i wish there was a mod that gave ninja blades the strength of katanas, without the penalty. Love using them.

why ninja blade and longsvvord have dipherent stats¿¿ they lok the same, they both are straithg blade, single edge and i'm so mad about thahth aaaA

One thing I personally do is carry, for example, a katana and a topper in the primary weapon slot of some characters. That way if you face something you don't use the katana bonus against (like robots or wild animals) you can just switch the topper and katana around to swap your weapon. Looks cool and it's useful in a way

I was wondering why there's no dual weapon in Kenshi?(why u carry two but use only one?) Anyway I like this mod, it does make ninja blade more useful.:steamhappy:

Ninja Blades fit my faction called Nine Ninjas way better than Katanas do.

By design, many weapons, and even entire weapon classes in Kenshi are meant as early game stepping stones, completely irrelevant later in the game. Weapons like staves, clubs, horse choppers, ninja blades, etc. etc. are not gonna be relevant for the whole entirety of a playthrough, only the early bits, where better weapons are unavailable/unusable(looking at heavy weapons here).
The Katana weapon class as a whole is also useful mostly in the early game, as later on you'll be facing skeletons or heavily armored individuals, where other weapons like sabers would have bonuses for.
If there's a good thing about them, they're really good at killing cannibals or unarmored bandits, with high bleed of guardless katanas, those bastards just bleed to death.

It would be, or so I think. However, like I said in my previous comment, it would be a complicated modification to do when all I'm trying is to make the weapon usable without changing the vanilla experience too sharply. Attack and parry speeds are probably what make a particular weapon the strongest in Kenshi. Besides, all in all the Ninja Blade is about the same size and weight as a normal katana ingame

Well, the aggressive version of the katana is already there (guardless katana), with a huge bonus and good bleed multiplier in exchange. I considered giving the ninja blade an indoor bonus, like the first comment points, but that could also render the wakizashi irrelevant. So basically, all this mod intends to do is allow you to use this weapon for pure flavor without having to give up too much power when compared to any other kind of short-medium katana

Great mod. The only suggestion I would make at this point is that the defense debuff should be like -8 or -12 and the attack buff should be like +8 or +12 in my opinion due to the nature of the blade.

I think these are very good changes but I often wonder why the ninja blade doesn't have an indoor bonus. These changes obviously have more weight in the long run because attack bonuses mean very little at high level.
