ususally some AI starts spamming my country with religious units, so that my army has problems to move to a certain tile. Or an AI denounces me because I have another religion. Thanks for the mod and your help!
Das Capitolin  [author] 4 Dec, 2019 @ 8:47pm
Hello 917er: First of all, I love the avatar. It's one of my favorites, so much that I can draw it freehand. Now for the mod: once you subscribe, you need to activate the mod: Open Civ VI, go to Additional Content, then Mods, and left click on the mod and press the Enable button. After that, start a new game. I will add these instructions, since not everybody knows how it's done. Thanks!
917er 4 Dec, 2019 @ 11:43am
Sorry, this is the first steam workshop mod I subscribed to, but do i have to do something after subscribing? Because I subscribed only to this mod, restarted the game and started with fredereck barbarossa from scratch and was able to build stonehedge and even got a prophet. Did I do something wrong?

Tested and confirmed fully functional with update 1.0.0.341. Enjoy!

GJ DUDE!!

Just wanted to drop a note of support for this mod. I like the idea of religion in game, but Civ 6's execution was infuriating to play with and against. The mechanics are tedious, and simply not fun. The ai's tendency to build so many religious units that it becomes impossible to even navigate your own terrain is what started me looking for something like this in the first place.

This mod does an absolutely excellent job of eliminating the idiocy that is religion in Civ 6. Excellently done.
Das Capitolin  [author] 8 Jul, 2019 @ 3:38pm
This mod does not interfere with Pantheons or Faith points. They can still buy land units with FP, but they will not be able to produce Missionary and Apostle units or Warrior Monks without a Holy Site.
easte 6 Jul, 2019 @ 2:06pm
Does the AI still choose Dance of the Aurora etc. even though they can't use them with this mod?
easte 6 Jul, 2019 @ 2:01pm
I assume that Pantheons are still active? There are UA's and resources that generate Faith points and you can get them from goody huts too. I like that the AI will no longer be able to spam missionaries and apostles, but what do they do with any FP's they do get? I'd save them for a Naturalist myself.
