I made a new mod naming it 99 Trait Points to just try to upload a new mod and it wont upload.
I think thats because when I first updated this one recently It was named Points instead of Picks so its now linked the 2 together.
I made a new test mod just to test my ability to upload and it uploads just fine.
Deleted everything in the "Point" name version of the file and it wont upload...
Gonna try to make a new mod with a new name (which is stupid) and see if that works... Will link if it does..
Also when I update this one it keeps breaking the description. This is absolute bs
So I removed the id links and tried to upload it again but now the id is tied to the mod even though the mod has nothing in its files that link it back to this one.
It updated just fine yesterday and despite what the launcher tells me, the files steam download appear to be the updated version.
Idk if it will help but I did manage to find the original folder. But in all honesty it should not help much.
When I sub to the mod, the file it gives me is the updated version. But it rarely shows up in the launcher and when it does it says its missing the descriptor (which its not) and that it was made for an older version (which the descriptor file fixes to 3.1.*)
So if it shows up in your launcher and says that, try it and let me know if it works.
But in the meantime for those who are having issues Ive had to resort to uploading it to Paradox workshop and you can grab it here !99 Trait Picks [mods.paradoxplaza.com]
I ended up just copying the files and making a local mod. It's extra work, but it functions perfectly fine that way.
The one in my launcher showed up the same so I unsubbed and resubbed and it has given me the file in steams mod folder but doesnt show up on the paradox launcher.
You could unsub and go into steams mod folder to see if the mod is still there and you could delete it then come back and resub.
Or unsubbing, restarting steam, resubbing?
Thank you Swagrid

checked only this mod enabled
I just subbed and activated it and it worked just fine. This mod only changes the number of trait picks to 99 It doesnt add any traits or anything.
Are you sure your number of trait picks have not increased?
So users usually can just uptick the file in the .mod file and .description file to get the game to recognize it again.
But i agree that this is something that the user needs to do, not the mod author.
Like if they change the way something is done in the code like when they added district sets.
Other than that. That little warning on the launcher means nothing and I wish they would just allow us to hide it.
